Botox in Forehead | Before & After

Hey everyone! I had been debating getting botox in my forehead for many months now and finally took the plunge to get it done. I had originally booked an appointment in April but when my Dermatologist's office called me with a sooner availability, I decided to get it done earlier. I'll be sharing my experience with you as well as some before and after photos.

 You can tell as the day goes on, the lines only get worse. The top photo was taken minutes after applying my makeup and the bottom photo was taken a few hours into my day.

Why Did You Get Botox In Your Forehead?

I decided to get it done for several reasons. The first one being that the lines on my forehead aged me and made me appear older. I did get some rude comments on my forehead lines but I tried not to pay those people any mind. I was always envious of people who had smooth foreheads and I myself too, wanted one. Also, my Dermatologist told me when I inquired that it is better to start getting the botox now because later on in life when the lines get worse, they are harder to get rid of. She also told me that this is a really nice procedure and I overheard someone in another room that was also getting botox done. I also used many anti-aging creams, lotions, serums and anything on the market that would fade away my lines on my forehead. Nothing worked so I decided to get botox to really help target and eliminate my problem area. 

Did It Hurt & When Can You Start Wearing Makeup Again?

I have a high pain tolerance but honestly, the doctor had me look up (to see where she needed to target the wrinkles exactly,) and it just felt like small pinches. The procedure itself only took a few minutes and I was out before I knew it. I asked her how soon I could start applying makeup to my face again and she told me right away.

Cost, Where To Get It Done & How Soon You Will See Results
It will run you a few hundred dollars but it is worth every penny based on my experience. You will want to visit your Dermatologist to chat about the procedure in greater detail if you are interested about getting it done. I was told that I had to sit upright and I couldn't lie down for about 8-12 hours. You are supposed to be able to start noticing results 2 days after your set of injections but I started seeing results before then and my family members even made some comments.

When Do You Have To Go Back To Re-Up?

I have to go back in 3 months to my Dermatologist for my next round of injections. She told me that the prominent line on my forehead will be gone in a year which makes me so happy because it is my trouble spot. It makes me self-conscious and I desperately wanted it gone.

Is It Worth It & Do You Recommend It?

It is definitely worth it in my opinion and I have been so much happier without having to worry about these lines on my forehead. My forehead is frozen and when I tried to move it upwards, I can't. There are no wrinkles when I try to do my surprised face. I am an animated person meaning that I move my face a lot and especially my forehead. This has definitely contributed to my wrinkles and I'm just so thankful for getting this procedure done. Also, ever since I had this procedure done, when I have people guess my age, they now always guess 7-8 years younger because I do have a young looking face. It was always the forehead wrinkles that aged me and people would often guess my age correctly on the first 2-3 guesses.
