Project 10 Pan | Round 13

Hey everyone! I have put myself on a low-buy and have really been concentrated on using up some of my products in my collection! Here's what I managed to finish-up so far!
Becca First Light Priming Filter (15 ml) - This was just alright in my opinion and I honestly bought it because it was purple. It claims to prep and perfects the complexion. It goes on purple but it ends up being sheer on the skin. I have oily skin and it honestly wasn’t too ideal for my skin type. I wouldn’t purchase a larger version of this product but I don’t regret trying it.

Make Up Forever HD Powder (4 g) - Not a great product as there was so much flashback in photos and my under eye area looked so cakey. You could see all my fine lines around my eyes and I disliked the sifter. I ended up removing it completely as it was so hard to get product out of the container.

Morphe Continuous Setting Mist (2.8 oz) - I wanted to try this product out to see if it’s really worth the hype as many beauty influencers speak highly of this setting mist. I honestly really enjoyed using it and I bought the last of the bunch when I was in-store at Sephora. It sprays finely and it almost reminds me of a hairspray bottle. It has lasted me longer than I expected and I tend to always reach for it when I am applying my makeup. I would say that it is worth the hype but it tends to sell out fast in-store and online so get it while you can!

Colourpop No Filter Concealer in Fair #04 (0.176 oz) - I have heard this concealer being talked about for such a long time that I finally decided to purchase it to try-out. I have to say that I was very impressed and really enjoyed using it. The shade is great - not too pink or yellow of an undertone. I did go through it rather quickly because you only get a small amount of product inside the tube but it is very affordable after all. I would repurchase it and would say that it performs well on the skin without oxidizing.

Tarte Shape Tape Concealer in Light Neutral (10 ml) - I actually thought that it lived up to it’s hype and it covered my freckles well. You get a lot of product and even though it is more expensive, I thought that this was worth it. I lived the formula and this tube lasted me quite a long time. I began scraping the sides and mine is drying out so I am in need of a new one. Also, I would get a lighter shade as this one is a little bit too dark on me but the undertone works just fine. I did manage to remove the stopper from this concealer and there was a ton of product that was left behind! This is my first time trying this and I’d only consider removing the stopper for my more expensive items.

Baxter Hydro Salve Lip Balm (4 g) - I actually got this on the plane in the little travel pouch when I flew premium economy. I really like the lip balm and it is formulated with Shea butter as well as vitamin E. My lips felt soft after using it and I’m sad to be out of it. It is fragrance free and made in California.

Burt’s Bees Nourishing Mascara in Classic Black (11.5 g) - Upon first glance, I actually thought this mascara was going to be brown. I was wrong (luckily,) and overall thought this was a basic mascara. It is expensive for being sold at the drugstore as it retails at Wal Mart for $14 and it comes in only two colours. I found that it separated and lengthened my lashes well but it didn’t do too much when it comes to volume. It claims to be 100% natural but I wouldn’t purchase it myself and the wand is plastic. I did feature this in my Glamour Voxbox | Review & Unboxing

Benefit They’re Real (3 g) - I received a sample size in the mail and I have used this mascara in the past. I really like it for length and separating the lashes. Not so much for volume but it makes my lashes super dark which I love. The full size retails for $33 at Sephora and it’s probably one of the best mascaras out there.

Clinique High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara in #01 Black (4 ml) - I purchased this mini at the Estée Lauder Warehouse Sale for $4. I did think that it was hard to remove compared to other mascaras that I have used in the past and this isn’t even waterproof to my knowledge. It claims to be a mousse-like formula and I disagree with it. It also claims that it doesn’t flake which is definitely not true. It didn’t do much for my lashes and I wouldn’t recommend it as my lashes felt crunchy whenever I didn’t layer it with another mascara.

Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara (12 ml) - This mascara has been talked about for such a long time and it is only $5 so I wanted to try it out. The formula is on the drier side which I prefer and it is less of a wet formula. It more so lengthened my lashes and didn’t give them a ton of volume. It is a great affordable option and I like how black it is. I would repurchase this in the future.

 Until next time,

STAY CLASSY
