2 Bamboo Sheet Masks | Which One Is Better?

Hey everyone! I recently purchased two bamboo sheet masks and wanted to see which one performed better!

This is a great sheet mask: it smells good and it fits my face well. There is enough extra essence for me to bring it down my chest and down my neck which I like to do. I left this mask on for 20 minutes and it helps bring back moisture to the skin for a dewy look. There is bamboo extract inside the essence and I paid $1.58 for it. My skin drank up the essence and my face felt more moisturized. I would definitely use this again in a heartbeat and it is made in Korea.

The bottom of this sheet mask lifted up a little bit when I walked from my vanity to my bed but I lied down and it honestly wasn't a big deal. There is bamboo extract which reinforces the skin's moisture balance. I brought the extra essence down my neck and also left it on for 20 minutes. After taking off the mask, my skin looked more radiant, more moisturized and it felt firmer. I purchased this sheet mask for $1.41 at the same store that I always go to in Pacific Mall (Markham) and this mask is also made in Korea.

The Winner
These are honestly both great sheet masks and I could use either one. The Innisfree wins by just a hair and that comes down to the comfortability of wearing the sheet mask. Neither one is bad and I will repurchase both again in the future!

Testing Out 3 Shea Butter Sheet Masks

Hey everyone! I am definitely a fan of Shea Butter and picked up 3 sheet masks containing that ingredient to see which one is my favourite!

I ended up trying this mask first out of the trio and I really did like it! It was a little wide for my face but it smelled great! It wasn't dripping in essence and it states on the packaging that it is made by non-bleached fabric which contain cottonseed. This mask I found to be rather cooling and I left it on for 30 minutes. The main purpose is to help add moisture back into the face and I paid $1.41 for a single sheet mask. It is made in Korea and it was comfortable to wear.

This mask looked like it was saturated in shea butter lotion (and smelled like it too,) but I still tried it out. It claims to be moisturizing for dry, dehydrated skin and I left it on my face for 20 minutes. I applied some essence to both my chest as well as my neck. The scent didn't bother me and even though the mask lifted up underneath my chin twice, I smoothed it back down which wasn't a big deal. After I took off the mask, the leftover essence felt heavier on my face than usual and I patted it in then left it to dry for a few minutes. I paid $1.58 for this mask and this isn't amongst my favourites. I much prefer the bamboo sheet mask from this brand more and I don't care to repurchase this specific mask. It is also made in Korea.

Right off the bat, it smelled like lotion, looked like lotion and the mask was very saturated. It looked like lotion in my hair and the mask is too big for my face. It claims to be moisturizing and that it leaves the skin with a luminous glow. Like the other 2 masks, I left it on for 20 minutes and this has to be my least favourite out of the 3. I also have a little bit of a skin issue by the right side of my lower lip and it irritated it like crazy! When I removed the mask, there was so much extra essence and it honestly looked/felt strange on my skin. I paid $1.41 for it and the mask is also made in Korea.

Which Mask Wins?
If you couldn't tell already, the Tony Moly sheet mask wins by a landslide! They didn't use lotion essence in their mask, it didn't irritate my skin and it was the most effective out of the 3. It was comfortable to wear and it definitely added much needed moisture back into my face. I wouldn't hesitate to repurchase this mask in the future!

Where I Buy My Sheet Masks
I purchase most of my sheet masks from a store inside Pacific Mall in Markham and when I go, I definitely stock up. You need to spend over $30 to be able to pay by credit card so keep that in mind. Also, when I went on Sunday, December 3rd, all Tony Moly masks were 12% off and when you buy in bulk, you save more off your purchase. Whenever I do come back here to replenish my stock, the sheet masks do change and the masks are always changing. I suggest that you buy in bulk if you like a particular mask and maybe ask her when your favourite mask will come back in stock.

Until next time,

Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Jelly Eye Sheet Mask | Review

Hey everyone! I had never heard of Clean & Clear coming out with a sheet mask until I seen it in Target so I picked one up to review for my readers! I also featured this in my Buffalo Shopping Haul | Spring 2018 that you should check out!

 Overview & Claims
This face mask claims that it soothes and replenishes the skin. It targets mainly the eye area as signs of tiredness and stress can show up there. This is a hydrogel sheet mask and the jelly is definitely cooling! It locks in the nourishing ingredients as well as moisture which will leave the skin feeling fresh! It is definitely gentle on the skin, it did not irritate my face and it's easy to use. It can definitely be taken while traveling and it does contain seaweed extract which can also help you to destress or wind down at night. It is dermatologist tested, alcohol-free and non-comedogenic. It is recommended to leave on for 15 minutes and I tested this out after a double shift at work!

