DIY Choker - 3 Different Styles for $15

Hey everyone! I have been noticing lately that everyone including the Kardashians have been rocking this fashionable choker circa 1990's. I went on the Urban Outfitters web site and seen that the necklace that I had been eyeing would cost me $22 CAD. I decided to make 3 different chokers for $15 CAD. You can see in the photo below, all the supplies that I purchased came from Michaels.

Choker #1

I will be wearing these shoes tomorrow night when I go out for my friend's birthday dinner and they were my inspiration behind this choker. At Michaels, there is ribbon that the floral department can cut for you if it is indicated on the roll. The smallest amount you can get cut is a half a meter. That is how much this piece is. I am just going to tie it at the back and layer another necklace with it tomorrow night!

Choker #2

I used the thicker ribbon for this and instead of purchasing a backing for the necklace to secure it, I decided to use one of my old necklaces that I no longer wear. You need the two pieces for your choker and I literally just cut the chain with my red scissors. You then have the two pieces you need! It is as easy as that. Also, make sure to measure the choker around your neck and cut off the excess before continuing with the next step.

Next, before you start stitching, I noticed that the ends were fraying more than I would like them to so I took a lighter and burned the ends to stop them from shedding. If you are under 18, please get a parent or guardian to help you with them step. I also did this step for Choker #1. You then are going to want to stitch your pieces to the ribbon. I made the mistake of using a chain with tiny links which made it more difficult to stitch and I had to use a smaller needle so keep that in mind. Once that step is done, connect the two pieces and you can rock your new choker!

When I cut what I needed from the thicker ribbon to make Choker #2, I still had a large enough piece left to make a fourth choker!

Choker #3

This is super easy and I just took the entire 3 yards of fabric, wrapped it around my neck several times and then added a cute little pendant. TIP: There may be kinks in the fabric because it was wrapped around a piece of cardboard. To get rid of the kinks, wrap it around something that is somewhat cylindrical such as a water bottle for a few hours, (I kept it wrapped overnight,) and then you will be free of kinks!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Why I Love Warehouse Shopping | Adidas Warehouse Sale 2016

Hey everyone! I went to the Adidas Warehouse sale a few days ago and even though I waited 2 hours to check-out, I must say that it was worth it! I will start off by saying that I was disappointed in the women's selection of clothing and bought ALL men's clothing because I liked the styles much better.

This first bomber jacket was the only one that I seen and I found it randomly when I was standing in the check-out line. When I got to the cash, there was no tag attached and she gave me this jacket for only $25! The style number on this jacket is AB7671 in-case you are wondering and is in a size small. I love the side pockets and the interior pockets!

Here is the next bomber jacket that I purchased. I knew that I would get good use out of it and I have been wearing this almost every single day! It goes with pretty much everything and I am obsessed with the interior because it is camo! The style number is AB9686. I paid $30 for it and is in size small.

This next jacket is probably one of my favourite items that I bought from the entire sale. It is called a Greeley Insulated Jacket and the style number is S89036. I only paid $50 and it is a size small. They refer to it as a snowboarding jacket online but even though it is oversized, it is very warm and I can't wait to style it!

I also managed to find this zip-up when I was standing in line. I love that it is all black and the stripes going down the side are matte. Another woman asked me if I was purchasing it because if not, she would and I told her that it was mine. I didn't find any others like it and there was a black & white version of it but I didn't like it at all. The style number is AB7770 and is in a size small. Only paid $25 for it. The stripes look more grey on camera but they are in-fact black in-person.

I was honestly debating about this hoodie for a decent amount of time but I am glad that I decided to pick it up. It is extremely warm and I love the detail on it! The hood is what sold me on it. I will be wearing it when I run errands or if I am just hanging around the house on a more chill day. It is in size small and I only paid $25 for it. The style number is AB3527.

I came across this crewneck when I was rummaging through a bin in the men's section and this was the only one that I seen still in the plastic! I pulled it out and knew that I had to have it because it is so unique! It is in size large and will be very oversized but I am okay with that. It is navy and the Adidas logo is a snakeskin print and it continues on the back on the sweater. It was only $25 and the style number is AC0487.

The last item that I picked up was this amazing vest! I was looking for a smaller size earlier in the day when I was at the sale, but I accidentally came across a size small while I was waiting in-line! It was meant to be! There were also other people looking at it, picking it up and putting it down. I quickly grabbed it and I am overall so happy and excited to start styling it! The style number is AB3536 and I paid $25.

I spent over $200 but honestly, think about how much I saved. I didn't think twice about many of the items other than the one hoodie that I had previously mentioned. If I had paid full retail price for these items, it would have been closer to $1,000. I didn't see any shoes that caught my eye and this warehouse sale versus the last one that I went to last year, was more apparel focused which I didn't mind.

I will definitely be attending the next sale and I suggest you do too!  It was at the International Centre in the GTA. It is worth it and remember to go in with an open mind and you won't be disappointed!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Are You Red Carpet Ready?

Hey everyone! As you know, Red Carpet season is quickly approaching and The Black Tux & I want to make sure that the men are looking equally as stylish as the ladies for the upcoming posh events.

I have created 3 different looks that I would wear on a Red Carpet to compliment my date in a fabulous tuxedo!

Red Hot

When you want to show off some leg in a shorter dress and there is no such thing as too much red for you, well look no further because this is the perfect dress for you! When standing beside your date wearing the Notched Lapel Tuxedo, there is no doubt in my mind that both of you will be on the Best Dressed List! I was inspired by Emily Ratajkowski's Red Carpet look. I purchased this dress about 2 years ago from Forever 21's online site which is a cheaper alternative to hers.

Elegant & Put Together

This dress really compliments the new Velvet Jacket Tuxedo and really incorporates a different texture to keep all the ladies guessing! I wanted to recreate something similar to what Margot Robbie wore and still kept it more of a polished yet interesting look. I paired it with a beautiful three strand necklace and matching heels.

Stylish & Trendy

This navy dress is the perfect length for when you don't want to wear something too short and a floor length dress is out of the question. The cut of my dress was inspired by the lovely Katharine McPhee. I decided to go with a darker navy colour because I generally gravitate towards darker colours. I know the lace-up shoes will get some attention too which was entirely inspired by Halle Berry's Red Carpet look. This dress would definitely pair up nicely with either the Navy Suit (on the left,) or the Midnight Blue Tuxedo (seen on the right side.) A girl can never have too many options so I wanted to extend the same to my male readers.

The perfect accessory to go along with that dapper suit is a nice fur jacket!

Before You Go...
The Grammys are happening on Monday, February 15th, 2016 at The Staples Centre in LA & The Oscars will take place on Sunday, February 28th, 2016 at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
