December Empties | 2015

Hey everyone! It's that time again! Time for another month of empties! What makes this post different is that it is the last empties post of 2015! Feel free to sort through my garbage with me one more time before the new year!

Also, I want to give a HUGE thank-you to all the readers because I have reached over 10,000 ALL TIME VIEWS! That is very exciting for me and I couldn't have done it without all of you!

Hair
Redken Scalf Relief Dandruff Control - The only reason why I bought this at Ulta is because I thought that I had psoriasis on my scalp but in reality, I just need a good clarifying shampoo to get rid of all the build-up from the products that I use on my hair. I can’t really give an opinion on this product but I wanted to use it up regardless.

L’Oreal Hair Expertise Fibralogy Hair Mask - This is my favourite hair mask on the market right now and I have been recommending it to all my friends! It works best on hair lacking thickness and it is an intense texturizing mask. My hair was getting very thin in the past months and I wanted something to help make my hair full again. This did just that for me and not to mention that it smells incredible! I already have the conditioner from the same line and I want to try other products from this line because I have had great results so far! This jar lasted me a decent amount of time as well! It is very inexpensive and I bought mine at Wal Mart.

Teeth
Crest 3D Luxe Whitestripes in Glamorous White - This are my go-to favourite white strips. I have repurchased and have not found any ones that work better so far. They do a great job at whitening your teeth. They are reasonably priced but I suggest trying to purchase them when they are on sale.

Crest 3D Luxe White Toothpaste - I have used this product before and it is in my top 3 favourite toothpastes to use. It really does a good job at cleaning your teeth and I like the mint flavour.

Colgate Total Toothpaste in Clean Mint - This is a basic and very standard toothpaste. It doesn’t do anything out of the ordinary and I really don’t care for it. I probably just bought it because it was on sale to be honest.

Face
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths (25 count) - I used up another pack of these. I really like them because each towelette is a decent size, it does not break when you are removing your makeup and the cloth does not feel dry. It says on the packaging that it “leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean,” which I would have to agree with!

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips (8 count) - These are my go-to and I will continue to use these for years to come! These strips really get out all my white heads and keep my skin in check.

Elta MD Skincare UV Daily SPF 40 Daily Moisturizing Lotion - I bought this from the laser clinic that I go to and this really does a great job at protecting my skin from the harmful UV rays. I use it daily, in the morning and it is great underneath makeup because this formula absorbs quickly into the skin. It is a little bit on the more expensive side but it did last me quite some time - maybe 6+ months with daily use.

Hands
Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Cherry Blossom - This particular scent wasn’t anything special and I don’t feel the need to repurchase it.

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Boardwalk Vanilla - You already know that my household loves this scent and that I still have many more back-ups of this scent that you will see in upcoming empties blog posts in 2016.

Body
Bath & Body Works Intense Moisture Body Butter in Twilight Woods - I love this scent because it is musky and warm smelling. The body butter is just what I needed for the colder months. It really hydrates your skin and leaves it feeling moisturized.

Eucerin Original Lotion - My dermatologist recommended this to me when my psoriasis was at its worst. This really helped with the flaking and the dry patches. It didn’t irritate my skin at all and I can’t recommend this enough! I will definitely be repurchasing this in the future because it was a saviour! You can find it at your local drugstore and it if fairly inexpensive. My brother was even using this lotion because it is unscented and didn't leave him smelling like a flower.

Other/Miscellaneous
Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies - This product needs no introduction and I have gone through yet another bottle.

Softswabs Cosmetic Applicators - I love these and find myself always reaching for these when I do my makeup. There is one pointed end and one flat end. I use the pointed edge to clean my my lipstick and also for the inner corners of my eyes as well as to clean up any smudged eye liner. The flat edge is great for right underneath the water line and to fix up any minor makeup mistakes such as fallout.

Polysporin Vitamin E enriched Formula - I have been using this since I was a kid and still find myself reaching for it. If I have a cut or anything that needs to be treated, this is my go-to! Like the packing suggests, it really helps the cut or blister to heal fast!

Samples
Facial Oils:
The Body Shop Oils of Life  - I really do like this oil. I have used many samples of it and am considering purchasing the full sized version. It doesn’t leave my face greasy and leaves my skin soft.

Nude Omega Treatment Rescue Oil - This oil was alright. I feel like I would have to use it more to really get a better opinion of it. The scent of it did remind me of a plant which I didn’t mind.

