Testing 3 COVERGIRL Face & Eye Products

Hey everyone! I recently got my hands on 3 COVERGIRL products that I have never tried before and wanted to give you my thoughts on each one!

Lash Blast Volume Mascara in 800 Very Black (10 ml) -
I was definitely excited to try-out this mascara because my lashes are long but I am always on the hunt for great volumizing mascaras! It claims to give your lashes up to 10x the volume and the brush is designed to leave your lashes with a big, bold lash look. I do like the plastic applicator and even though it is fairly large, it coats all my lashes well! Some mascaras can be tricky for me to apply as I have small eyes, but this one wasn't nearly as messy as others that I have tried in the past. I also appreciated that the formula wasn't too wet which I heavily dislike in general, and my lashes didn't clump together. It separated my lashes well, gave me volume and this one is an overall winner folks! This is a non-waterproof formula and it held up well on my lashes throughout the day!

Outlast All-Day Matte Finishing Powder in 850 Medium to Deep (11 g) -
Let me just say that I am very dissapointed at the colour selection that COVERGIRL has to offer on this powder and there are only 3 shades. All of the shades are on the lighter side and I can wear the shade Medium to Deep right now which isn't acceptable. What about deeper skin tones? This is definitely powdery and smells like a cheap drugstore powder. It isn't anything special and it's just a standard, typical powder in my honest opinion that does what it is supposed to do. At the end of the day, my face looked cakey and I wasn't the biggest fan of how the powder wore on my skin throughout the day. This is supposed to be a matte finishing powder that is: oil free, lightweight, won't clog your pores, silky-smooth, helps control shine but I ended up looking greasy at the end of the day. Another thing that I didn't care for was the packaging as it felt very cheap and you want to be careful not to drop the compact because if you do, the plastic will break. The mirror is also pointless in my opinion because of how small it is and I will not be using it going forward. This is the old packaging.

Outlast All-Day Primer Makeup Wear Extender (30 ml) - It does have a scent to it that isn't too strong, but I am indifferent about it and the product is an opaque white. It is not too liquidy and not the consistency of a cream. It blends in well to the skin and it is not sticky. As you rub the product in, there is no white cast and it sinks into the skin seamlessly. My skin felt soft and smooth afterwards. It claims to be oil free, it helps your makeup look fresh all day and you only need a dime sized amount. It is not sticky nor tacky at all and did not feel greasy on my face. It also didn't ball up on my face. I do like the primer and I will continue to use it in the future. This is also the old packaging.

Review on 3 Drugstore Foundations

Hey everyone! I wanted to write a post on my thoughts and feelings on 3 different foundations from the drugstore. I absolutely love affordable products and wanted to let you know if each one is worth your hard earned coins or not!

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in 103 True Ivory ($9 ) - This is a product that I purchased on sale at Wal-Mart for $8 and although they didn't have the shade Light Ivory in-stock, I purchased True Ivory and it still works well for me. This is a mousse consistency and I love mixing it in with my Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation to get a flawless finish to my skin! I bought this because I have oily skin and anything that claims to help with the shine, I am automatically drawn to! This did in-fact help control my oils throughout the day to a certain extent. There are 7 shades and they also have a primer to go along with this foundation which I haven't tried out yet. If you are wondering, this is definitely a full coverage foundation, it is build able, I apply mine with a beauty blender and a little bit goes a long way!

COVERGIRL truBlend Liquid Makeup in l5 Creamy Natural ($10-$12) - I was actually sent this product to review and it is overall not a bad product. It is not one of my favourites however but I prefer it over the COVERGIRL 3-in-1 Foundation which I actually ended up returning because it didn't work out well for me. It also oxidized like crazy and I was looking like an Oompa Loompa during my shift. I digress, this foundation is a little bit too dark for me right now but I mix it in with another one to even my complexion out. They have an excellent shade range as they have 21 shades to choose from and for some, this can be a great every day foundation to wear to go to work or school.

