Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo Progressive Night Peel | Review

Hey everyone! I picked this up the Lancôme Visionnaire Crescendo Progressive Night Peel from the TSC Warehouse Sale | July 2018 for only $5! It was such a steal and I wanted to dedicate an entire review to this peel!  I waited on trying out this product for awhile because there are specific instructions on the back of the box and I was leaving the country for 15 days so I wanted to wait until I was back to really test it out the instructed way!

You are supposed to begin with Phase 1 that contains AHA from fruit acids and quinoa husk extract. After 2 week of use, you move onto Phase 2 that has a combination of salicylic acid and glycolic acid. The combination of both phases help to exfoliate the skin to help with cell renewal and will even the complexion of the skin as well as smoothen the surface of the skin.

It claims that you will be able to see noticeable results after 28 days of use.
It also says that there will be a tingling sensation but the more the skin gets used to it, that feeling will decrease. If you do have an allergic reaction to it or if irritation continues, then it would be a good idea to see a doctor. Also, the AHA may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and will greaten your chances of getting sunburnt. Make sure to wear sunscreen and limit your exposure to the sun while using this two phase product!

Phase 1: Use 3-4 pumps every night for 14 days.
Phase 2: Use 3-4 pumps every night for another 14 days.

Make sure to apply on clean skin and feel free to use a moisturizer afterwards. I applied 3 pumps as the consistency was very liquidy and there was no tingling sensation that I felt but I made sure to moisturize afterwards. My Mom felt a tingling sensation when she used it and applied her moisturizer right after. I also stopped using both of my cleansers which have exfoliating properties to them as this product targets skin renewal and I switched over to cream based cleansers. Also, if you have any cuts on your face then since this is an AHA, this product will sting so keep that in mind! My skin felt softer and it did not start peeling while using this product. I only forgot to use Phase 1 once and I skipped Phase 2 about twice so I just added an extra day on.

Phase 1
smells really good and my skin felt more tight (but not uncomfortable,) after having the product on for a few minutes.
Phase 2 is more tacky and is blue in colour. You could also feel the difference on your skin immediately from Phase 1.

This retails for $99 on the Sephora website (it used to retail for $94 but they raised the price,) and it can be used on all skin types except sensitive. My Mom had to stop using hers for that reason. Myself however, I enjoyed using the two part system as part of my skin care routine and I would definitely use it again in the future now that my Mom has given me hers!

I also featured this in my April Empties | 2020!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY
