Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette | Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I love the first Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette that I have an entire review on, and I definitely had to keep on supporting her by purchasing the Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette! I get a lot of use out of the first palette as it is one of my most used palettes, and I was excited to finally receive the Deluxe Edition in the mail!

The Palette & Benefits
There are 11 classic shades and 10 new exciting shades inside this palette. The highlighters are absolutely gorgeous and 4 of them are square rather than circular in shape, (in the first palette, they came in a rounded pan.) The 2 highlighters above those are a rectangular shape, and you can tell that they are much wider as well as larger in size. These highlighters can also be used on the eyes and there is a nice mix of both shimmers as well as matte shades. There are enough neutrals to create an every day look and you can also use this palette to take it to a night time look. You can create many different looks using this palette depending on how you're feeling that day and I will definitely take it with me when I go traveling! In total, you are getting 15 eyeshadows. It is: vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free, clinically tested, non-irritating and allergy tested.

Carli Bybel Original Palette vs Deluxe Edition Palette
The background of the exterior packaging is the same, the fonts are the same cursive type but the deluxe edition is rose-gold and the original palette is a silver font. The original has the description of the palette bolded and on the deluxe edition, it isn't bolded. Carli used the same border in both palettes when you open it up but the original has one border going all the way down and the deluxe edition has two borders: one for the top section and one for the bottom. The quote is the same for both palettes and the deluxe edition has a marble background whereas the original has a different pattern where the shadows are laid out. There are not just circular pans in the deluxe edition like in the original palette, Carli included square pans as well as rectangular pans for the highlighter; the 15 eyeshadows are all housed in circular pans to differentiate them. The deluxe palette is definitely larger in size and the penguin on the spine of each palette remains the same alongside her name.

  Packaging
The actual palette comes in a cover that you take right off at the sides. There is a nice sized mirror surrounded by a gorgeous border with a beautiful quote at the bottom that reads, "Aspire to inspire." Also, who doesn't love marble? This will definitely look very elegant on your vanity and it is very easy to store away. The packaging feels very sturdy and there is a magnetic closure. The font is a gorgeous rose-gold tone and it is simple yet elegant.

Price, Where To Purchase & Shipping
The palette was being sold for $19.50 before June 1st and there is a limit of 2 per customer. After June 1st, the price increased to $22.50 for the palette. The first palette was available on BH Cosmetics web site but is not sold on there anymore. The Deluxe Edition Palette is also no longer available on Pranava which was her website. I paid $9.95 for shipping to Canada on the Pranava site and it took 30 days to receive my palette as I received it exactly a month later on Tuesday, May 30th. I placed my order on Sunday, April 30th and received an email confirming that my palette had been shipped with tracking on Tuesday, May 2nd.

Swatches
The pink shimmery shade caught my eye and I was drawn to it! That shade is pink with gold shimmer and the shadow right beside it reminds me of NARS Luster as it looks like a gold apricot shade. I also love the ninth shade in the palette! They switched very easily but the last brown eyeshadow in the palette needed a little bit more attention.

 Overall Thoughts
These shades are: creamy, soft, buttery, blendable, highly pigmented and easy to work with. There is not a lot of fallout and I really do love the colour range. The formula is on point and the staying power is very good! It is very affordable and you honestly can't beat the price! The presentation, the layout and the use of different geometric shapes for the pans looks great! I really have nothing negative to say except for that I wish my palette arrived sooner because it took exactly a month for it to arrive in the mail.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY

Pranava Beauty - Serenity Charity Bracelet by Carli Bybel

Hey everyone! Carli Bybel recently launched Pranava Beauty which is a website where you can see her latest projects as well as find out more about the WAH Foundation which I will expand on further down into the post. I am all about supporting a good cause and I definitely had to purchase the beautiful Serenity Charity Bracelet!

The Charity Bracelets
Carli came out with 4 gorgeous bracelets that all have a meaning behind them and each piece includes a real semi-precious stone. They are gold plated and they look great stacked (which you can see on Carli on the Pranava Beauty website.) They are limited edition and if you are thinking about getting one, I suggest that you do so before they are all gone! The best thing is that 100% of the profits will be donated to help bring girls to school in Cambodia and the goal is to raise $100,000 which she definitely surpassed!

Serenity
I chose Serenity after viewing all of the other bracelets for several reasons. Green is my absolute favourite colour and I was instantly drawn to the jade stone. I have taken this directly from the website and you can read more about it on Pranava Beauty: "It is a protective stone, which will keep the wearer from harm and brings harmony into your life. Jade brings good luck and friendship." That  definitely stood out to me and ultimately helped me make my decision. This bracelet will match just about every single outfit and the gold will really compliment a nice tan! It was also packaged well in a white branded box with some removable cushion for the bracelet.

Bracelet Details
I have very small wrists in general and most of the time, I cannot wear bangles because they will slide right off my wrist. This bracelet comes with a lobster clasp that helps you adjust the size of your bracelet to your liking. The bracelet measures 7" in length and has a 2" extender. This is a very well constructed piece and it is very delicate. This sits closer to my hand for the reason that I just mentioned and I do wear my bracelet on the first link which is the smallest that it can go. The Om symbol hangs down and it placed on a gold circle which is a stunning detail.