Since I have oily skin, I can't use this foundation alone and that's why I need to mix it with another one. My face gets way too oily and looks super greasy when I wear this product alone even when using other oil-control products. I feel like this product would be best suited for people with dry skin because the oils on my face really break-up the product and it ends up looking terrible throughout the day on me. I like that it does come with a pump and I would say that this is a light to medium coverage foundation because you can sheer it out or build up the coverage to your liking.

COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Powder Foundation in 105-110 Fair ($8) - I was able to purchase mine at Wal-Mart on sale for $7 and I had a coupon for an additional $2 off which worked out well! I was in Rexall a few weeks ago and was originally going to purchase this compact, but I ended up putting it back on the rack (which I ended up regretting doing.) That's why when I seen this on Rollback, I didn't think twice about buying it! There are only 5 shades available though and I purchased this for days where I want a more full coverage look. I would go ahead and add this on top of my foundation to give me extra coverage to ensure that none of my freckles are peaking through. I haven't used a powder foundation in about 2-3 years and I honestly miss using one!

It can also be used to quickly give yourself some coverage in the morning or you can slip it into your purse to use to touch-up throughout the day! It does come with a small makeup sponge and keep in mind that this is a small compact, you are only getting 10.5g/.37 oz of product in the pan. It does come with a mirror that I probably won't even use and this is a light to medium coverage product perfect for oily skinned ladies! Be sure not to use too much or be heavy handed with this because your face can start to look cakey throughout the day! I really want to try-out the foundation from the same line so let me know if you have tried it out and what you thought about it in the comments down below!

I also have an entire dedicated review on the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation that you can check-out which is another great foundation from the drugstore!

12 Essential Makeup Must-Haves

Hey everyone! There is a lot of makeup currently on the market and I wanted to share with you 12 items that are needed in your makeup repertoire. Of course, you can always substitute certain items for others and you don't have to use the exact brands that are shown if you don't want to. I just want to show you the types of products that I find myself reaching for most often on a day-to-day basis.

Items Needed:
ELF Makeup Mist & Set
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair
COVERGIRL TruBlend Liquid Foundation in L5
MAC Studio CareBlend Pressed Powder in Light
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Medium/Deep
ColourPop Super Shock Cheek in Lunch Money
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Dark Brown
Maybelline Matte Lipstick in #665 in Lust For Blush
COVERGIRL So Lashy! Blast PRO Mascara in Extreme Black
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler
beauty blender pro Sponge
Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens

The ELF Makeup Mist & Set can double for a primer as well as a setting spray. The Maybelline lipstick can be used both on the lips as well as on the cheeks for a nice blush colour. You can use the bronzer in your crease and the ColourPop highlighter can be used on the lids to give the illusion of a shimmery eyeshadow. The blotting sheets from Boscia can be used to keep your oils in-check throughout the day and you can just add it into your purse or clutch.

BIG January Empties | 2017

Hey everyone! I have been noticing some people are doing a yearly empties but that won’t work out for me because I feature a variety of different products and my collection would get too large. Also, I wouldn't want you to wait an entire year for another empties blog post! Imagine that? I really do enjoy writing empties posts and I will continue doing them on a monthly basis!

Hair
Selsun Blue Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - I have been using this for years now and it helps my scalp when it is very dry in the winter time. I will continue to purchase this for years to come!

L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Fibralogy Conditioner - This is an innovative product for people who have hair that is lacking thickness. They use ‘Filloxane’ which “penetrates and diffuses in the hair fibre. The hair expands from within.” I felt that my hair did get a little bit thicker and that is a big step for me. I love the scent of this conditioner and it was under $5 CAD. I would definitely re-purchase it because it is a very affordable product that lives up to its claims!

Face
Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips For The Face (8 count) - These are my favourite kind of pore strips! They are targeted for the face, but I do use them on my nose and they work even better than the ‘nose strips’ because these are bigger therefore they remove more whiteheads as well as blackheads (if you have them!) These are very affordable and I purchase mine at Wal-Mart usually!

