PÜR No Filter Blurring Photography Primer Review

Hey everyone! I was definitely intrigued to try-out this primer on the market. It is different from what I am used to and it claims to do a variety of things!

Claims & Benefits
This claims to be a unique primer that blurs and colour corrects. It also moisturizes the skin and preps the skin for makeup application. It gives the skin a dewy and shine-free finish that makes the skin look radiant. It will give you a picture-perfect complexion and will mask any imperfections. There are micro-pearls inside the formula that aid in colour correcting and there is also vitamin-rich Energy Complex with moisturizing agave that helps prep the skin. There are numerous oils including: Coconut, Olive and Shea.

Where To Buy, Price & Size
You can find this primer at Shoppers Drug Mart or the PÜR website. It retails for $33 USD/$45 CAD for 0.5 fl oz/15 ml of product.

How It Performed, Application Tips & Is It Worth The Money?
I honestly think that this product is expensive for how much product you are actually getting. Most of my primer are at least 30 ml and this is half of that for about double the price. After trying out this primer, I can say that it really isn't worth the money because there are so many other primers on the market that are better and serve the same purpose. I was using a drop of this in conjunction with my foundation and I also tried mixing it in with my moisturizer.

I found that applying the primer after my moisturizer worked better after playing around with this product for a few days. The dropper didn't really work and product wouldn't drop out. I found it easier to just use some from the side of the dropper and you can honestly use this as a highlight on the high points of your face as well as on your body. There is a nice warm, golden sheen to this product. It does have a scent to it but it isn't foul smelling and not overly strong.

The Body Shop's Wonderblur Product Review

Hey everyone! I placed a rather large order from The Body Shop a few weeks ago when they were having their Cyber Monday Sale and almost everything on their web site was 50% off. I recently posted my Collective Haul Video where I showed this beauty product.

Drops of Youth Line & Price Point
Wonderblur is a face primer from their Drops of Youth line. I have tried the Bouncy Sleeping Mask, their Youth Cream and the Youth Concentrate Serum in the past. I did enjoy using all three of the products but I specifically bought the Wonderblur for $12.50 CAD on sale because it was half price.

Product Claims
- A lightweight formula
- Instantly smoothes skin texture
- Visibly reducing fine lines and pores
- Leaving an even, flawless finish
- 12-hour hydration

Size & How To Use
You are getting 30 ml or 1.0 fl oz of product inside a squeezable tube and that was the only size that I could find on their web site. You want to apply the Wonderblur face primer after your moisturizer and before you apply your makeup to either your target areas or all over your face. You want to use a little bit and not too much because if you use too much, your makeup won't glide on as smoothly.

Texture & Consistency
It is definitely more thick than other face primers that I have used in the past. You may have to take some time and not rush to apply this primer to your face. Just because it may look thick coming out of the tube, keep in mind that it is not heavy after all, this is marketed as a lightweight primer.

Wonderblur vs. Benefit's Porefessional
You are getting 0.75 fl oz or 21 g of product from the Porefessional and it retails for $39 CAD.  You are actually getting more from the Wonderblur as it contains 1.0 fl oz and I purchased mine for $12.50 CAD. Benefit's face primer glides right on my face and the formula is oil-free, silky as well as lightweight. It contains vitamin E which helps protect the skin from free radicals. The Wonderblur face primer is formulated with Edelweiss stem cells and is enriched with Community Trade Babassu Oil. It is a more thick formula and is a totally different consistency than Benefit's Porefessional.

Overall Thoughts
I have very oily skin in general and no product will help get rid of my oils, but this did help me not get as greasy as quickly as I normally do. It blends into the skin effortlessly and my my skin feel very soft when it was completely rubbed in. As previously mentioned, the Wonderblur was a fraction of the cost of my Porefessional from Benefit. This is a greater cheaper alternative but I still do love the Porefessional!

The New Generation of Primers

Hey everyone! I feel like non-makeup items that can be found in your local drugstore are going to be big trends for 2016! I'm sure you have already heard about the Nivea After Shave Balm that many beauty bloggers and vloggers have been using on the regular. I can also try that one out if you would like but please let me know!

I decided to pick up the Phillips brand of Milk of Magnesia because I read that is also beneficial for helping to clear acne and is great at helping manage oily skin (I have both.) You can also use it is a cleanser! Of course, this can dry out your skin so always make sure to moisturize!

Yes, it is a laxative but many makeup artists swear by this product. I tried looking for a smaller bottle but this was unfortunately the smallest size. Also, it seems to be quite popular because there was only 1 more left on the shelves! It retails for around $7-$9 for 350 mL depending on where you purchase your bottle at. My bottle is in the fresh mint flavour but there is also a cherry flavoured one too.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.