There is a rhinestone crystal beside the word 'serenity' and the brown fabric is braided into three appearing that it will not fray. There are 4 circular gold accents on either side of the jade stone which is a detail that I think is brilliant! Another great feature is that if you are wearing this bracelet either with a sweater or long sleeves, the links that drop down may get intertwined with the rest of the bracelet at the back but it actually looks fantastic like that! Some bracelets look messy or the wearer may get annoyed when that happens but in this case, it almost looks better that way! I don't know if that was done on purpose or if it was done without knowing, but it looks great either way!

Price & Shipping
Each one of her stunning bracelets retails for $20 USD. On the web site it says, "ships on or before March 27th." My shipping date was on April 6th, but that was fine with me. This is a new project for her and I honestly didn't mind waiting for my gorgeous bracelet to come in the mail. I placed my order on March 21st and I received my bracelet in the mail on April 13th. It took 22 days from when I placed my order until I actually received my bracelet in the mail so keep that in-mind when you are ordering. Especially if you plan on ordering a bracelet as a gift for a loved one.

If you are wondering how much shipping costs, it was $9.95 USD to ship from the USA to Canada. That is the international shipping cost and Pranava ships worldwide. If you live in the USA, then shipping will run you $4.95 USD. Overall, my total come to $29.95 USD and with the conversion rate, it ran me a total of $41.20 CAD. They ship from Los Angeles, California.

WAH Foundation & Pranava Beauty
Carli has been named the Global Ambassador for the WAH Foundation. She also launched the Carli Bybel Scholarship program which will send 120 girls to school in Cambodia which includes: books, tuition, housing and meals for 4 consecutive years. Even though she reached her goal, she still wants to help send as many girls as she can to school in Cambodia and will continue to do so as long as there is still stock available for her bracelets! She recently flew to Cambodia to deliver the check for $100,000 herself in person!

If you are wondering, Pranava means 'cosmic sound' in Sanskrit and is the name for the mantra Om. The great thing is that her products are 100% vegan and 100% gluten-free. She goes more into depth and elaborates more on her Youtube video titled, 'Big Announcement + New Product Launch!' that I have linked for you. She is definitely putting her platform to good use!
I have been watching and supporting Carli for many years. I purchased her first 14 Colour Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette that came out on BH Cosmetics web site that I have an entire review on. Right now, you can pre-order her new palette on the Pranava Beauty website which looks stunning with the marble detail! There are 21 eyeshadows and a gorgeous range of highlighters! Some of the shades are the same as the first palette and some are new. It retails for $19.50 USD and there is a limit of 2 for each customer.

Carli will definitely be coming out with future projects in the upcoming months and there is even a 'perfume' section on her web site that sounds very exciting. I absolutely love my Serenity Charity Bracelet and it is even more fulfilling to know that will my purchase, it has gone to an amazing cause helping a girl across the world in Cambodia, to be able to go to school!

Until next time,

My 5 Most Used Eyeshadow Palettes | Affordable & High End

Hey everyone! Many of us have too many palettes in our collection or palettes that have nice packaging, but we never use them. I wanted to share with you my top 5 eyeshadow palettes (both high end and affordable,) that I have used many times as well as even travelled with that I think are worth every penny!

1. Urban Decay Naked Palette - I have had this palette for quite some time now and I still find myself using it! I have packed this in my carry-on many times and there is a great shade range! It retails for $66 CAD on the Sephora web site along with the other palettes in the series with 12 eyeshadow pans. This is the first edition you can honestly do so many different looks with this one palette!

2. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - I purchased mine when I was in Hollywood and I have hit pan on 3 of the shades! I love that there is a carbon black shade called 'Crave' and that there is one shimmery shade in the palette named 'Venus.' There are two matte shades that you can use all over the lid and they also give you a choice of two matte crease colours. It retails for $36 CAD and you can purchase it at Sephora.

3. Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette - I do have an entire blog post on this where I reviewed this palette and I constantly find myself reaching for this lovely palette! It has 14 eyeshadows and 4 beautiful highlighters that I use in rotation! I packed this with me on vacation several times and it has a nice sized mirror! The shades are great for every skin tone and I can use this when I am on the more fair side or even when I am more tanned. It is very affordable as it retails for $14.50 USD on the BH Cosmetics web site and keep in mind that this is limited edition. Once all the palettes are sold out, there are no more being made and you will have to purchase it on eBay or Amazon.

4. BH Cosmetics Neutral Eyes 28 Colour Eyeshadow Palette - This is also another affordable palette that is sold for $12 USD on the BH Cosmetics web site. As you can probably tell already, I love neutral shades and these pans are quite large which is another bonus! The pans are rather pigmented and you get 28 shades which are perfect to create a plethora of different looks! I purchased this a little over 2 years now and I showed it in my Black Friday + Cyber Monday Collective Haul post.

5. Morphe 35O Eyeshadow Palette - I purchased the palette with both shimmers and mattes because I didn't want a palette that just had one or the other - I wanted both! I am very happy with this palette and I know that it was very hyped up. I say that it does live up to its hype and if you love a great warm toned palette, this one is definitely for you! I purchased mine for $22.99 USD on the Morphe web site. I did haul this in a past blog post where I showed you what items I purchased when I received my very first order online from Morphe.

Let me know in the comments what your most used palettes are!
