Sorel Tofino II Waterproof Fleece Lined Winter Boot | Review

Hey everyone! I originally wanted to write this review for you last winter but it was too late because all the snow melted! I will be reviewing the Sorel Tofino II Waterproof Boots.
I hadn't owned a pair of Sorel boots since I was a kid and since a lot of my friends already purchased a pair and had good things to say about them, I decided to look into them more. I compared different styles and settled on these for several reasons.
These boots look great when they are on and I love the fact that they are waterproof! I realized that a lot of my boots were not waterproof and I was tired of having both wet socks as well as wet feet!
I decided to get mine in the all black because they will go with everything! They also come in the colour tan and I purchased mine at Journey's when they were on sale for $115.
The fur does go all the way inside and my feet do stay warm but you do need to still wear a good pair of thick socks with these boots! I live in Canada and anyone who has visited here in the winter or lives here knows how brutal our winters can be! These boots met all my requirements and are built well for me to take on the winter weather conditions!
There is a slight heel to them which is great because most of my boots are flat which means that there is not much support at all! I also like that the boots are lace-up because you can make them as tight or as loose as you want! They are adjustable and not a one size fit all type of boot which is great for different occasions such as if you were to do winter sports where you probably will be wearing snow pants which could be easily tucked into these boots.
These have great tread on them and I can safely plant my boots on snow without worrying about the traction!
I have small feet and I ended up getting a kid's 5 so I could wear thicker socks with these boots and they were significantly cheaper to get them in kid's than women's!
I have no buyer's remorse about purchasing these boots and have worn them quite a few times already! I didn't have to break them in and they are by far my warmest pair of boots!

Until next time,

Ardell Dual Lash Applicator Review

Hey everyone! I have seen numerous people in the beauty community use the Ardell Dual Lash Applicator and wanted to put it to the test to see if it is actually useful or if it's just a gimmick.

Overview & Claims
It is supposed to be used as a tool to help you easily apply your false lashes. The curved end is used to grab the lashes close to the eyelash band and apply them as close as possible to the eyelashes. The pink rubber tip is meant to help push the band to the actual lash line to secure the lashes and push them in place.
Price Point, Where To Purchase & Is It Worth It?
I purchased mine on Amazon for $5.80 and shipping was relatively fast. The applicator is made out of plastic, it is very lightweight and there isn't any sharp edges that could potentially poke you in the eye. It is more safe than using tweezers to apply your false eyelashes which I normally use. These are very affordable and are easy to clean. I would recommend them and always reach for them when applying false lashes now. Don't get me wrong, tweezers work perfectly fine but if you are tired of taking the eyelash glue off your tweezers and want a separate tool for applying your false lashes, definitely look into this one!

How To Wear & Style Timberland Boots & Cleaning Tips

Hey everyone! I have been wanting a pair of Timberland boots for a very long time! They are definitely an investment and I recommend purchasing the cleaning kit for them to keep them looking fresh! I'll show you a few ways to style them and how I keep them clean.

Timberland 6" Premium Waterproof Boots (Boy's Grade School Size 4 in Black)

Timberland 6" Premium Waterproof Boots (Boy's Grade School Size 4 in Wheat)

Sizing, Price & Where To Buy
I was conflicted for a long time on which size I needed in Timberlands as they run big. I was reading online that men were going 1-1.5 sizes down because they were way too big for them. I wear a women's size 6 and I purchased a boy's size 4 which fits me perfectly with a little bit of extra room to be able to wear thicker socks in the winter. My Jordan slides are the same size in boy's also. I purchased both pairs of boots on the Foot Locker website during Cyber Monday because they were having free shipping and I was able to save 25% off my entire order. I originally was going to buy just the black pair but after I did the math, I basically got 2 pairs for the price of 1 pair of men's Timberland boots and I saved $67.50 on my entire order. Each pair of boots originally costs $134.99 and my boots shipped from 2 different stores in my area.

Protecting Your Timberlands & Features of the Boot
I have a protective spray in the basement that I will use before wearing these outside and I want to mention that they are very comfortable! I don't need to break them in as they are ready to wear already and the grips aka the lugged traction pattern on the rubber sole are definitely impressive which helps with traction! The upper is leather, the collar is padded making them very comfortable and the laces are Taslan. These are: lightweight, durable, breathable, water resistant and are 90% recycled content. In my opinion, these boots look nicer in person than online.

I purchased mine on Amazon for $19.99 and it was recommended to me that I purchase this to keep my Timbs in good condition. It is meant to be used on suede and nubuck leather. You are getting the cleaning bar and brush in the kit. The brush will remove loose or dried dirt and the cleaner will help to remove stains.