ELF Precision Sponge Trio (The Largest Sponge) - I thought that this was a great makeup sponge that was comparable to the the beauty blender! I hauled this in my Haul Video that I did a few months ago and I also included it in my October Favourites video. I think that this is a great sponge, my only complaint is that it is white and it gets stained therefore you are able to see all of the stains. It is bouncy on the skin and it lasted me 4 months.

Peter Thomas Roth Ultra-Lite Oil-Free Moisturizer (15 ml or 0.5 fl oz) - This is described as a moisturizing gel-lotion with hyaluronic acid azulene, aloe vera and anti-oxidant vitamins A & E. This was included in The Hall of Fame Kit by Peter Thomas Roth that is available on the Sephora web site. You are receiving a $120 CAD value for only $44 CAD. I did enjoy using this moisturizer in the morning before my makeup application but I wish that it had an SPF! I liked the consistency and it absorbed quickly into my skin without leaving a sticky feeling. I have extremely oily skin and this didn't feel oily on my skin at all which is a huge plus for me!

Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Eye (7.4 ml/0.25 fl oz) - This actually came in the Hall of Fame Kit that I purchased on the Sephora web site. I believe that I got a bad batch of this specific item because when I put the eye cream on top of my moisturizer at night and sprayed my face with my ELF Makeup Mist & Set, I had white residue all underneath my under eye area. Don’t get me wrong, I do like other Peter Thomas Roth products and I have purchased two of his kits, but this one was a let down in my books. I couldn't finish the entire tube because it completely dried out my under eye area and left me with dry flaky skin.

Tarte Rainforest of The Sea - Drink of H20 Hydrating Boost Moisturizer (10 ml) - This is a gel moisturizer with a light scent that doesn't feel greasy on the skin and absorbs quickly. On the Sephora web site, it says, “Treat skin to this skin-quenching water gel. Powered by hyaluronic acid and tarte’s exclusive Rainforest of the Sea™ antioxidant complex, this cooling gel moisturizer helps restore skin’s natural hydration for skin that’s fortified, refreshed, and healthier-looking.” I enjoyed using this before I applied my makeup and a full jar of this (1.70 oz) retails for $47 CAD.

Body
Adidas for Women Cotton Tech+ Absorbent-Deo in Pure Powder (45 g or 1.6 oz) - This deodorant lasted me quite some time. I used a different formula in the past which I preferred as well as the scent, but that to my knowledge has been discontinued as I no longer can find it in-store. This claims to be able to absorb wetness but I no longer sweat underneath my armpits therefore I cannot speak to that. There is 0% alcohol and it is dermatologist-tested. I wouldn't repurchase this and it wasn't my favourite to be honest with you.

Vitamins/Supplements
Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies with Biotin (80 count) - I have been using these for quite some time now and I absolutely love them! Every time I run out of a bottle, I immediately go-to the store to buy another bottle. I have an entire blog post dedicated to these wonderful strawberry flavoured gummies and you should definitely take the 30-Day Challenge!

Bath & Body Works - Candles
Bath & Body Works Scented Candle in Flannel - I actually featured this in my Haul Video and I purchased this when they were having their annual candle sale. I picked up 2 candles for $10.50 CAD each and it was a one-day sale. This is a more musky and masculine smell which I adore! I absolutely love the frosted candle holder and the label on the front is Christmas themed. I have already depotted the jar to use it to store something else in!

Bath & Body Works Home Scented Candle in Roasted Chestnut & Cherries - This candle was part of a prize that I won at a baby shower. This isn’t a scent that I would have picked out on my own but I actually really enjoyed it! It isn’t as strong as Flannel and the cherry scent isn’t overpowering at all. This candle also burned quick than Flannel for some odd reason. Not sure why but I just thought that I would mention it here. The jar is glass and has weight to it as it is on the more heavy side. It doesn’t come with a top which I wish that it did for when I depot the leftover wax and store things inside but I will make it work!