Price, Where To Buy & Are There Any Others?
I purchased mine at Target for $2.55 USD and this is a single use sheet mask. You can get it in Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart for $3.89. This is the only one that I seen in the store and I know they have a clay mask but it does not come in sheet form.

How It Worked Out & Would I Repurchase?
It had a nice calming scent to it and as soon as I tore open the packaging, I knew that I would enjoy the scent! I like that you can choose to use the eye flaps or leave them down. I personally lay down, put the eye parts over my eyelids and relaxed for a few minutes while working the product into my face. I liked the packaging and overall, really enjoyed using this mask! I definitely would repurchase this in the future and I will make sure that I stock up! It does drip when you take it out of the packaging and there is a film that you need to remove so keep that in mind before applying the mask to your face! I also like that water is the first ingredient and it does remind me of the 2 Neutrogena Hydrogel Masks in a good way!

St.Ives Glowing Apricot Sheet Mask & Soothing Oatmeal Sheet Mask | Review

Hey everyone! I have been a fan of the St.Ives Apricot Scrub ever since I was in high school. When I seen these two new sheet masks, you already know that I snatched them up quick so that I could review them on the blog! I initially featured them in my Buffalo Shopping Haul | Spring 2018.

 Overview & Claims
The St.Ives Apricot Glowing Sheet Mask claims to revive skin for a fresh glow and that it is made with 100% natural extracts. It is also paraben free, dermatologist tested and it is made with 100% cotton. They advise you to leave the mask on for 10 minutes but I left mine on for longer as I was busy writing this review for you and time got away from me! The first ingredient is water and the last ingredient is fragrance (which is a good thing!) The St.Ives Soothing Oatmeal Sheet Mask claims to gently soothes and leave skin soft as well as supple. This is targeted towards those who need their skin soothed and someone who wants more of a calming sheet mask.

Where To Buy, Price & Types
I purchased mine at Target for $2.49 each and I realized afterwards that there is also a St.Ives Revitalizing Sheet Mask making this a trio, but I could not find it at the Target that I was at.

Overall Thoughts & Would I Repurchase?
I found that the St.Ives Apricot Glowing Sheet Mask did actually smell like the Apricot Scrub! Be warned: this sheet mask is SOAKED in essence! I advise you to apply it over a sink because it can get messy really fast! The mask overall I believe was cotton and it was just a standard sheet mask that had the eyes fully cut out. It fit my small face well and it did not move around. When I fully removed the mask off my face, there was still a lot of essence left on my face so I massaged what I could into the skin then I just let the rest dry. The St.Ives Soothing Oatmeal Sheet Mask did not smell like oatmeal at all but it was still fragranced. This too was a messy sheet mask with lots of essence dripping over the counter top. I didn't like this one as much as the other but it all comes down to personal preference. To wrap thing up, I would repurchase the Apricot Sheet Mask but I wouldn't buy the Oatmeal sheet mask again.

Garnier Skin Active The Super Purifying Charcoal Sheet Mask | Review

Hey everyone! The Garnier Super Purifying Charcoal Sheet Mask caught my eye the last time that I was in Walmart and I noticed that it was a new product so I had to try it out!

Claims & Benefits
This claims to minimize the look of pores and it purifies as well as refreshes the skin. Some key ingredients include: charcoal, algae extract and hyaluronic acid. It will help draw out any impurities from the skin and will make your skin feel deeply cleansed. Your face will look fresher and you will have a healthy, radiant glow. After just one use, it will also even your complexion, your skin will look smoother and refreshed. It helps to unclog your pores, your skin can breathe easier and your face will feel purified. After just 1 week, your pores will look tighter and less visible. Your skin will appear to look healthier, less shiny and more refined. This is a black sheet mask and you leave it on your face for 15 minutes. It is non-greasy, free of parabens and mineral oils. These are definitely some serious claims and there are a lot of them! I personally have oily skin so this particular sheet mask drew me right in. The first ingredient is water and I want to point out that the sheet mask does contain charcoal powder.

Where To Buy, Price & Types
I purchased mine at Walmart for $2.95 as it was on rollback and I'm sure you can find this at your local drugstore. It contains 1 sheet mask and the weight is 28 ml. Garnier is known for their Moisture Bomb Sheet Masks that come in many different scents.

Would I Repurchase?
If you're wondering, the actual sheet mask itself is made out of cotton and the essence is clear. It really felt like it absorbed a lot of the product and it had a pleasant scent to it. The eyes were cut out and it fit comfortably on my face. My face felt softer after using it just once and the mask itself is very affordable. I would repurchase it again in a heartbeat and also try out some others from Garnier while I'm at it!

