How To Style: Camel, Tan, Brown & Burnt Red Together

Hey everyone! As you may already know, I absolutely love fall fashion! Not so much the colder weather, but I love the beautiful colours and the layers of clothing that we can get away with wearing! This is how I would style a fall dress in the colour 'rust' or in more plain terms: a burnt red shade. Duster Coats are all the rage now and I put one over my dress to keep myself warm. You can see that I tied it at the back but if there is a draft, I can just untie it so that I can tie it in the front to block out the cold air from getting in. The camel purse was the perfect accessory along with the heels and the Tiger's Eye choker to tie this look together.

Outfit Details:
Tiger's Eye Choker - DIY Choker
Duster Coat - Sirens Outlet $10
Rust Coloured Dress - Forever 21
Camel Purse - Hope's
Brown Heels - Hope's

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

1970's Inspired Jumpsuit

Hey everyone! I went out to the city (Toronto) for my friend's birthday and wanted to show you my OOTN. I really fell in love with this jumpsuit from the moment that I seen it on the web site. It has a lot of potential and  both the colour as well as the cut of it are unique!

It ties at the top and is a halter-style with another tie at the middle of my back. The pants are quite long but when wearing 5 inch heels it doesn't even touch the floor and I am 5'3".

Outfit Details:
Criss-Cross Halter Jumpsuit - Hope's
Brown Platform Heels - Hope's
Turquoise Studs - Forever 21
Gold Multi-Strand Necklace - Asos
Bracelets: Beaded Evil Eye & Gold Bangle from Alex & Ani

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Winterlicious Friday

Hey everyone! I went to another great restaurant last night for Winterlicious 2016 and wanted to share with my readers what my party had to eat! We decided to venture out to Lee which is located on King Street W. and serves more of an asian fusion style of food. The menu was $45 plus taxes and gratuity.

It was suggested that we order off the fixed price menu (the Winterlicious menu,) and then we order items off the regular menu to share with the entire party. We decided against this in the end, but it is a great suggestion! Above are the appetizers that we ordered which were all delicious and had great flavour profiles. On the left is the Roasted Jerusalem Artichoke & Spiced Hazelnuts, in the middle is the Hong Kong Soya Chicken & Spiced Popcorn and to the right is the Millefeuille of Leek, Wild Cod & Methi.

Our entrees came after and they were everything I expected them to be! To the left is Lee's Slow Braised Beef which was so tender that you didn't even need a knife to cut into it because it fell apart! It melted in your mouth and was garnished beautifully! In the middle is the Mala Szechuan Multi-Grain Crusted Salmon and on the right is the dessert trio. It consists of Spring Roll Creme Brûlée, Hot Apple Strudel (which I found to be rather dry but still loaded with flavour, and Pani Puri.

Outfit of the Night (OOTN):

Outfit Details:
Coat - Bebe (purchased from Hautelook)
Necklace - Hope's
Cropped Sweater - H&M
Black Tank Top Dress - Forever 21
Black Knee-High Boots - Hautelook

I love graffiti! We ended up in a deserted alley that had awesome graffiti so I had to get some photos in!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Next Stop...
We went to Paint Night which is where a group of people come together at a central location (ours was a restaurant in a hotel,) and we were instructed how to paint a beautiful sunset.

After we wrapped that up, we headed to the city to eat some delicious southern food! We went to a place called Southern Accent which is just around the corner from Honest Ed's. We decided to go because it was the first day of Winterlicious and the menu looked appealing. The restaurant is actually inside an old fashioned house which automatically gives it a warm, cozy and welcoming vibe.

As you can tell by the pictures, the decor is very: fun, colourful, eclectic, vibrant, loud, artistic and unique. There are smaller rooms grouped together into one large space and there are stairs because it is a house converted into a restaurant.

For my appetizer, I got the N'awlins Meat Gumbo which was delicious but the dish that they served it in looked like a large ramekin. I was expecting more as in a larger portion but it was very good nonetheless. My friend got the Crab Crostini which was very fresh and light. My friend did order the Kentucky Sweet Tea which you could only taste bourbon and was very strong. Our entire party ordered the Cajun Trio for our main course. It came with a little bit of everything and my only complaint is that there was too much mint on the lamb.

Also, I love collard greens and would have liked some more of those on my plate. The blackened chicken and candied yams were amazing! For dessert, I had the Sweet Potato Pecan Praline Brownie which was decadent and very craveable. I would consider going back JUST for this specific item because it was that good. The other two members I was dining with had the N'awlins Bread Pudding (which was nice but had a lot of alcohol in the bourbon sauce,) and the other friend had the Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream which she enjoyed thoroughly.

There is also a psychic that does readings for 15 minutes that will run you $40. I enjoyed the food here and will be coming back for my dessert in the summertime when the patio is open!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Are You Red Carpet Ready?

Hey everyone! As you know, Red Carpet season is quickly approaching and The Black Tux & I want to make sure that the men are looking equally as stylish as the ladies for the upcoming posh events.

I have created 3 different looks that I would wear on a Red Carpet to compliment my date in a fabulous tuxedo!

Red Hot

When you want to show off some leg in a shorter dress and there is no such thing as too much red for you, well look no further because this is the perfect dress for you! When standing beside your date wearing the Notched Lapel Tuxedo, there is no doubt in my mind that both of you will be on the Best Dressed List! I was inspired by Emily Ratajkowski's Red Carpet look. I purchased this dress about 2 years ago from Forever 21's online site which is a cheaper alternative to hers.

Elegant & Put Together

This dress really compliments the new Velvet Jacket Tuxedo and really incorporates a different texture to keep all the ladies guessing! I wanted to recreate something similar to what Margot Robbie wore and still kept it more of a polished yet interesting look. I paired it with a beautiful three strand necklace and matching heels.

Stylish & Trendy

This navy dress is the perfect length for when you don't want to wear something too short and a floor length dress is out of the question. The cut of my dress was inspired by the lovely Katharine McPhee. I decided to go with a darker navy colour because I generally gravitate towards darker colours. I know the lace-up shoes will get some attention too which was entirely inspired by Halle Berry's Red Carpet look. This dress would definitely pair up nicely with either the Navy Suit (on the left,) or the Midnight Blue Tuxedo (seen on the right side.) A girl can never have too many options so I wanted to extend the same to my male readers.

The perfect accessory to go along with that dapper suit is a nice fur jacket!

Before You Go...
The Grammys are happening on Monday, February 15th, 2016 at The Staples Centre in LA & The Oscars will take place on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

You don't want to miss any of these glamorous events!

Check out The Black Tux for more information and styles, and to get your hands on one of these  fashion forward tuxedos.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.