Bath & Body Works Scented Candle in Marshmallow Fireside - I really enjoyed burning this scent in my room! It made the room feel more cozy and the scent wasn’t overpowering at all. I would definitely repurchase this scent in the future and it reminds me of the candle ‘Fireside’ from the White Barn collection. There wasn’t too much marshmallow or any marshmallow for that matter, which I could actually smell when the candle was burning.

Soaps
Bath & Body Works Nourishing Hand Soap in Pumpkin Cupcake - I never realized before, but this specific kind of hand soap has only 236 ml and the gentle foaming hand soap has 259 ml. Needless to say, the foaming hand soap always lasts me longer. Anyway, this formula has pumpkin butter in it and when I was washing my hands, I noticed that they were more nourished as well as more hydrated - less dry than usual.

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Warm Vanilla Sugar (259 ml) - This is a classic scent and I love the new label on the packaging which is perfect for the holidays as well as the winter time. It is described as, ‘rich, creamy vanilla sprinkled with sparkling sugar.’ I have purchased this scent in different forms in the past and I will continue to purchase it in the future!

Fragrance
Bath & Body Works Fine Fragrance Mist in Sexy Dahlia Rush (The Sweethearts - 236 ml/8 fl oz) - I just want to put it out there for some who don’t know, but fragrances just like makeup products do indeed have an expiration date. Even though there is still product inside the bottle, the scent has changed and I have had this for a while now therefore, it is time for this fragrance to go. It is discontinued unfortunately, but I loved this scent and I also went through the lotion in the same scent at one point.

Bath & Body Works Fragrance Mist in Country Chic (236 ml/f fl oz) - I have had this scent for too long and I distinctly remember when it first came out! I have used more than half of this bottle and it is just time to let it go. I do not like it nearly as much as I did in the past and I remember thinking that I wouldn't like this scent at all but I actually learned to love it! The name is rather strange in my opinion and it is a light, refreshing smell.

Bath & Body Works Into The Wild Passion Primitive Fragrance (75 ml/2.5 fl oz) - This is also a discontinued fragrance that launched in Spring of 2011. I feel like a lot of people didn’t even know about this scent and that it was a hidden gem! I remember purchasing this at one of their semi-annual sales and I found it one of the bins. Once I pulled it out, another lady asked me where I had found it because she wanted to purchase this as well because the packaging was so beautiful! My bottle is very beaten up because I usually would toss this in my purse and use it to refresh myself throughout the day.

Miscellaneous/Other
Emergen-C Vitamin and Mineral Supplement in Acai Berry (30 Packets) - I swear by Emergen-C and have mentioned it on numerous occasions. When everyone at work was getting sick, I poured one packet into my water and drank it each day. Guess what? I never got sick while everyone else was getting sick or was already sick! This really boosts your immune system and there is 1,000 mg of Vitamin C in each sachet. It is a great source of electrolytes, antioxidants, key nutrients and vitamins! I prefer the Orange flavour over the Acai Berry but it all comes down to personal preference.

Samples/Promo - Makeup/Pore Minimizers
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer - I have used this in the past and this formula glides right onto my face. It is very silky and smooth! I really enjoyed using it and it kept my makeup in-place throughout the day! I was very impressed with this primer. If you want to invest in a good primer, this is the one to purchase! My friend owns the full-sized version and absolutely loves it!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser - This claims that it is suitable for blemished skin and that it will help your pores look smaller. It also ‘smoothes, primes and instantly mattifies.’ I have large pores around my nose and cheek area which intrigued me to add this free sample to my cart when checking out online. It is a Best Seller on The Body Shop web site and retails originally for $20 CAD for 30 ml or 1.0 fl oz of product. The formula is yellow, it glides onto the skin nicely, it absorbs quickly and the initial scent reminds me of a drink that I had in Cuba before. I didn’t notice that my pores got any smaller but I do like how it felt on my skin.

COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation Sampler - This was another item included in the Walgreens goodie bag and again, you get 6 different shades to try-out. There are 12 shades in total and I absolutely love the concept of this! I discovered that I am currently best suited for the shade Creamy Natural.