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Skin Refining Oil - I could smell the vanilla in this oil and really enjoyed that! I did enjoy using this sample

Moisturizers:
LaNeige Water Bank Moisture Cream - I really can’t remember the pros from using this product. All I can remember is that it did not stand out and i probably wouldn’t ever purchase it.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Repair with Fab Antioxidant Booster - I didn’t care for this cream but I did like the other cream I tried out from First Aid Beauty!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration for Dry Parched Skin - I enjoyed using this sample more than the Intense Repair because I felt as though this targeted my skin’s concern better. I would considering buying this in the near future.

Makeup:
Sephora Colorful Blush No5 Sweet on You! - It was alright. Nothing that blew me away though. Just a standard colour with a standard formula. I wouldn’t purchase.

Lancome La Base Pro Pore Eraser - I really enjoyed using this sample and was sad when it ran out. I will consider purchasing this product when my Porefessional runs out. It helps minimize pore and your makeup glides on so much easier with this underneath.

Lancome Miracle Cushion in 03 Beige - I hated the concept of this item. There is a cushion compact that you dab into the product and then apply to your face. This coverage is build able but I just didn’t think that it was full enough coverage for my liking. It is not cake feeling, it is actually weightless but I just can’t be bothered with this product. I also kept thinking of the bacteria inside the sponge that would occur with constant use.

Facial Masks:
Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask - I really enjoyed this product. From the cucumber scent to the feeling your face is left with after you wash this off, it’s really an awesome product. Luckily for me, I got  a jar of this in a Peter Thomas Roth Gift Set that I received for Christmas!

GlamGlow ThristyMud Hydrating Treatment - I really liked this mask! It was easy to use and the directions were easy to follow. There are many benefits to this product to such as: that it is paraben free, it is for all skin types and that it is for men and women.

Cleansers/Multiple Step Treatments:
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser - I liked this product because it did a good job at getting rid of my makeup. It is gentle and didn’t burn my eyes while using it. I am all for this product.

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Daily Peel - Step 1 & 2 - I really do like this product a lot. My skin felt so refreshed and firm after 1 use! I wish that it wasn’t so expensive to buy otherwise, I would have already started using it already.

Ole Henriksen 3-Step System for ALL Skin Types - It was nice to use but I can’t see myself using this down the road. It comes with a facial gel, a facial cream and a facial serum. You use the serum in conjunction with the cream in the AM and then you switch over to the facial gel in conjunction with the same facial cream again in the PM. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Truth Serum Collagen Booster.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

P.S. I DO plan on doing Project 10 Pan again in 2016 because I had fun doing it the first time around and it's a great way to set a goal for yourself to use up current items from your stash in order to make room for more items.

P.P.S. If you have been reading my blog for some time now, you may have noticed that I have updated the colours of my blog to incorporate the two Pantone Colours of this year which are: Rose Quartz and Serenity.

Top 5 Affordable Holiday/Winter Nail Polishes

Hey everyone! I wanted to write a blog post about all my favourite nail polishes that have been in my rotation lately! I feel that each one can be perfect to wear at a holiday party depending on your style and what you are looking for in a nail polish or just on a regular winter day!

Nail Polishes (Left to Right):
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in #390 Red Carpet
Such a great festive color! It really brings attention to the nails and can glam up your hands instantly in just 1-2 coats!

Maybelline Color Show in #305 Gilded Rose
This is a fabulous glitzy, girly colour! There are chunks of rose glitter inside, and the base colour is gold.

L'Oreal Nail Color in #116 Brit Invasion
The base colour is purple/grey and there is gold shimmer which is a beautiful combination!

OPI Nail Lacquer in My Private Jet
I heard online a few years back that Kim Kardashian was using this colour on her nails. After I viewed a picture showing her wearing this colour, I immediately had to get it! It is a darker black nail polish colour that when held up to the light, appears to reflect a shade of burgundy and it also, has little silver sparkles inside. It is a truly unique colour!

Joe Fresh Nail Polish in Twilight
This shade is probably my ultimate go-to colour right now and my favourite out of these 5 beautiful colours. I have a back-up in my collection ready to use! The base colour is a true black and there are chunky flakes of green, copper, orange and gold. I have YET to find a comparable colour from another brand.

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by!

Top 5 MAC Lipsticks

Hey everyone! I wanted to share with y'all my 5 favourite MAC lipsticks! I tried to show you a range of finishes and colours.