Trying Out 5 Tony Moly I'm Real Sheet Masks | Review

Hey everyone! I have tried out a few of these masks in the past and wanted to give you a review on some of the Sheet Masks by Tony Moly in one post. Let's see which ones were my favourites!

Tony Moly I'm Real Pomegranate Mask - My first thoughts on this mask were that is was definitely saturated in essence, it wasn't dripping though and it had a unique scent to it. I can't pinpoint it but it did not smell like pomegranate. There was a cooling sensation on the skin but this wasn't one of my favourite masks. This mask helps to firm up the skin and it helps with elasticity.

Tony Moly I'm Real Broccoli Mask - I don't know if this was just my mask, but this mask was dripping in essence as soon as I ripped open the package. It did not smell like broccoli but it felt very wet on the skin. This mask was just mediocre and isn't at the top of my list. It provides vitalizing energy to tired skin.

Tony Moly I'm Real Seaweed Mask - This is a skin purifying mask and helps to make the skin look bright, more radiant with 'freshness of the sea.' It feeling cooling on the skin, it smelled great and fit comfortably on my face. It left my skin looking a little bit more radiant and my skin drank up the essence. I really enjoyed using this mask and it was a nice treat for my face.

Tony Moly I'm Real Aloe Mask - The aloe mask gave a cooling sensation to the skin, it fit my face well and I loved the scent! The Aloe Sheet Mask is meant for moisturizing and it delivers moisturizing properties to dry skin. This honestly is now added to the list of my favourite sheet masks as it definitely gave my face the moisture it was lacking and I just love the packaging!

Tony Moly I'm Real Red Wine Mask - This mask is targeted to help care for your pores and it helps to tighten uneven skin texture with enlarged pores. The red wine mask: did not smell like red wine, the essence was not red; it was clear and the packaging on this particular mask was the favourite out of the bunch.

I want to mention that I left each mask on for 20 minutes and I exfoliated as well as toned my face before applying each sheet mask. I love the bright, fun packaging and you already know that I purchase all my masks from my favourite store in bulk a few times a year! These masks are made in Korea and each mask was under $2. The expiration date is at the very bottom and it contains 21 grams. My two favourites were the aloe and seaweed sheet masks. I would purchased either (or both,) again in a heartbeat!

RealHer Play Book Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I had never even heard of this brand until a few days ago and wanted to play around with the different shades in the palette for my readers who want to see how they swatched.

Packaging & Shades
This is hard cardboard with a magnetic closure and the black material does get very dirty. You can wipe it off but it will continuously get shadow on it and it is hard to keep clean. It definitely reminds me of the NARS packaging. The shades are mostly shimmery and metallic. You will probably have shimmer on your lids no matter what and if you prefer matte palettes, then stay far away from this one. I can't use this palette for an entire look because there are no matte crease colours. The shades fall more into a neutral, brown range and the only real pop of colour is the shade Creative which is a metallic pink. The shades claim to be richly-pigmented and I would have to say that not all of them are but majority are. The colours are buildable and I found most of the shadows to be soft. Also, some of the pans are not glued into the palette very well and are loose.

  Swatches
The first three shades are similar and the first two are slightly different. The fourth shade swatched completely different to how it actually looks in the pan to my surprise. The shade after that looks almost duo chrome and reminds me of that gorgeous duo chrome shade in the Carli Bybel Deluxe Palette. The black shade swatched the worst and it is not an opaque black with one swatch. I actually had to go over it multiple times and I would actually use another black from another palette that I already own. I feel like these shadows are powdery and do have kick-up for the most part.

Where To Buy & Price
I found this online on FabFitFun, BoxyCharm and the RealHer website for $28 USD. Each shade works out to be just over $3.

Benefits, Claims, Wear Test & Final Thoughts
This is not a must have palette in my honest opinion, but there are some awesome shades that caught my eye and they performed decently. If you like shimmery and metallic shades, then give this palette a try. This would be a great starter palette or good for someone who doesn't have many eyeshadow palettes that loves shimmery shadows. It claims to be for all eye colours and I would have to agree because for instance, the pink as well as the purple/taupe shade would make my hazel eyes pop. It also claims to be for all skin tones but I would disagree with that because not all the shades would work on deeper skin tones and they could end up look ashy.

Also, I put this palette to the test and wore a few of the shades in the palette to a concert. The verdict was that despite packing on the shades, they faded significantly throughout the night and definitely failed that test. It looked like I never put on an inner corner shade and the other palette that I used on my crease held up much better than this one. My concert was only a few hours and I want to put emphasis on that I made sure to heavily pack on my lid colour. I also want to mention that I did not touch up the shadow throughout the night nor when I go home so it was a true wear test. Therefore in conclusion, it is not long wearing as the claim suggests. If you have more than a dozen palettes in your collection, you can definitely skip this one. It is also: paraben free, cruelty free, vegan, sulfate free and they use natural ingredients.