Cleansers
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - This was a 100 point perk that I redeemed on the Sephora web site. I much preferred this product over the ELF Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser. I felt that the Clinique Cleanser really did a great job at removing my full face of makeup at night. It did not leave a film on my face like other reviews stated. I felt that a little bit of this product went a long way and I really enjoyed trying it out!

Moisturizers/Serums
Amore Pacific Future Response Age Defense Serum (0.1 fl oz or 3ml) - I actually received a deluxe sample of this from the Sephora web site upon entering a promotional code. I did enjoy using it and it is described as ‘a concentrated blend of green tea and pine mushrooms to protect skin from environmental and lifestyle aggressors that cause visible signs of premature skin aging.’ If you are sensitive to smells, I don’t recommend this product to you but I honestly didn't mind the smell. This is a very moisturizing and hydrating product that I was using in the evening as part of my PM skin care routine. To purchase the full size which is 1.01 oz, it will run you $176 CAD. This is a Korean skin care company and if you don't want to shell out that kind of money, I recommend that you check out La Neige which is also a Korean company owned by Amore Pacific. It is more affordable and I have used products by them before and they have been excellent!

Hands
Gold Bond Ultimate Moisturizing Aloe (28 ml) - This hand cream has 7 intensive moisturizers that help hydrate and nourish the skin. There is Vitamin A, C and E found in the formula. They use HYDRALAST technology for 24 hour moisturization throughout the day and it is both Dermatologist tested as well as hypoallergenic. It says on the tube that it is gentle enough to use on your face and I would for sure use it on my face without hesitation! It also stopped my skin from a constant itch that I had on my leg when I applied some on! I originally thought that Gold Bond was a product targeted towards more mature people but I was definitely wrong! I am glad that I was able to try this because this is such a good hand cream! I have psoriasis on my hands and this does not irritate it at all. It gives my hands the moisture that they need and it lasts quite a long time before I have to re-apply. I definitely would purchase this in a heart beat in the future!

Eyes
Bausch + Lomb Bio True Multi-Purpose Solution (60 ml) - I received this complimentary in the mail a few months back and I really enjoyed using this contact lens solution! It cleans and disinfects like any other solution, but this particular product claims to be ‘pH balanced to match tears’. It also gives you ‘up to 20 hours of moist lenses’. I have already gone ahead and purchased the larger sized bottle!

Dailies Total 1 Water Gradient One-Day Contact Lenses - My optometrist was kind enough to give me these to try-out. They were very comfortable to wear and they did not irritate my eyes at all. My only complaint is that I like re-usable lenses and these are daily wear lenses. You wear them for a day and then you toss them out which isn’t my favourite. I would not purchase these for that sole reason.

Teeth
Crest Pro-Health Advanced Gum Protection (20 ml) - I received this sample from my dentist and I really liked it! The toothpaste made my mouth feel minty fresh and very clean! My gums are not overly sensitive but I would definitely consider buying the full sized version of this toothpaste in the future!

Sensodyne Daily Repair Toothpaste (20 ml) - This may not be important to some, but this sample sized version was able to stand up straight on the countertop. That is something very menial that I really love about the packaging of different toothpastes when it is able to stay up vertically. The formula in-general wasn’t the best and I wouldn't purchase a larger size of this unfortunately. I don’t have sensitive teeth or any cavities and these features do not pertain to me but it may be more useful to those with either issue.

Body
Dove Dry Oil Moisture Nourishing Body Wash with Nutrium Moisture (53 ml) - It claims to help give you ‘softer, smoother skin after one shower.’ I would have to agree with that and it did make my skin feel very soft after just one use! I like both the formula as well as the scent! I definitely would use this product again!

Jergens Vitamin E Moisturizer (365 ml) - This bottle took me quite a bit to get through and I really enjoyed using it! There were other selections to choose from with various beneficial ingredients and if you already don’t know, I really do love Vitamin E so this called my name! There are numerous benefits from using Vitamin E that you can read up about online. This was very mild scented and if you’re sensitive to smells, this will work out well for you!

