Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stains (Old & New Versions)

Hey everyone! I wanted to include more beauty related posts on my blog, and that's exactly what I plan on doing today. Below you will see two different versions of the Revlon Just Bitten lip stains.

The dual-ended pink packaged lip stain was launched first and has a marker for precise application. The back end of the product is a balm which needs to be applied carefully and with care or else, it is quite soft which allows it to easily break off.

The purple/pink pencil is a gel formula and is not dual-ended because the product itself both moisturizes as well as stains your lips. It is retractable and no sharpener is required.

How it looks once applied:
Left: Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (single ended)
Right: Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm (dual-ended)

I purposely did not apply much makeup and no eye makeup for you to really see the true pigmentation of the two lip products. I also did use a tiny bit of a skin colour concealer to neutralize the original pigment of my lips to get a true colour of the lip stain as seen above. Both products have build-able colour and both photos shown are with several coats on the lips.

The Verdict:
I am all for using multi-purpose products or as few products as necessary to achieve my desired results. Let's face it, most days I am in a rush to get to my destination and I can't be bothered with doing extra steps in my makeup application. With that being said, why would I use a dual-ended product when I can use the single-ended product that does the exact same thing? It not only saves me on time, but if you look at the photos above, the felt tip liner looks more patchy and not as smooth on the lips. It is also more drying on the lips even with the balm. The new improved formula is very moisturizing and I did not find it to be drying at all.

I'm sure you already know which product I prefer, the single ended Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. It really does the job and can be a quick pop of colour when I'm in a rush. Or for a more natural look, I could apply a sheer layer of a lighter colour to coat my lips but not to overdo it.

Thanks for taking time out of your day to read my post.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.