I will begin list them from left to right:

1. Angel - Soft Pink - Frost
2. Flamingo - Pink/Coral - Lustre
3. Silly - Bright Pink Cream - Matte
4. Myth - Light Neutral Nude - Satin
5. Mehr - Dirty Blue/Pink - Matte

Swatches

The Breakdown
1. Angel is a great colour for adding some pink colour to your lips but nothing too drastic.
2. Flamingo is a great build able colour. It comes on rather sheer compared to the others but is perfect for a nice summer day at the pool or beach!
3. Silly would be perfect for a night out with the girls! It is bold yet feminine enough. I love the matte finish of this lipstick!
4. Myth is a great basic nude colour. I wouldn't wear this shade alone as it can make my lips appear dead, however, it looks great paired with a lip liner and/or lip gloss.
5. Mehr is my current favourite nude colour. I can wear it alone because it is a darker nude shade. It is a go-to colour for me!

Until next time,

Thanks for stopping by!

November Empties | 2015

Hey everyone! I decided to do my empties post a week before the month ended because I have a lot going on and don't want to miss posting this for you!

Hair
L’Oreal Volume Collagen Conditioner - I really liked this conditioner! It really made my hair silky smooth and it also made my hair noticeably thicker. I used this conditioner for about 1.5 - 2 months and seen results within that time frame.

Face
St.Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Cleanser - I really hated this face wash. It had a strange smell, the beads were useless in my opinion and I didn’t like the formula. I actually couldn’t wait to finish this product and I’m glad that it’s finished.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover - This is probably one of the best eye makeup removers that I have ever used. It is gentle and gets just about everything off. There is the Wal-Mart version which is the Equate brand which does pretty much the same thing if you are looking for a cheaper alternative.

Body
Nivea Anti-Perspirant Invisible for Black & White Clothes - I really disliked this product. It still transferred onto my black clothes and I would disagree that it has odour protection up to 48 hours. I wouldn’t bother to buy this product again even if it was the last one in the store.

BIC Soleil Twilight (5 Count) - I have been using BIC Soleil razors for years and really enjoy using them. They are inexpensive and really helps me get a close shave. I switch out my razor about every month and this size pack lasts me almost half the year! These blades claim to be flexible but I didn’t find that to be true in my case.

Hands
Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Pumpkin Frost - I love this scent and I believe I finished one of these last year as well. I also think the packaging is great and eye-catching as it has sparkles! I haven’t seen any other BBW packaging that has glitter on it.

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Driftwood Surf - I love this scent! The best way that I can describe this scent as musky and has notes of warm amber.

Joe Fresh Nail Polish Remover Regular - This was awful. The product leaked out from the very bottom onto my Alex 9 Drawers and created such a mess inside one of my drawers! The pump was very messy and there was often times dried up product around the applicator.

Color Club Art Club Nail Art Lacquer in Clear - I was using this as a top coat as my other one had finished and it was great at first. It has a nice brush, a great consistency of the nail polish and this bottle came in a set. However, it didn’t last me too long and even though there is product still left in the bottle, it is hard to get to and is too gooey. It leaves random strings of polish and my top coat goes on with bubbles now so it is time for this polish to go.

Vitamins
Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies (80 Count) - This product really needs no introduction as I’ve used up countless of these bottles and have recommended it to many friends as well as family members.

Other/Random
Wal-Mart 100% Pure Cotton Rounds (100 Count) - This worked well and since Target is no longer in Canada, I will be purchasing these from now on just for convenience sake. I still do really like my Target ones from the Up & Up brand.

Orabrush Tongue Cleaner - I have been using these for years. I just never really spoke about them. I did take a break for a few months from using them, but I have gone back to using it and really did miss using it! It helps keep your tongue nice and pink - the way a healthy tongue should look! I do find this product useful and you can find it randomly in some stores in Canada such as Walmart.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

ELF Blush Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I hope that you are all having a wonderful and most importantly, relaxing Sunday! I have had my ELF Blush Palette for a few months now and wanted to do a review on it.

Price
First off, the price point is very affordable as it retails for $6 and you get 4 blush colours. That works out to be $1.50 per shade and the pans are a generous size. There are two palettes to choose from: light and dark. I picked mine up in the shade Light because I am very fair right now. I would consider purchasing the darker version when I get more tanned or even for the fall time as there are some gorgeous colours inside to compliment a fall look!

Packaging
Let's start off with the packaging. It reminds me of the NARS packaging in the sense that if you have makeup on your hands and pick up the black packaging, it will get messy pretty quickly. Of course you could depot these blushes into a Z Palette and then problem solved! I probably won't do this because I love the large mirror that comes with this gorgeous palette!