Fragrance
Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs - This is an Eau De Toilette Spray and it is described as ‘ethereal and luminous.’ There is ‘an irresistible fruity floral with delectable notes of blackberry, jasmine and wisteria.’ The formula appears to be light blue in the little tube which I found to be rather cool, it is a softer fragrance than Chloe. You can definitely get away with spraying a few spritzes of this throughout the day. I felt like you needed to spray a lot of this and even then, it wore off very quickly! I enjoyed wearing it but I would not purchase a larger sized bottle even though it is very beautiful to have on display!

Food/Gum
Stride Spearmint Gum - I received many of these in Toronto and I have purchased this gum many times in the past. This flavour is my favourite and the Sour Patch flavours are way too sweet for me and the Lemonberry isn’t my favourite. It is also very sweet and the flavour doesn't last too long. I love the updated logo and the fresh as well as modern look, that they gave the brand. It is definitely a lot more eye-catching than it was before!

Other/Miscellaneous
Dream Water in Snoozeberry (74 ml) - I had never heard of this product before and I was very intrigued to try it out! It claims to ‘help increase total sleep and sleep quality.’ It is made in the USA and you are supposed to drink this entire bottle 30 minutes before you go to sleep. There are 0 calories and it is fast acting. It took about 1.5-2 hours for me to feel rather tired after drinking all the contents inside the bottle. The taste isn’t awful but it isn't my favourite.

Be sure to check out my January Tops & Flops on my YouTube channel!

Until next time,

December Empties | 2016

Hey everyone! I can't believe that it is 2017! I hope that you had fun ringing in the New Year whichever way you chose to do so in! I am sharing with you all of the products that I have used up in December and as mentioned in my November Empties post, I am showing photos based on which category that they fall in. Next empties post, I plan on doing an overview of all the products and then breaking it up into categories like I did for this post.

Face
Sephora Sleeping Mask in Algae - I do have an entire dedicated blog post to this specific product where I go into more detail. I really enjoyed the light scent of this mask and it made my skin soft as well as radiant in the morning! I was able to use the mask for 11 days in total.

Hands
Soap & Glory Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream (50 ml/1.69 US fl oz) - I purchased this when I went shopping in Buffalo and I featured it in a haul. I loved the smell of this product and even some of my male friends used this hand cream as well! It is formulated with: Shea Butter, Macadamia Oil and Marshmallow! It is great to toss in your purse and it is very inexpensive! I purchased mine at ULTA for $4 USD and I definitely need to go back to purchase a larger size. Update: I just recently found it at Shoppers Drug Mart!

Body
Johnson’s Baby Wash in Honey Apple - I have gone through several of these in the past and nothing makes my skin more smooth than these baby washes! I swear by them and they are very affordable! The Honey Apple scent is by far one of my favourites that Johnson’s offers!

Bath & Body Works
Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte - I adore this scent and have the matching Pocket Bag that I featured in my Fall Haul. It is a perfect Fall scent and I can’t get enough of it!

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Wicked Plum - I actually featured this item in my October Favourites video. There is a light, pleasant scent to this hand soap and I just loved the Halloween inspired label on the front, as well as the black pump!

Bath & Body Works Scentportable in Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte - This is a great fall/winter scent! I did feature it in my Fall Haul video! I would definitely recommend purchasing this scent to put in your car around the holidays!

Bath & Body Works Scentportable in Leaves - When I first smelled this scent, I smelled a hint of cinnamon. I really enjoy it and it smells great in the car!

Food/Beverages
Teekanne Elderflower Lemon Herbal Tea - I had a hard time finding Elderflower tea. I found some loose tea tea on Amazon but I wanted to be able to find it in-stores. I went to my local Polish store and found this box there for only a few dollars. Elderflower is great for many things but I mainly bought it to help my inflammation go down as well as to help my allergies. I have an entire blog post dedicated to this lovely Elderflower Tea!

