Anastasia Moonchild Glow Kit Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I have been trying to get my hands on the Moonchild Glow Kit for nearly a year and I am so excited to share this product with my readers! I was instantly draw to these unique and gorgeous shades. You can really do so much with them and Anastasia has never done me wrong!

Overview & Layout vs. Nicole Guerriero's Glow Kit
This palette is much smaller than the Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit and each pan is 4.2 g in the Moonchild Palette compared to 4.5 g in Nicole's palette. The pans in this Glow Kit are square and they are circular in her palette. The Moonchild Glow Kit font is Holographic which is the same on Nicole's Glow Kit

Shade Range & Packaging
Some of the shades may look similar in the pan but when you swatch each one, they are definitely different from one another. I feel like Lucky Clover is very unique because you don't really see any green highlighters on the market. The packaging is very lightweight and it is made out of hard cardboard with a magnetic closure.

Swatches & How To Apply
These are all very pigmented and they are buildable depending on how strong of a highlight you are going for. My favourite method of application is to dip my finger directly into the pan and then apply it generously over the high points of my face. I then use my makeup sponge to blend everything out seamlessly. I originally tried using a duo fibre brush but that wasn't my favourite way to deposit the highlighter onto my face.

Price & Where To Buy
You can either purchase yours on the Sephora web site or the Anastasia Beverly Hills site. It retails for $40 USD or $52 CAD. Aforementioned, it did take quite some time for this palette to come to Canada and I'm just glad that I was able to get my hands on it!

Final Thoughts
You can have a lot of fun with this palette and it is definitely the most fun palette in my collection! Lucky Clover will be absolutely perfect to use on St.Patrick's Day and it will be travelling with me on my trip that I am taking in the fall due to it's compact size. These fun, metallic highlighters do not look crazy on the skin and you really only see the actual colour of the highlighter when the sun reflects that shade on your skin.

Until next time,

Nicole Guerriero x Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Review & Swatches

Hey everyone! I received my Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit in the mail yesterday and I had to get up a post for you today! I have been watching Nicole's videos for quite some time now and I definitely wanted to support her on her latest exciting project!

Overview
I managed to buy mine on the Sephora App because I received a notification on my phone letting me know that they were having an App Exclusive for 48 hours on February 26th and 27th that ended at midnight.

I placed my order on the 26th and I received it on the 28th which was extremely fast given that shipping was free. I really wanted the Moonchild Glow Kit by Anastasia but I wan't able to get my hands on it and this definitely made up for it and was worth the wait! This highlighter palette is both vegan as well as cruelty-free.

Packaging
The packaging is stunning and there is the sleeve that houses that Glow Kit inside. Nicole's name is holographic while Anastasia's name on the palette is in black. There is also some shimmer built into the palette which ties everything together and gives it that extra special personalized touch. It opens up easily and will stay open if you need it to. It isn't one of those palette that keeps closing on you when you want it open! There is a magnetic closure in-case you are wondering. I like that this palette isn't bulky and it is easy to travel with. I also appreciate that the pans are circular because that is just my preference and I know that the pans in the Moonchild Glow Kit were square.

The Shades & Application
You are receiving 6 beautiful shades that are perfect for any skin tone! They look great on light skin, olive skin and WOC! I think Nicole included a great shade range and I can still use this palette when I have a tan! Also, you can use these shades as an eyeshadow or as a blush topper because they are very versatile!

I have been going back and forth between using a brush and a makeup sponge to apply these highlighters onto my face. I'll update you when I form more of an opinion on either one. Also, keep in mind that you can blend these out or build them up to your liking. There is no right or wrong way to wear these 6 gorgeous shades! My favourites have to be Forever Young and Forever Lit!

Kitty Kat: (She loves her cats!) Pink with platinum shimmer
Forever Young: Pink pearl with silver shimmer (Nicole describes it as a "pink/bronze shade")
Daydream: (Never give up on your dreams!) Coral with white gold shimmer (not too peachy and isn't too pink - the shimmer looks silver to me)
Forever Lit: Platinum with lavender shimmer (A pearly white shade with purple/lavender shimmer in my opinion - Nicole mentions that it is perfect for the inner corner & nose highlight or to mix with the other shades.)
Glo Getter: Champagne with rose shimmer (A pretty rose gold shade in my opinion)
143: (An inside saying between Nicole & her subscribers - It means "I love you") Rose gold with bronze shimmer

If you want some tips on how to apply these, you can check out this Allure article where she talks about her favourite ways on how to apply her highlighters!

Pigmentation & Swatches
The pigmentation is honestly amazing and you only need to pick-up the smallest amount of product with your brush to put onto your face. These are metallic powder highlighters that give your face a ton of luminosity and you can layer different shades together to give yourself a custom shade! When I was finger swatching these shades, the consistency reminded me of ColourPop Super Shock Highlighters. They feel slightly wet as that is how they appear to look on the skin, but they are a powder and they are not chalky whatsoever. They are extremely smooth and easy to work with as they are very blendable. They are not gritty or rough at all. It isn't glittery at all, it isn't anything like the Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body which I swatched in-store and it made me look like a disco ball.

I applied all of these shades with my fingers and there is no base underneath them. I took these photos outside in natural light.

Price, Pan Size & Where To Buy
It retails for $52 CAD or $40 USD on the Sephora web site (depending on where you live.) Each pan is 4.5g/0.16 oz in weight for a total of 27 grams because you are getting 6 shades in this Glow Kit. This is a great value because the pans are slightly larger than the Moonchild Glow Kit and it sells for the same price. I do wish that the pans were sold separately because some people will only want a certain shade and do not want to commit to the entire palette. That is just a minor suggestion but don't get me wrong, I am happy with having the entire palette!

If you didn't get the palette the first time around on the app, don't sweat because it will be available on the Anastasia and the Sephora web site on March 3rd which is one day before her birthday! You can also sign up on Sephora to be notified of when it becomes available online and use that as a reminder for yourself. I believe that you can purchase it in-store on March 15th but I have seen multiple people sharing their palette that they claim was purchased in-store. I think some stores got the palette in early but I could be mistaken.

I also want to mention that this palette is Limited Edition and if you are thinking about purchasing one, I highly suggest that you do because once it is gone, that's it! Nicole did a great job at personalizing this palette yet still catered to many different peoples needs and wants in a highlighter palette! I love this Glow Kit, I plan on using it on a daily basis and I would definitely recommend that you "GLO GET IT!"

The above photo was taken in indoor lighting. Keep in mind, this is how these shades swatched on me and if you have a different skin tone than me, it will look different on you. I am on the more light side right now and I have a yellow undertone to my skin rather than a pink undertone.

Until next time,
