The Body Shop - Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream Review

Hey everyone! I have to start off saying that one of my all time favourite products from The Body Shop is their original Vitamin E Cream. With that being said, I had high hopes for this product and was intrigued to try it because it is night cream.

Claims & Benefits
This Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream has rich wheat germ inside which helps replenish and revitalize your skin while you get your beauty sleep. This claims to intensively hydrate your skin and that it is a rich, nourishing cream which will leave your skin soft as well as smooth. This cream will replenish antioxidant and moisture levels while you sleep and that is when your skin is the most receptive.

Price & 2 Different Sizes
It does come in two sizes: 15 ml of product will cost you $6 and $50 ml of the Vitamin E cream will run you $22. It comes in pink jar and I love the packaging because it is foolproof.

How It Performed
Some other reviews said that they found this cream to be too heavy and greasy to be used during the day time. I would have to agree and will definitely only use this during the night time as the name of it suggests. This would be best to use in the colder months to add moisture back into your face as the harsh weather can often times dry out our skin. It did have a Vitamin E scent to it which I didn't mind at all.

Would I Purchase It?
I honestly don't think that I would purchase this because I love the regular Vitamin E cream that I spoke about previously, and I was constantly comparing both products. If this product felt less greasy on my face, I would purchase it in a heartbeat because I have oily skin and I really don't need anymore than what I already have. This product will be best for dry skin types and I would suggest that you use it at night like the name of the product suggests. I am a huge fan of Vitamin E and would have to skip on this in the future.

Until next time,

The Body Shop - Pomegranate Firming Serum Review

Hey everyone! I had purchased the Pomegranate Firming Serum awhile back and wanted to review it for you because truth be told: I haven't even used it at all until a few days ago!

Claims & Benefits
This product claims that it helps hydrate and soften the skin. That it firms and plumps the skin, as well as softens the appearance of any wrinkles. The Body Shop uses pomegranate seed oil from Turkey in their formula and they say that it is their highest concentration of that particular oil.

Price & Size
This retails at The Body Shop for $34 but I purchased mine for 50% off I believe some time last year. You are getting 30 ml of product or 1 fl oz. The bottle is rather smaller and will definitely not take up a lot of room on your counter.

Overall Thoughts & How I Applied It
I do like the design of the bottle and I love that it comes with a clear pump. Keep in mind that this is a firming serum and this would be targeted to older women or those would want some help in reducing their lines caused by age. I was using this at night before I went to bed and it was a clear, gel-like formula. One full pump was enough to use for my entire face and neck. It initially felt wet on the skin but it absorbed very quickly. It did not feel sticky and it does have a scent to it but it is not a pomegranate smell. My skin felt smooth and plump. I really do like this serum but I'm not the ideal target market for this product and someone who is, will really benefit from this product!

Update: I'm pretty sure that it has been discontinued.

Review on 5 Products from The Body Shop

Hey everyone! I actually featured these items in my Collective Haul and I have been testing them out therefore, I want to give you my thoughts on these 5 items from The Body Shop! They include: 3 Scented Shower Gels, 1 Ginger Shampoo and 1 Banana Conditioner.

Banana Conditioner: I forgot how good this conditioner is and I love using it in the shower! It is not a watery consistency at all, it really does a great job at conditioning my hair and it smells incredible! This is probably one of my most favourite conditioners of all time.

Ginger Scalp Care: This did a great job at removing dirt and build-up from my scalp. It is more of a watery, liquid consistency so keep that in mind when purchasing. I do wish that the formula was more thick because you can end-up wasting a lot of product in the shower when it goes through the spaces in-between your fingers. The ginger scent is amazing and it did help with my dry scalp!

Fuji Green Tea Shower Gel: I actually can't find the exact bottle online anymore as they have redesigned it and are now calling it a Body Wash. The bottle is taller and more narrow with the exact same amount of product inside of it as the one pictured above. The top is now silver and you press down to open the cap. Anyway, this is a very clean, fresh scent and it reminds me of a spa!

Passion Fruit Shower Gel: I absolutely love the scent of Passion Fruit in general and they did a great job at capturing this scent in form of a shower gel. The formula is awesome because it lathers effortlessly onto the skin and makes my skin extremely smooth and soft after use! I'm so sad because I recently typed in Passion Fruit to the search bar online and there were no results! This is one of my favourite scents and it is no where to be found. Not sure what happened there but I hope that they will bring it back at some point!

Early-Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel: The packaging for this particular bottle and scent has changed on The Body Shop's web site. It is now in a different bottle with a clear top and it is an Online Exclusive. It has the exact same amount of product inside though and I'm not sure why they did that but of course, they had their reasons for the change. This is my second favourite scent out of the three and they did a great job at capturing the fragrance in this bottle.

In-case you are wondering, I took photos of the products before I began testing them out! Also, I purchased all of these products for 50% off their original price tag because there was a promotional offer happening on The Body Shop's web site.

The Body Shop's Wonderblur Product Review

Hey everyone! I placed a rather large order from The Body Shop a few weeks ago when they were having their Cyber Monday Sale and almost everything on their web site was 50% off. I recently posted my Collective Haul Video where I showed this beauty product.

Drops of Youth Line & Price Point
Wonderblur is a face primer from their Drops of Youth line. I have tried the Bouncy Sleeping Mask, their Youth Cream and the Youth Concentrate Serum in the past. I did enjoy using all three of the products but I specifically bought the Wonderblur for $12.50 CAD on sale because it was half price.

Product Claims
- A lightweight formula
- Instantly smoothes skin texture
- Visibly reducing fine lines and pores
- Leaving an even, flawless finish
- 12-hour hydration

Size & How To Use
You are getting 30 ml or 1.0 fl oz of product inside a squeezable tube and that was the only size that I could find on their web site. You want to apply the Wonderblur face primer after your moisturizer and before you apply your makeup to either your target areas or all over your face. You want to use a little bit and not too much because if you use too much, your makeup won't glide on as smoothly.

Texture & Consistency
It is definitely more thick than other face primers that I have used in the past. You may have to take some time and not rush to apply this primer to your face. Just because it may look thick coming out of the tube, keep in mind that it is not heavy after all, this is marketed as a lightweight primer.

Wonderblur vs. Benefit's Porefessional
You are getting 0.75 fl oz or 21 g of product from the Porefessional and it retails for $39 CAD.  You are actually getting more from the Wonderblur as it contains 1.0 fl oz and I purchased mine for $12.50 CAD. Benefit's face primer glides right on my face and the formula is oil-free, silky as well as lightweight. It contains vitamin E which helps protect the skin from free radicals. The Wonderblur face primer is formulated with Edelweiss stem cells and is enriched with Community Trade Babassu Oil. It is a more thick formula and is a totally different consistency than Benefit's Porefessional.

Overall Thoughts
I have very oily skin in general and no product will help get rid of my oils, but this did help me not get as greasy as quickly as I normally do. It blends into the skin effortlessly and my my skin feel very soft when it was completely rubbed in. As previously mentioned, the Wonderblur was a fraction of the cost of my Porefessional from Benefit. This is a greater cheaper alternative but I still do love the Porefessional!
