GLAMGLOW POWERMUD vs GLAMGLOW FLASHMUD

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to compare two masks by GLAMGLOW that I am currently using in rotation. They are: the GLAMGLOW POWERMUD Dual Cleanse Treatment and the GLAMGLOW FLASHMUD Brightening Treatment. I am putting both to the test and wanted to share my thoughts on them with you!

POWERMUD
This is a detox mask that will help: cleanse, detox, nourish, purify and renew your skin. It is suggested to use post-workout to detox your skin and purify those pores. This mask is targeted to those who suffer from: dryness, oiliness, dullness and uneven skin texture. It is rather grainy in texture because it is meant to be used as a mask and then when you are washing it off, you are supposed to wet your face while using circular motions which helps exfoliate your skin. This mask dries rather quickly and I leave it on for 10-15 minutes. It is encouraged to use this as a full face mask 1-2 times a week.

FLASHMUD
This is a brightening mask that will help: correct, brighten and let the skin look more luminous. It will also even out the tone and make the skin appear more radiant. If you have: dark spots, an uneven skin tone, dullness or an uneven skin texture, this would be a great mask for you to test out! Same thing as the POWERMUD, there are tiny granules because it acts as a mask as well as an exfoliator and you want to wash it off using the same method as I previously mentioned.

I loved the scent of this product, it went on a lot smoother than the POWERMUD did, it is easier to see where exactly you have applied it onto your face and any spots that you may have missed. I used more product though to get an even application, the consistency reminded me of hybrid between POWERMUD due to its gritty texture and YOUTHMUD because of the larger flakes contained inside the formula. For best results, use this 2-3 times per week and use it to cover your entire face.

Thoughts & Winner
It would definitely have to be the FLASHMUD by a long shot! When it dries, it doesn't crack like other facial masks do to a point where if you laugh or try to speak, it hurts. This mask doesn't even feel like you have one on and it is extremely lightweight even after it has dried on the skin. I kept touching my face to see if it was dried because I didn't feel like there was a mask on my face! It did an excellent job at exfoliating my face and my face felt very soft after using it!

There are 6 masks in total and I have tried 4 of them. The mask retails on the Sephora website for $79 but you can also purchase the travel size for $24 if you to try it out. I purchased both of my masks at the Estee Lauder Warehouse Sale for a discounted price.

I do have a dedicated post where I go more into depth about the brand in-general. The post is titled, 'All About GLAMGLOW.'

$12 ELF Dupe for the Sephora Collection Brush

Hey everyone! I originally was going back and forth about doing this post in the first place because the Sephora Collection PRO Contour Kabuki #82 makeup brush has been out of stock for some time now on the Canadian Sephora web site. (It is in stock on the American Sephora site though and on sale for $19 USD from $38 USD!) However, I felt that this is almost an identical dupe with some obvious differences such as the colour of the brush as well as the very bottom of the brush. I do own the brush from the Sephora Collection but I do not own the one from ELF.

Sephora Collection PRO Contour Kabuki #82:
I absolutely love the one from Sephora as the bristles are very soft, and I use it for bronzing/contouring my face as the name suggests. It makes bronzing and contouring extremely easy! You can even go in and contour your jawline. It retails for $48 CAD on the Sephora web site but I was able to get it on sale for $21 CAD. The handle is a perfect size for me and I have so much control when using this brush.

ELF Beautifully Precise Multi Blender Massager:

The bristles are described as soft in the reviews and that it left no brush lines. ELF mentions that this is a premium brush designed for a precise application of many products such as foundation and contour. This retails for $12 USD and received a 4.6 star rating online. Both brushes are very dense and basically the brush does the work for you.

I will definitely link the Sephora Collection brush for you when it does go back in-stock!

My 5 Most Used Eyeshadow Palettes | Affordable & High End

Hey everyone! Many of us have too many palettes in our collection or palettes that have nice packaging, but we never use them. I wanted to share with you my top 5 eyeshadow palettes (both high end and affordable,) that I have used many times as well as even travelled with that I think are worth every penny!

1. Urban Decay Naked Palette - I have had this palette for quite some time now and I still find myself using it! I have packed this in my carry-on many times and there is a great shade range! It retails for $66 CAD on the Sephora web site along with the other palettes in the series with 12 eyeshadow pans. This is the first edition you can honestly do so many different looks with this one palette!

2. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette - I purchased mine when I was in Hollywood and I have hit pan on 3 of the shades! I love that there is a carbon black shade called 'Crave' and that there is one shimmery shade in the palette named 'Venus.' There are two matte shades that you can use all over the lid and they also give you a choice of two matte crease colours. It retails for $36 CAD and you can purchase it at Sephora.

3. Carli Bybel 14 Color Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette - I do have an entire blog post on this where I reviewed this palette and I constantly find myself reaching for this lovely palette! It has 14 eyeshadows and 4 beautiful highlighters that I use in rotation! I packed this with me on vacation several times and it has a nice sized mirror! The shades are great for every skin tone and I can use this when I am on the more fair side or even when I am more tanned. It is very affordable as it retails for $14.50 USD on the BH Cosmetics web site and keep in mind that this is limited edition. Once all the palettes are sold out, there are no more being made and you will have to purchase it on eBay or Amazon.

4. BH Cosmetics Neutral Eyes 28 Colour Eyeshadow Palette - This is also another affordable palette that is sold for $12 USD on the BH Cosmetics web site. As you can probably tell already, I love neutral shades and these pans are quite large which is another bonus! The pans are rather pigmented and you get 28 shades which are perfect to create a plethora of different looks! I purchased this a little over 2 years now and I showed it in my Black Friday + Cyber Monday Collective Haul post.

5. Morphe 35O Eyeshadow Palette - I purchased the palette with both shimmers and mattes because I didn't want a palette that just had one or the other - I wanted both! I am very happy with this palette and I know that it was very hyped up. I say that it does live up to its hype and if you love a great warm toned palette, this one is definitely for you! I purchased mine for $22.99 USD on the Morphe web site. I did haul this in a past blog post where I showed you what items I purchased when I received my very first order online from Morphe.

Let me know in the comments what your most used palettes are!