Swatches
As far as swatches go, the lightest pink colour and the darkest orange/brown colour have the most pigmentation. I find that they glide onto the skin the smoothest and are the most creamy. All these colours are build able and you are receiving 3 matte blushes + 1 shimmer blush. If you are concerned that these shades will be too bright for daily wear, don't be! Just use a light hand and tap off the excess product before application! Depending on your skin tone, you could potentially use the darkest colour as a bronzer or for your contour even!

Suggestions
What is discouraging is that these colours in the palette are not sold separately. That means that if you run out of a particular shade, you can't buy a pan refill or a single colour, you have the buy the ENTIRE palette yet again. However on the plus side though, this palette will most likely last you a long time due to the size of each pan. But if you were to run out of a particular colour, I think it would be awesome if ELF made these pans so that you are able to switch out the colours and maybe include some bronzers and highlighters! They could even double the amount of pans inside the palette to include 8 shades total or if that is too much, have 6 shades to include: 2 shades for bronzer, 2 blushes and 2 highlights!

Overall
I think that this is a great palette and you can combine multiple shades together to get that perfect custom colour. I would definitely take this product with me when I go on my next vacation as I can do my entire makeup look using the mirror inside this palette! And for $1.50 per blush, you really can't go wrong there!

Thanks for stopping by!

Project 10 Pan #1 - Update | 2015

Hey everyone! A few blog posts ago, I mentioned that I wanted to try out Project 10 Pan for the first time. If you remember correctly, I also said that I would be keeping it separate from my empties. I posted on a photo on Twitter of some of the empties that I finished while on vacation as a sneak peak which included some of the photos that I am about to show you!

I also wanted to do mine a bit differently. I did hit pan on some of my other products (such as my MAC Painterly Paint Pot,) but my goal is the use up my beauty products that are already in my collection. That is why I included an empty pack of makeup wipes and a finished bottle of toner. Nonetheless, there are 10 used up products.

Empty Products:
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths (25 count) - I love these am already on my second pack!

Rose Water (Cedar Brand) - I have a blog post dedicated to this product and it helped clear my acne scars and I used it to tone my face at night.

Jordana Retractable Pencil in Tawny - I love this lip pencil - it was my go-to, but I'm sad that I can't buy it in Canada!

YSL Deluxe Sample of Forever Light Creator CC Creme in Apricot - Obsessed! I don't think I can buy this where I live but I will splurge and buy the full size version whenever I can get my hands on it!

Skindinavia Travel Size of The Makeup Primer Spray - A great primer!

Skindinavia Travel Size of The Makeup Finishing Spray - An awesome spray to completely set your face without worrying about your makeup moving around throughout the day!

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation in 120 Classic Ivory - This was a decent foundation all around and I do have an entire review on this foundation!

Benefit Deluxe Sample of The Roller Lash Mascara - This mascara was awesome because it curled and coated my lashes at the same time!

MAC Lipglass in C-Thru - I won't lie, I had this lipgloss for a very long time. I bought it originally because I read in a magazine that Britney Spears uses this on her lips so I had to go out and buy it too! I found that I couldn't wear this colour alone and had to wear it with a lip liner and/or a lipstick.

Hard Candy Brows Now! Brow Fiber Gel + Highlighter - I liked this product, I just found that the fiber gel dried out quicker than I wanted it to.

Don't panic! You will still be getting an empties blog post like usual at the end of this month!

Thanks it for now! Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

BACK TO MAC

Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know (if you didn't already,) that MAC has a great recycling program. If you bring in 6 items in their primary packaging to a MAC counter, store or you can even return them online if you are located in Canada or The USA, they will reward you with either a lipstick, lipgloss or an eyeshadow of you choice. If you go to a MAC counter such as at Macy's or The Bay, you can get a lipstick. If you go to one of their free standing store, you can either get: a lipstick, a lipgloss or an eyeshadow.

What You Can and Can't Back To Mac:
The eyeshadow you get aka your freebie, cannot be the single pan, it has to be in it's black packaging.
The lipstick cannot be a Viva Glam lipstick because proceeds from the sales of those items go straight to charity. You cannot Back To Mac lip liners or eye pencils because they are made up of wood. It is to my understanding that the items MAC receives back from its consumers, the empties are melted down somewhere. You can bring in makeup wipes because the top is plastic and it's primary packaging.

Also, I have a holiday collection by MAC called The Nicely Nude Lip Gloss Set, which includes four lip glosses, and I have to finish all of them or BACK TO MAC them all at once for them to count as 1 unit out of 6 that I am returning. You can return Limited Edition products that qualify for BACK TO MAC but you can't redeem for a LE item. Even if there is still some product left inside, you can still BACK TO MAC your products as long as it fits the criteria.

Make sure to look for this symbol which can help you out in debating if you can or can't bring it back!

If you are NOT sure what you can or cannot bring in, check on the web site as it will tell specifics. (It is MAC Canada so if you live in The USA or anywhere else, make sure to change your country/preferences on the web site.) Also, a rule of thumb when returning items is to make sure they are made up of: plastic, glass or metal because MAC will recycle those things on your behalf and those are things that shouldn't be simply thrown in the trash. Sometimes the employees will put an X through the label to let you and other employees know that this is the freebie you received and you can't Back To Mac that particular item - That has never happened to me though!

I plan on going to my local MAC store in the next few days so I will be sure to keep you posted on what I pick out! I've done it once before in the past and managed to pick out an eyeshadow from a freestanding store! I believe the limit per person per day is 24 items that they can bring back which equals 4 free items.

Update: I went to MAC today and for anyone wondering if the metal pan has to be inside the black plastic container, I've never had a issue with redeeming my freebie with depotted shadows and blushes. As you can tell from the above photo, ONLY ONE of the black containers had a metal pan inside of it. They usually just check to see if you have 6 empty containers that  fit the criteria of being able to BACK TO MAC them.

I was looking at the different lipsticks and decided last minute to get a new one that I had never heard of. It swatched beautifully and it was a darker nude. It is a matte finish lipstick called Mehr.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

October Empties & Project 10 Pan | 2015

Hey everyone! In today's blog post, you can check out my trash aka see all the products that I've finished up this month! Also, I am happy to announce that I will be starting Project 10 Pan! It is my first time trying it out and I will not be showing all the products that I want to finish before hand because I feel like that will be a recipe for disaster. I know it works and motivates other people but for me, I am doubtful! I also want to mention that I want to really challenge myself and keep it separate from my empties. Therefore, any items you see in my next month's blog post for empties will not duplicate onto my Project 10 Pan.

With getting that out of the way, let's check out which products I loved and didn't care for!

Hair
Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil  - This is a repurchase of mine and you can notice that it is in the old packaging. That's because I used this sparingly and finally finished it up. I would repurchase for the third time but I am currently trying out a new hair oil.

Selsun Selenium Sulfide Lotion Extra Strength 2.5%  - I have Tinea Versicolor on my back and use this product to help treat it at home. I like the extra strength formula better than the other formula that contains botanicals. This bottle is smaller but it works quicker and you need less of it in my opinion. Also, I included it in the hair category because my scalp is problematic (as in it is oily yet dry at the same time but not itchy,) and it helped me with that issue. It is very inexpensive and I buy mine at Wal-Mart for between $10-$13 CAD.

Mouth
Dentek Triple Clean Floss Picks - I know this is a bit of an odd category but if it can help someone out then I'm all for it! I love these flossers and they do not break when I am using them! They are my favourite ones to use at the moment!

Colgate Enamel Health Whitening Toothpaste in Clean Mint - This was a very basic and standard toothpaste. It didn't do anything out of the ordinary and I would only repurchase it if it was on sale. It wasn't memorable and didn't stand out in my opinion.

Face
Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips For The Face (8 Count) - These are a repurchase and I really enjoy using them for my white heads! I use the face strips on my nose and find that they work just as well!

Mario Badescu Drying Cream - Oddly enough, I purchased a full sized version of this product and when it was almost gone, I received a sample of the exact same product in the mail. It took me a while to use it up but it's gone now and will be interested in purchasing a full sized version again of this! It is only sold in a few stores in my province so I will have to check online before I go to scout this product out in-store. This product not just helped dry out my pimples, it also got under my skin to eliminate any bumps that formed due to oil build-up!

Fresh Rose Face Mask - I love just about anything rose scented and this left my skin feeling soft and for lack of a better word, FRESH! I would consider trying out a larger version of this. I am awful with remembering to use face masks so that's why I didn't say full sized version and only said larger version. Not sure if that exists though - I would have to look into it some more.

The Body Shop Oils Of Life - I actually got several of these samples both deluxe as well as single use samples. I have one more that I need to use up but overall, I did enjoy this formula. It is very lightweight, not sticky and doesn't transfer onto my bed sheets because I use this at night. The smell is light and pleasant.

Body
Bath & Body Works Body Lotion in Dark Kiss - If I was forced to choose a favourite scent from BBW (which is very hard to do because there are so many,) I would probably choose this one. It doubles as a perfume and I have been complimented on this scent numerous times. I had one women tell me that this scent reminds her of Thierry Mugler's Angel. This has been discontinued but I seen it in my local BBW about 2 weeks ago as they have brought it back into the stores for a short time and were selling it part of the 3 for $15 deal. If you are interested, I suggested that you check it out!

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel - This travel sized bottle lasted me quite some time and I enjoyed using it. The scent is just alright and I wouldn't commit to the full sized verison.

The Body Shop Coconut Shower Cream - I felt as though I used up this product a lot faster than the regular shower gel. It didn't moisture my skin a whole lot but just slightly. I still used a cream/lotion after I finished showering in conjunction with using this product.

Hands
Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Boardwalk Vanilla Cone - I have used up several of these in the past you you already know that I have many other back-ups in my bathroom cupboards!

Vitamins
Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies (80 Count) - I can't tell you how many people that I have recommended this product to that have actually bought it and seen great results! This is very inexpensive as I buy my bottle at Wal-Mart for $7.97. I have many back-ups in my stash and I will continue to purchase these dummies for as long as they still carry them in-stores!

Diem Vitamin B12 - 1000 mcg (100 Tablets) - I had these laying around in the house because my dad was no longer taking them so I decided to take them because I heard that it boosts energy. I didn't see any difference and wouldn't take them again. You take one tablet a day, put it under my tongue until it dissolves. I found that it is hard on my stomach and I need to take food with this vitamin. I also swished some water in my mouth when the tablet was under my tongue to help it dissolve faster.

Berlin's Fish Oil with Vitamin D (EPA/DHA 720 mg per serving) - I tried two of these samples and loved them! It is very easy to take, I took mine straight on a spoon but you can also mix it into different recipes. It has no fishy taste and the Mango Peach flavour is delicious! There is no sugar as it is naturally sweetened with xylitol, it is ultra purified, there are no artificial colours or flavours, it is gluten free and NON-GMO!

Candles
Bath & Body Works White Barn Scented Candle in Cherry Blossom Sangria - I really loved this scent! Is is a perfect Spring scent that it not too strong or overpowering yet puts you in a great mood while it's burning! At least, this candle put a smile on my face every time I smelled it when I re-entered the room! I would purchase a three wick candle of this particular scent in the Spring time! I also already depotted it to use it for another purpose. The mini-mason jar idea is genius and it does get hotter than the other containers when it burns so be careful!

Bath & Body Works White Barn Scented Candle in Lavender Vanilla - This was more of a calming scent (more vanilla than lavender,) in my opinion and it would be great to help re-create that spa like environment/smell inside your very own house! They have quite a long burn time for such a small candle which I was very happy about! It says on the bottom that it burns for about 10 hours which I would have to agree with!

Thanks for stopping by my lovely readers!

Until next time,

Romwe Haul #2 & Opinions

Hey everyone! I decided to place another order with Romwe and now, I have more developed thoughts as well as better opinions formed now.

Let me start off by saying that I thought that this order was well worth the money that I had paid! The only two disappointing things were that there were many loose threads coming out of the articles of clothing and that I had to pay a brokerage fee yet again.

With that out of the way, these pieces are nicely constructed, they don't feel too cheap and I have worn a few pieces already so it is safe to say that they are comfortable! Specifically the plaid shirt pictured down below to the left of the photo. I actually purchased mine in a size medium because the small was sold out and I like the oversized version better than something more fitted per se!

Last blog post I forgot to mention that on Romwe, you are able to pre-order items that can be sold to you at a much lower price if you are one of the first ones to go ahead and buy it. There are different prices whether you are between the 1st-20th order opposed to being between the 21st-100th person to order that particular item.

It should be noted that both white tops (the white button-up is not included in what I'm speaking about here,) have large slits on both sides of the shirt going up. It is hard to see in the photos but I am excited to start styling these two basic tops into something that fits within my style!

Also, the green long sleeveless vest is a great piece that even includes a belt however, the only thing that REALLY bothers me is that the pocket are sewn shut. That is a major pet peeve of mine especially when they do that with jeans!

The button-up white shirt does look slightly different from what I had imagined it to look like in person but I will just have to work with it. I am excited to wear the black top with the lace detailing at the back! I bought it so that it could go with a specific look I had in mind!

That's all for now!

Thanks for stopping by!

My Experience From Ordering Online With Romwe

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience based on the first online order that I had placed on Romwe. I had been on the web site maybe a year or two earlier several times but I never ended up making a purchase. However, I seen advertising on the side bar when I was randomly browsing the Internet one day which immediately triggered my memory. I wasted no time and clicked the banner and began browsing the site.

As you look around and compare different items, you will notice one thing in common: they are being sold at a very low price! There are always promotions running which offer an additional discount on the web site. There are some reviews that I have read online with customers who really dislike this company and I would have to tell you not to believe everything that you read. I can't speak to their customer service because I didn't have any issues with my order and didn't have to contact anyone about my parcel or the contents inside it. I did order fall and winter pieces as well as summer items because I am going away next month.

If you are wondering if this is too good to be true? I must tell you to keep in mind that these items are made in China and some items are great quality and others are well, not so fantastic. As you will be able to tell by the photos, some items ARE NOT LINED and are basically see-through. You would not know this on the web site because the item description does not disclose this. Another point is that their sizing is quite strange so you need to pay attention to it. I wanted to order a pair of jeans but the measurements started at a 22" inch waist give or take half an inch to an inch. I didn't want to order a pair of jeans and be stuck with them.

My parcel arrived with all the items in the correct sizes but I did have to pay a brokerage fee. I was honestly confused because I have had to pay duties on parcels before but never a brokerage fee. One thing that I do not understand is that the representative who was taking my payment for the brokerage fee, he told me that the parcel was coming from the USA but on the parcel, it stated that it came from Singapore.

I live in Canada so honestly, we never get a break! I have cut down my online shopping quite significantly over the years. I made this order from Romwe an exception because the prices were in CAD dollars so I didn't have to worry about the conversion fee.

Also, I placed quite a large order because the site features so many great items and I wanted to make it worth my while. I ended up getting free express shipping which still took almost two weeks to get to my house. I would suggest not paying any money out of your pocket to get it shipped out quicker to your residence.

When I opened up my package, I noticed that there are no tags hanging on the items. Some people may not like this but I am indifferent about it. Cutting off the tag is one less thing for me to do anyway. It tells you what size each garment is anyway on the inside tag sewn into the garment.

Overall, there was only really one piece that I was disappointed with because it looked TOTALLY different from the photo in the web site. (The sheer orange long sleeve top with the cut-out at the back shown above.) Some photos are taken from Sabo Skirt and ASOS so be warned! I have placed another order with Romwe and will see how long that one takes to get to me because I didn't qualify for express shipping this time. I needed to add 0.23 cents more to my order to qualify for the express shipping but I couldn't make up my mind on what item I should add to my cart therefore I left it as is.

Warehouse Sale/Outlet Shopping Collective Haul

Hey everyone! Today I will be showing you all the different items that I picked up over the last few days. There are many warehouse sales/promotions going on and it's an exciting time of the year for many of us!

Before I start off with my actual haul, I just want to mention that I did attend the BCBG featuring Lole Warehouse Sale. I want to say that it was VERY disappointing. The dresses I found to be tacky, the dress pants were still too expensive because I factored the price of hemming onto the $40 they were being sold for because they are far too long to wear as is and I left without buying anything.

There is a limit of 10 items per person that you can take into the fitting room and you can't bring a stroller inside the change rooms. Also, as I was walking up to the entrance, I noticed that there were garbage bins and poles as well as chains to help formulate a line I suppose. Other warehouse sales that I have attended at this venue, there have been coffee cups as thrown on the grass and pavement which looked quite disgusting to be honest.

Next I went to Orfus Road. I have been going here for years and there was a time where it wasn't too great and there weren't that great of a selection as far as stores are concerned. However, I feel as though it has gotten a lot better and they even put a Burger Priest at the corner of Dufferin and Orfus Road where the Demetres used to be. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Orfus Road, it is off Dufferin just minutes away from Yorkdale Mall in North York and not too far from the 401. There are many outlet stores on this road and people come here to shop. It gets very busy on the weekends so be forewarned!