Other/Miscellaneous
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo (592 ml) - I have been using this product for many years now to clean my makeup brushes. It serves its purpose and is very gentle on my makeup brushes as well as my makeup sponges. I have an entire video where I compare three different brush cleaners!

Samples/Promo

Hair
Dove Advanced Hair Series Regenerative Nourishment Shampoo, Conditioner & Serum - I received this in my Fall SampleSource Box and I have been using these products for a little while now. I enjoyed using them and these tubes are great to travel with! I love the scent of each one and I really liked using them in the shower! The serum was decent but it is not one of my favourites unfortunately. This line is for people with damaged and over-processed hair which I do not have therefore, someone with either issue could benefit from this line much more than I could!

Makeup
The Estee Edit by Estee Lauder Pore Vanishing Stick - I keep getting these as samples for some reason and I like the concept behind it, it is just hard to use as a sample because it crumbles. It does blur out my pores and evens out my skin tone. I still like the Pore-fessional by Benefit more but it all comes down the personal preference!

COVERGIRL TRUBlend Foundation Sampler - I received this in a goodie bag at Walgreens when I was in New York and this is a great concept! You are able to see which shade best matches your skin tone. Although I already had the full sized version bottle when I received this, I still used it and right now, I feel like m3 would be a better match for me! I wouldn't have known this without consulting the sample pack!

Face
Sephora Sleeping Mask in Rose - I included this Sephora Sleeping Mask in this category because I did receive it free in my Sephora Mystery Bag. It has a very light scent and it was very moisturizing on my skin!

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask (15 ml or 0.5 fl oz) - I received this in the ‘Hall of Fame Kit’ by Peter Thomas Roth that is available on the Sephora web site. I did enjoy using this mask and it made my skin very soft afterwards. I thought that it would feel gooey and sticky on my face but it didn't feel like either. I still have a larger size to go through of this mask from their other kit!

Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel - I received this as one of my 3 free samples that I was able to choose on the Sephora web site. Boscia is a Japanese brand and Tsubaki is reference to camellia flowers. There is a rather strong scent to this cleansing oil-gel that may take some getting used to but overall, it removed my full face of makeup very well! I went in with a makeup wipe afterwards, and there wasn’t too much leftover on the wipe! Just make sure to work the product into your skin in circular motions for best results! Overall, I was impressed and didn’t know much about this product beforehand!

Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream (3 ml) - This was another item that I received in my Sephora Mystery Bag. This little tube lasted me quite a long time when using it both day and night. I loved the orange packaging but this eye cream didn’t WOW me. I enjoyed using it but I found it to be like the other eye creams that I have used in the past and it didn't stand out from the rest.

GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment - I received this as a sample from Sephora. I really enjoyed using it and that is why I purchased the larger sized version of this particular product at the Estee Lauder Makeup Sale that I attended this month. This is great for all skin types for both men and women! It is Paraben Free, Vegan and it claims to be Natural. Some of the ingredients include: Volcanic Rock, French Sea Clay and Active Green Tea Leaf. There is a slight tingling sensation when the mask is applied and it is recommended to remove the mask in circular motions with water to ensure that your skin is being exfoliated. I also appreciated the fact that it dried very quickly once it was applied onto my skin!

GLAMGLOW GRAVITYMUD Firming Treatment - This mask includes TeaOxi Complex with Licorice as well as Marshmallow Leaf. It claims to: firm, lift, tighten and tone. This is a firming mask and it is advised that you leave it on for 20-30 minutes. It also states on the packaging that it will change colour as it dries. It is a peel-off mask and any excess product on your face needs to be washed off with warm water. It has a pearlized finish to the mask when you first put it on and it smells very unique but don’t get me wrong, the smell is very pleasant. I left my mask on for 30 minutes. This was honestly one of the best, if not, the best peel off mask that I have ever used! I was not messy at all to peel if off my skin, I avoided my hairline as well as my eyebrows like the packaging recommended. My skin felt softer and look more radiant after I washed the very little that was left on my face with warm water. I was extremely impressed and I am highly considering purchasing the full-sized version when I use up all of my other GLAMGLOW masks!

