Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation Review

Hey everyone! I have searched high and low for this product in Canada with no luck! When I was in Buffalo, I looked in two stores and finally found it in the third. Third time is usually a charm right?  I'll be sharing my thoughts and I will be reviewing the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation in the shade Soft Ivory for you today.

Claims & Benefits
It claims to be a high-performing, breakthrough formula that has a light-adjusting complex to help with the white cast you often times see in photos. This formula has been tested under 7 light conditions with and without the use of flash. It also claims to have that your skin but better look to it and helps to give your skin a matte, light-diffusing complex, camera-ready look every time.

Price, Where To Buy & Shade Range
I seen this product in Wal-Mart and Target when I was in the USA. I found my correct shade at Rite-Aid and purchased mine for $6.19.  I bought the shade Soft Ivory and it matched me fairly well. You can also purchase it online on the Wet N Wild website for $5.99. It comes in 20 shades with a variety of different undertones and also caters to WOC.

The Applicator & The Formula
It is plastic and it is great to use for dotting the product all over your face. I was definitely a fan of it because I prefer using a pump generally speaking, but this is my second favourite way of dispensing the foundation from the bottle. This foundation does dry fairly quickly and you need to work rather fast with it. It is matte yet dewy and it helps create a flawless canvas on your face.

How It Performed & Is It Worth The Hype?
I remember seeing so many vloggers testing out this foundation on YouTube and were doing first impression videos on it. This is definitely a buildable foundation and it is medium to full coverage depending on how many layers you apply. I applied this foundation to one side of my face with a brush and the other side with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. The left side of my face that was blended out with a brush looked much more powdery on the face than when it was blended out with a sponge. The first layer gave me a light-medium coverage and I say that because I could still see my freckles peaking through.

The second layer was more of a medium coverage and the third layer was definitely more full coverage. I would highly advise that you use a sponge rather than a brush and I also noticed the side that I used the brush on, really emphasized my pores around my cheek area. It did not feel heavy on the skin and it did not oxidize. It looked better on my skin as time went on and it worked well on my oily skin.

Flash & No Flash Test
I feel that it did look great in photos and that it made my skin look flawless! The photo below is with no flash in natural lighting.

The photo down below is indoors with the flash on. I would definitely use this foundation on occasions where I know that I will be photographed or for when I want my face to look flawless!