The top above that I purchased is from a store called Ya Ya & Co. They have a few locations that come to mind: Orfus Road, Toronto Premium Outlets and Niagara Outlets. They have beautiful pieces and also offer shoes as well as accessories. There is a fitting room in this store and you are able to try on the items before you purchase them. I am saying this because not all stores on Orfus Road offer change rooms. You just pick what you want to buy and hopefully it fits. There are security guards in some of the stores and you can't try on items over your existing clothes inside the store either. I digress, anyway, the sales associates are very helpful and I will be returning here soon! The top that I purchased retails for $60 was being sold for $49.95 and I ended up purchasing it for only $15 saving a grand total of $45.

My next stop was Ardene. I come specifically to the Orfus Road location to purchase my nose rings in bulk. However, I couldn't even find one pack and the other piercings they had on sale were not ones I would buy. I need to find a new place unfortunately. It wasn't a wasted trip because I ended up buying 5 pairs of sunglasses for $10 which work out to be $2 each. Normally, each pair of shades retails for $8.50 and I ended up saving $32.50 in total. The four sunglasses to left remind me of similar styles that Quay Australia offers on their web site. I know that I do not need any sunglasses but these I couldn't pass up!

I had been wanting a nice Roots hoodie for as long as I could remember. I decided to take a look inside the store to try my luck. Honestly, when you enter the store, there are nice looking pieces at the front of the store which are the new arrivals. To find the good deals, you need to walk to the back of the store. If you are in a rush, I DO NOT recommend coming here unless you know EXACTLY what you want because if you quickly browse, a lot of the items will look the same to you. Also, there are fitting rooms which is a huge plus.

I ended up coming here on Thursday and Friday because I was in the area both days. On the Thursday, that is when I scored the gorgeous hoodie which is exactly my style: classic yet edgy at the same time. It was regularly $78, marked down on sale to $44.99 and I received an extra 25% off the sale sticker so it ended up costing me $33.75. Just alone on the sale price, I saved $11.25 and from the original price, I saved $44.25.

I came back again on Friday and right away, I noticed that they had changed their sale to save an extra 40% off selected sale items. I was glad that I had waited to buy the matching sweats! I have no idea how much the sweats retail for originally because that price has been cut off the tag but the sweatpants were marked down to $34.98 and I saved an extra 40% off. I ended up getting the pants for $20.99 and I saved $13.99 on the sale alone! If you think of it this way, for the hoodie and the pair of sweatpants, I paid less for both items than if I were to purchase the hoodie at regular retail value.

Lastly, I was invited to the L'Oreal Sale in North York around York University. You need an invitation to go and they used to send a paper invitation but now it is an email with a barcode that they scan. They scan it for you to three times: to enter the sale, at the cash register when you make a purchase and also before you leave the sale. There were some great deals and there were items that I can't find in stores anymore that I ended up finding here such as: The L'Oreal Oleotherapy Hair Mask, Shampoo and Conditioner.

I really didn't need any more nail polish but I must say that the Essie nail polish display was very tempting but I did refrain from purchasing anything on there! The only purchase that I made was the Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) mascara set which includes: a mini of the YSL CC Creme Colour Corrector in Apricot with an SPC of 35, The Top Secrets Pro Removers Eye Makeup Remover Bi-Phase + and a full size of The Baby Doll Mascara which is supposed to give a false lash effect to your lashes.

I know that it is hard to read above because there was a sticker on top of the price and someone had peeled it off. What is says is that the retail price of the set is $36 and the total value of the set is $56. I ended up picking up the set for $21.75 and saving $34.25. I looked on Sephora and the mascara is full sized that I received, which retails for $36 on their web site. What I really wanted to purchase was the YSL Touche Eclat in number 2 but little did I know, you had to purchase the entire set to get this specific product - you could not purchase it individually.

Parking does get crazy and there are employees that help you find a parking spot. If that is full, there is an overflow parking area. It is free to park which is a plus. It is a bit tricky to get to so I recommend planning it out in advance or using a GPS to get here. I would suggest going on a week day opposed to a week end if you are able to. I remember coming here years ago and having a stand in line to get in. This is probably one of my favourite warehouse sales to attend and I would recommend it if you can get an invite. I must also mention on the invite that you are limited to two visits and you can bring one friend. However, the both of you combined can only purchase up to a certain amount and are limited to certain quantities of various products. I will say that it is very well organized and I don't mind traveling to come here.

Overall, it was a successful few days of shopping for the most part and I finally have a Roots hoodie which I am excited to start wearing!

As always, thanks so much for reading my blog post and more posts will be coming your way soon!

Until next time,