IT Cosmetics | Skin Care & Makeup | 6 Reviews

Hey everyone! I picked up all these products at the TSC Warehouse Sale | July 2018 and wanted to give you my thoughts on each item in 1 single post!

Bye Bye Lines Serum - $70 (30 ml) - This serum claims to be for all skin types and that this is a weightless wonder serum that helps to erase fine lines, wrinkles as well as deliver many other benefits to the skin.
In one application, I use 3 full pumps for my face and this bottle is small so I feel like I will go through this product like water. There is a slight scent to it that is pleasant and you can use this both in the morning as well as the night time. It also suggests that you can use this in place of your moisturizer which I tried out. There are a lot of ingredients in this serum that you can read about if you click on the link above. Some ingredients include: peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, hyaluronic acid and argan oil. Also, I feel that I won't be able to get all the product inside the bottle due to the design which is annoying.
Update: It went up in price and is now $77.

Bye Bye Under Eye Cream - $63 (15 ml) - This claims to help smooth, brighten and de-puff the under eye area. It is recommended that you use this both in the morning and at night to get powerful results. I do like the formula of this product as it is thicker, but it is rather expensive as you are getting half a fluid ounce. It did not dehydrate my skin and although it worked well for me, I couldn't justify spending full price on an eye cream that will only last me a few months. Ingredients found in this formula include: copper, blue algae, caffeine, vitamin c, cucumber, collagen and peptides. This is developed with plastic surgeons and dermatologists. This is clinically tested, ophthalmologist tested, paraben free and cruelty free. This eye cream has a 12 month shelf life and is made in Korea but distributed in New Jersey. It can be used on all skin types including sensitive.

Hello Light Crème Anti-Aging Radiance Crème Luminizer in Radiance - $32 (6.53 g) - This cream highlighter claims to give you that lit from within glow that is formulated with hydrolyzed collagen, peptides as well as using drops of light technology that helps to give you a natural looking glow. There is a pamphlet inside that shows you the ideal points to apply this product onto your face which as basically all the high points of your face. This product is very natural and to get the colour payoff that you see in the swatches, you need to really build up the product. If you are looking for a natural product then this is the one for you but I honestly prefer my Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighters. It is better to apply with your fingers than a sponge because it sheers out the product way too much. This isn't a favourite of mine and I may see if my Mom can get better use out of it.

Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Pressed Powder in Translucent - $38 (9 g)  -This powder claims to help blur your pores as well as your imperfections, and that it is a mattifying setting powder. It gives off a silky, skin perfecting finish that helps give your skin a youthful, airbrushed complexion. Ingredients found in this powder include: peptides, silk, antioxidants and hydrolyzed collagen. I really like this powder and yes, it does feel silky smooth on the skin. I will be taking this powder with me on my trip and it comes with a sponge underneath which is perfect for on-the-go touch-ups. The translucent shade claims to be for all skin tones but I'm really not sure if it actually is as the powder is white. It is: talc free, paraben free and also, cruelty free. It is clinically tested and has a shelf life of 24 months.
Update: It's now $40.

I like the fact that it comes with a sponge at the bottom of the compact which is perfect for on-the-go touch-ups!

Superhero Mascara in Super Black (9 ml) $32 - This mascara surprised me in a good way! It was very hyped up and I wasn't sure if I should fall into the hype or not. It is definitely worth all the hype and it gave my lashes volume as well as length! It is going to be the only mascara that I travel with and it did not flake on me throughout the day. My eyes were very watery and none of the product ended up transferring! This also claims to be suitable for contact lens wearers which applies to be from time-to-time. I have hard lashes to deal with as they are long and straight. I really need to curl them and this mascara helps my lashes look great throughout the day!

2 Month Update: This is hands down my favourite mascara of all time as it gives my sparse, straight lashes both volume as well as length. It truly does transform your lashes as it says on the box. The only downfall is that it can get messy and the formula does get stuck in the crack where you untwist the product to get to the applicator when you open the tube up. I can look past that but just wanted to give you a warning here!

Hello Lashes 5-in-1 Volumizing Mascara in Black (9.9 ml) $32 - This mascara claims to be volumizing and the packaging does feel luxurious. It has a: conditioning primer, peptide-infused lash serum, a lash tint and a lash comb. I still curl my lashes before using this mascara and I felt that it separated my lashes really but it was good for giving my lashes length - not so much volume. The ball on the end is great for getting the hard to reach lashes in the inner corners and remind me of the COVERGIRL mascara that I reviewed in the past on my old domain. I much prefer the Superhero mascara over this one but it isn't a bad mascara by any means; it just depends what you are looking for in a mascara.