Nivea 3-in-1 Refreshing Cleansing Wipes (7 Wipes) - I received these free at a convention in a tote bag. These claim to be for normal skin and you can use it on your: eyes, lips as well as face. There is Nivea lotion infused in these as well as Vitamin E. These are marketed as being moisturizing and claim to be able to take-off even waterproof makeup. My Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation is waterproof and it took that off no problem. I don’t wear waterproof mascara therefore I cannot comment on that. These definitely smell like a typical Nivea cream or lotion which I really appreciated because that means that the brand is consistent with the scents as well as the quality of their products. I enjoyed using these cleansing wipes and there was a label for ‘eyelash care’ on the packaging. I found that it was very gentle on my eyes to remove makeup and I did not have to rub too hard to remove my eye makeup.

ELF Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths (20 Pre-moistened Cloths) - This came free with my order as it was a promotional offer. I did enjoy using this cleansing cloths and they did a great job at removing my makeup. I find the size of them to be perfect and they do not tear apart while using them. More importantly, these cleansing cloths do not pull or tug at your skin when removing your makeup and they are very gentle around the eye area. They are not among some of my favourite but I would definitely purchase them in the future!

Fragrance
Gucci Bamboo - This Eau De Parfum is ‘inspired by the captivating power of contrast.’ It is both sensual as well as powerful. The notes include: Italian Bergamot, Casablanca Lily, Ylang Ylang and Comoros Sandalwood. I can see why people enjoy wearing this scent so much but on me and with my body chemistry, I found it just to be mediocre. Someone with different body chemistry than me will probably enjoy using this scent a lot more than I did. It isn’t bad by any means though.

Miu Miu Eau De Parfum - I am honestly not too familiar with this brand, but I know that they have a particular pair of glasses that look amazing on different face shapes! I digress, I have taken this directly off of the Sephora web site, “The soft, fresh, ingĂ©nue scent is set against a deep earth-toned background: the wood and pepper of akigalawood, an extract of patchouli. The akigalawood adds a rich, brooding mystery to the subtle sparkle of the floral.” Also on the Sephora web site was many negative reviews and some even said that this smelt of a strong floral scent. I got my mom to smell the perfume when I was wearing it and she said that it smelled of strong pepper. I had only applied one spritz and let me tell you that a little bit goes a long way! I was not able to finish this fragrance as it does not work well on my body chemistry.

Si Eau De Parfum by Giorgio Armani - I honestly didn't expect this perfume to smell as good as it does! It smells incredible, is not too floral and smells more on the warm side which is exactly how I like my perfumes! There are notes of: Pear, Freesia and Amber Wood. I am debating picking up a full sized bottle of this fragrance right now actually!

Food
KIND Bar in Almond & Coconut - A coworker of mine gave me this bar to try-out and I absolutely love it! You can really taste the coconut which I appreciate because a lot of bars claim to have coconut in them but I can’t even taste it most of the time! This makes for a great snack and KIND uses natural ingredients. I actually like this flavour more than the Peanut Butter & Dark Chocolate bar that I tried a couple months ago which was featured in my October Empties!

Orville Redenbacher’s Caramel & White Cheddar Gourmet Popcorn - I featured this food product in my December Favourites Video and I also have an entire dedicated blog post to this fabulous, decadent popcorn. They use premium ingredients that really do make a difference in the taste and I absolutely love almost anything White Cheddar so this was calling my name!

Teeth
Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Fluoride AntiCavity Toothpaste (x3) - I received a few samples of this product, one which was featured in my Fall SampleSource Box. I thoroughly did enjoy using this toothpaste and it made my teeth feel clean! My breath was minty fresh which came from the ‘Clean Mint’ flavour. I am currently bored using my usual Crest Toothpaste that I feature in many of my empties blog posts therefore, I may consider making this my new go-to toothpaste!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY
