Transitioning A Piece of Clothing From Day To Night

Hey everyone! I wanted to show everyone how easy it is to transition a piece of clothing from day to night. If you have multiple events to go to in one day, don't sweat it! It is easier to do than you think!

Outfit on Left: Day
I went to my friend's niece's birthday party and I decided that I wanted to wear the skirt for the entire evening thus making it my transitional piece.

Details:
Sunglasses - Ardene
Cream Top - Sabo Skirt
Grey Wrap Skirt - Sirens Outlet
White Converse - The Converse Store
Bracelets - Alex & Ani & Evil Eye

Outfit on Right: Night
I decided on a grey and black colour scheme for my night outfit. I added some height to my shoes by picking out a pair of wedges and added a choker to finish off the look.

Details:
Black Choker - DIY Choker
Black Crop Top: Forever 21
Grey Wrap Skirt - Sirens Outlet
Small Black Crossbody Purse - Michael Kors
Black Wedges (Zigi Soho) - The Shoe Company

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Sirens & Bluenotes Haul - Nothing Over $10

Hey everyone! Last week I went to the outlets around my area with my friend and I wanted to show you what I purchased!

All the items pictured above are from Sirens and were only $10 each! The two pencil skirt in the top left corner will get some good use shortly! The zipper on the orange skirt is good quality and really pulls the skirt together! You know that I love camel and this dress is actually my favourite thing that I purchased! It is a halter and is quite long. There is a little cut-out in the back but nothing too drastic. I may wear this for a night out with the girls or at an upcoming Bachelorette party!

The two high neck turtleneck tanks are my favourite! I now own three in total and they are my go-to because they are so comfortable yet fashionable! I was told that there is a white version of this same top and you know that I will be on the lookout for it next time I go back there! Lastly, the striped cropped top I actually put down last time I was at the outlet and this time, they had a whole rack full! That was a sign that I should take advantage and it was now my time to purchase it! It is comfortable but with the ruching on the side, I feel like it does hike up over time and I have to keep pulling it down. Other than that, it is a great crop top!

The two joggers (pictured above,) were only $5 a piece! The black ones are my go-to and my all time favourite! The drawstring resembles a cord and that pattern is continued on the sides of the pants. The second pair is a little bit out of my comfort zone but I feel like I can definitely pull them off with a good pair of combat boots! Both pants are from Bluenotes.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Next Stop...
We went to Paint Night which is where a group of people come together at a central location (ours was a restaurant in a hotel,) and we were instructed how to paint a beautiful sunset.

After we wrapped that up, we headed to the city to eat some delicious southern food! We went to a place called Southern Accent which is just around the corner from Honest Ed's. We decided to go because it was the first day of Winterlicious and the menu looked appealing. The restaurant is actually inside an old fashioned house which automatically gives it a warm, cozy and welcoming vibe.

As you can tell by the pictures, the decor is very: fun, colourful, eclectic, vibrant, loud, artistic and unique. There are smaller rooms grouped together into one large space and there are stairs because it is a house converted into a restaurant.

For my appetizer, I got the N'awlins Meat Gumbo which was delicious but the dish that they served it in looked like a large ramekin. I was expecting more as in a larger portion but it was very good nonetheless. My friend got the Crab Crostini which was very fresh and light. My friend did order the Kentucky Sweet Tea which you could only taste bourbon and was very strong. Our entire party ordered the Cajun Trio for our main course. It came with a little bit of everything and my only complaint is that there was too much mint on the lamb.

Also, I love collard greens and would have liked some more of those on my plate. The blackened chicken and candied yams were amazing! For dessert, I had the Sweet Potato Pecan Praline Brownie which was decadent and very craveable. I would consider going back JUST for this specific item because it was that good. The other two members I was dining with had the N'awlins Bread Pudding (which was nice but had a lot of alcohol in the bourbon sauce,) and the other friend had the Homemade Vanilla Bean Ice Cream which she enjoyed thoroughly.

There is also a psychic that does readings for 15 minutes that will run you $40. I enjoyed the food here and will be coming back for my dessert in the summertime when the patio is open!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

Bluenotes, Sirens and Suzy Shier Outlet Haul

Hey everyone! I did some damage yesterday at the outlets and I wanted to share all my great finds with you! I spent under $100 on everything and I wanted to incorporate a new way of showing you how much I spent on each item instead of having a lot of text. Let me know what you think in the comments down below!

I usually do not shop at Bluenotes, but was pleasantly surprised to find some great items! The scarf is reversible and it was supposed to be 50% off $18 but as you can tell, I got it for MUCH cheaper! It was the very last one and I have been wanting one of these for quite some time! The grey beanie is super soft and fashionable. The socks are warm and will look great with boots. I bought the sports bra to wear with muscle tees or an open back shirt in the summer. Of course, I live in leggings and can never have enough! I bought these to "test them out," and if I do like them, I will go back and buy more because they are super affordable.

The long sleeveless plaid button up shirt is really my style and I will definitely pair it with this inexpensive beanie that I found at Suzy Shier along with my leggings as well as my black combat boots. The middle long sweater is fuzzy and was in the sample section. They sell samples that they want to get rid of for usually $5 or $10 depending on the store. I also texted a number while in line at Bluenotes to get $5 off my entire purchase (when you spend $10 or more,) so that is why I was able to get even further discounts off my items! I digress, but I almost bought an identical sweater online at Forever 21 but for $25 months ago. I'm glad I changed my mind!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle shirt is the EXACT style that I have been looking for all along! I love that it is the retro print and it appears to be resembling the front page of a comic book. I personally am not a fan of the modern day Ninja Turtle designs and also almost bought something similar 1 or 2 years ago on the Forever 21 web site during Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but it sold out before I could check out with it! It is a Men's XL and was the only one in the store, but I had to get it! I have a few ideas on how to style it despite it being way too big for me. I could also cut it but if all those ideas fail, I will just use it as pyjamas!

The black fuzzy coat on the left hand side was an unexpected find. I wanted something that I could wear with my long dresses, yet something that would still keep me warm in the colder months. It was a sample and the last one and the only one for that matter, in the store that I could find. I am trying to get into turtle necks again as I went on a long hiatus from them since I was in middle school or high school. I am obsessed with the camel coloured one because I have many items in my wardrobe that I can pair up with it already and the long grey turtleneck dress looks great with the black coat! On the right, the long navy blue dress and the brown over coat is most likely what I will be wearing to my friend's bridal shower.

Some of the items do look dirty yes, that is because they are in a warehouse and are heavily discounted for various reasons. I will be washing most of my items before I wear them. I just wanted to give you the uncut raw version!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.
