September Empties | 2015

Hey everyone! Today I will be sharing with you all the items that I have used up this month! I must warn you that there are quite a few products that I did NOT enjoy and there are many samples that I went through.

Makeup
ELF Makeup Mist & Set - This is a holy grail product and there is no surprise that I have used up yet another one of these sprays.

Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate - This little jar did in fact last me a long time but it wasn't my favourite. I say this because I used it before I went to bed each night and the colour transferred onto my pillow case as well as my bed sheets. As far as hydration goes, it did do a decent job at moisturizing my lips however, I would not repurchase this particular colour but I would eventually be open to trying out another shade.

Face
Kandoo Flushable Wipes (50 count) - I have mentioned before how much I disliked these wipes. This (fortunately,) is my last pack that was in my stash. I do not like these as I usually need to use more than one to take off my makeup because of the small size of each wipe. They tear easily and dry out easily in this packaging.

Body
Body Luxuries Natural Loofah - I received this in a gift bag and I really wanted to like this product because it is very different than my usual loofah that I use every day, but I just couldn't. It is very hard even when you moisten it with a lot of water and it doesn't lather my shower gel very well. I don't feel like it is helping to cleanse my skin or even exfoliate my skin for that matter.

Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel in Passionista Fruit - This was a very basic and standard shave gel. The scent was okay but I always try out new scents and this wasn't anything that went above my expectations.

Bath & Body Works Body Lotion in Sexy Dahlia Rush (Discontinued) - I really enjoyed this scent and did not get sick of it as I went through the entire bottle. I have a matching fragrance spray that is in my rotation that you will hopefully see in an empties blog post in the near future!

Hands
Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Boardwalk Vanilla Cone - Love this scent and I still have many back-ups of it!

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Boardwalk Vanilla Cone - You will be seeing more empties of this particular scent in the upcoming months!

Samples
Clinique Liquid Facial Soap - I did enjoy trying out this cleanser. It is very gentle on the skin, does not irritate the skin, is not drying and your skin feels clean after using it.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion - This toner was pretty standard. It didn't do anything outstanding but performed as it should. It did have a strong smell to it but that did not deter me from trying out this product. The sample size contains the toner on a small wipe which I found to be a great idea.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + and Gel - In the past, I had purchased the lotion and did not enjoy it at all. It was too runny, greasy, smelled odd and the yellow colour just turned me off. The gel unfortunately did not change my mind and did not get me to like this particular product any more.

LA Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover Wipes - A long time ago I contemplated ordering these online but I never went through with it. Now after using these wipes, I deeply regret it! These wipes are everything! They are large in size, are very moist, take off your makeup off using only one wipe, they do not break and great for travel! After I use up my current makeup wipes, I will be purchasing these!

Amore Pacific Luminous Effect Brightening Serum - I applied this to my face at night after I had cleansed it and I really enjoyed it. It is on the more high-end side and just using it once is not enough to tell how well it brightened my face but I'm glad I had the chance to try it out!

Shiseido Ibuki Refining Moisturizer - I enjoyed using this as my skin felt very smooth and soft after using it. It is not greasy and did not break me out.

Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Cream - I used this before I went to bed because it is slightly thicker and really moisturizes your skin. The smell is very nice and I looked forward to using this product each night!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer - I used this sample on a day where I had two different events to go to in the same day just hours apart and my makeup never looked better! I barely had to touch up throughout the day and the formula was very luxurious but not greasy. My only wish is that it wasn't so expensive but other than that, this is truly a great product!

Ralph Lauren Romance - I used up my sample but this wasn't my kind of fragrance. It was nice to try something out of my comfort zone but I will not be purchasing it in the near future. Like the name suggests, it is a romantic, sexy, flirty fragrance that is not overly fruity smelling.

Kiehl's Crème de Corps - I really did not like this product. The smell is uninviting, the packaging is terrible as there is extra product inside that I cannot get out and it felt greasy on my skin.

STAY CLASSY.

Estee Lauder Warehouse Sale 2015

Hey everyone! On Saturday, September 12th, I went to the Estee Lauder Sale at The Markham Fairgrounds. It was decent overall, but there were so many people! Parking wasn't a problem (it's free,) but I would suggest not wearing heels because it is not a paved parking lot and your heels may sink into the ground while trying to get across to the other side.

You need to have an invitation to be able to get inside the sale and you need to write your name on the invitation. There is also a seal on the invitation and if it falls off for whatever reason, the invitation is no longer valid. At the end of the event, you give your invitation to an employee before exiting and the gift on Saturday when I went was an orange nail polish by MAC in Riot Gear. My friend went earlier in the day than I did and received a mascara by Estee Lauder.

There are different sections inside the building and lots of testers available to swatch different products. If you like a particular colour and want to purchase it, each tester is paired with a number. All you need to do is write that number on a piece of paper and show it to a representative who gets you that product.

What I Ended Up Purchasing:
Smashbox It's A Wrap! Waterproof Makeup Remover - $8
Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Shadow in Quartz - $12
Estee Lauder Rollerball in Pleasures - $18
Bobbi Brown Beauty - The Ultimate Beauty Resource - $5 (Originally $42.50 CAD)
Bobbi Brown Beauty Evolution - A Guide To A Lifetime Of Beauty - $5 (Originally $44.95 CAD)

The three MAC items at the bottom were for people who made a donation. It was after you purchased your items in the far left corner of the room and I asked if all the gifts were the same and the girl told me that they were. It was a $5 donation that got you three MAC items. The maximum you can get is 4 bags which equals $20. I got: a MAC 130 SE Brush, a MAC Matte Lipstick in Silly and a MAC Veluxe PearlFusion Shadow.

Overall, it was a decent sale but the one that I went to last time was a lot better. That's all for now and I hope that you're enjoying your day!

STAY CLASSY.

Thanks for stopping by!

Adidas/Reebok Warehouse Sale 2015 - My Finds

Hey everyone! Today, I went to the Adidas/Reebok Sale that was held at The International Centre. Today was the first day of the sale and it is going on for 3 days ending on Sunday, September 13th.

Purchased:
- 3 pairs of shoes $35/a piece
- 1 pair of black & white striped Adidas track pants $25
- 1 crew neck pullover sweater $30
- 1 blue and white striped long sweater (they called it a dress) $20

The shoes were by far my best purchase. I bought 1 pair of Reebok shoes (the black high tops,) for work and the other two pairs were extremely comfortable that I couldn't resist! Two pairs of the Pump shoes worked out to be $70 which is half of the cost of what one pair goes for at original retail value! I was pleasantly surprised and I ended up spending much more money that I anticipated. This is the best warehouse sale that I have attended in quite some time! However, I noticed that a lot of the smaller sizes were quick to be purchased by shoppers and unless they are getting another shipment in, there may be slim pickings as far as sizes are concerned if you decide to visit the sale over the weekend.

Advice: If you do decide to attend the sale, make sure that you have lots of patience because I waited in the checkout line for 1 hour as it did wrap around the perimeter of the warehouse.

STAY CLASSY.

Thanks for stopping by,
