ELF Blush Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I hope that you are all having a wonderful and most importantly, relaxing Sunday! I have had my ELF Blush Palette for a few months now and wanted to do a review on it.

Price
First off, the price point is very affordable as it retails for $6 and you get 4 blush colours. That works out to be $1.50 per shade and the pans are a generous size. There are two palettes to choose from: light and dark. I picked mine up in the shade Light because I am very fair right now. I would consider purchasing the darker version when I get more tanned or even for the fall time as there are some gorgeous colours inside to compliment a fall look!

Packaging
Let's start off with the packaging. It reminds me of the NARS packaging in the sense that if you have makeup on your hands and pick up the black packaging, it will get messy pretty quickly. Of course you could depot these blushes into a Z Palette and then problem solved! I probably won't do this because I love the large mirror that comes with this gorgeous palette!

Swatches
As far as swatches go, the lightest pink colour and the darkest orange/brown colour have the most pigmentation. I find that they glide onto the skin the smoothest and are the most creamy. All these colours are build able and you are receiving 3 matte blushes + 1 shimmer blush. If you are concerned that these shades will be too bright for daily wear, don't be! Just use a light hand and tap off the excess product before application! Depending on your skin tone, you could potentially use the darkest colour as a bronzer or for your contour even!

Suggestions
What is discouraging is that these colours in the palette are not sold separately. That means that if you run out of a particular shade, you can't buy a pan refill or a single colour, you have the buy the ENTIRE palette yet again. However on the plus side though, this palette will most likely last you a long time due to the size of each pan. But if you were to run out of a particular colour, I think it would be awesome if ELF made these pans so that you are able to switch out the colours and maybe include some bronzers and highlighters! They could even double the amount of pans inside the palette to include 8 shades total or if that is too much, have 6 shades to include: 2 shades for bronzer, 2 blushes and 2 highlights!

Overall
I think that this is a great palette and you can combine multiple shades together to get that perfect custom colour. I would definitely take this product with me when I go on my next vacation as I can do my entire makeup look using the mirror inside this palette! And for $1.50 per blush, you really can't go wrong there!

Thanks for stopping by!

STAY CLASSY.