Derma Roller Review

Hey everyone! I just received the Derma Roller in the mail to review! I am very excited to share my thoughts and opinions on this product. I have broken it up in subheadings for you so that it is easier to follow along with all the information that I am about to provide you with.

What It Is:
The Derma Roller uses the Micro-Needling Technique which helps stimulate the skin which in-turn, forms new healthy skin. It uses 200 fine medical-grade needles that you roll over your face which helps temporarily open up your pores. I have taken this directly from the Derma Roller web site and how they explain is, “while your pores are opened, it triggers your body's natural healing process to heal the pores thereby stimulating collagen and elastin production.” It basically helps thicken the skin and really smoothes away those fine lines and wrinkles.

What’s Included In My Package:
- 1 Derma Roller System
- 1 Derma Roller Travel Case
- 1 Pure Derm Sheet Mask with Collagen & Vitamin E
- 1 User Guide

What It Is Used For:
- Wrinkles
- Cellulite
- Scars
- Stretch Marks
- Hair Loss

Choosing A Needle Size:
I went on the Derma Roller web site and looked at the chart to determine what my problem areas were and what I needed help with. I do have some pimples as well as blemishes on my skin and wanted the Derma Roller to help with that, along with a little bit of cellulite that I have on the backs of my thighs. The 0.5 mm needle size does not help with cellulite or stretch marks and that’s what ultimately helped me make my decision about which needle size to get. I highly suggest that you consult the chart before choosing your needle size.

My Thoughts After Using The Derma Roller:
- It really did open my pores!
- I followed the pattern in the User Guide that is recommended when using your Derma Roller.
- I applied the sheet mask after using the Derma Roller and my skin felt very smooth and soft!
- I can see myself incorporating this into my regular skin care routine!

Pros:
- I like that it is small enough to travel with and it comes with a clear travel friendly case.
- This is an at-home product which is very convenient to use and can save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars!
-You typically pay per session when you go to a clinic to get the facial needling done and this is a one time purchase.
- It is very easy and painless to use.
- Cleaning your Derma Roller is very simple and not time consuming at all.

Where To Purchase & Shipping Times:
- It is not sold in stores and you can purchase it on the Derma Roller web site.
- There is a risk-free 60 day money back guarantee.
- I received a shipping confirmation on November 1st and I received my Derma Roller in the mail the following day!

Important Information:
- You do NOT want to share this product with others.
- To really see results, make sure to stick with this product and use as directed.
- It does not hurt but make sure that you do not press the Derma Roller too hard into your skin.
- Make sure you do this treatment only when your skin is clean and dry.
- Because I have the 1.0 mm size, it is advised to only use it once every 3 to 4 weeks.
- You will want to apply a Collagen mask or cream onto your face after the treatment for a minimum of 10 minutes.
- Clean your Derma Roller regularly following the instructions in the User Guide.

Credibility:
- The Derma Roller has been featured on The Rachel Ray Show as well as on The Doctors Show.
- Celebrities do enjoy using this product! The list includes the likes of: Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Naomi Watts and many others!
- It has also ben featured on various well-known web sites.

Until next time,

My Current Go-To Sheet Masks | The Face Shop |

Hey everyone! I have been using sheet masks now for a few years and want to give you some information on them! They are very convenient and you can take them when you travel because they will fit into your carry-on or purse no problem! If you are feeling brave, you can even use them on the plane to add that moisture into your skin that the airplane depletes your skin of.

I have been particularly liking the sheet masks from The Face Shop recently because: they are affordable (the ones pictured above are only $2.00 CAD,) there are a wide variety to choose from, each one serves a purpose for the skin (i.e.. illuminating, moisturizing, etc...) and they are very easy to use as they even have directions on the back of the package.

I use these after I have washed my face. I usually use a nose strip, tone my face and then go in with one of these sheet masks from The Face Shop. You leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then you  discard the mask into the trash. You will notice that there is leftover 'essence' on your face. You do not want to wash that off your face, instead, you pat it into your face to let your skin absorb those beneficial ingredients. I then go in with an under eye cream and go to bed. I generally use a sheet mask once a week.

I have been really getting great results from using these sheet masks as they have definitely helped my skin look more refreshed and awake. They have even helped me deal with some of my pimples! I have been giving away these amazing sheet masks to my friends as gifts because they worked so well for me and want them to have this great experience too! Of course there are a wide variety of sheet masks from various brand names that serve different purposes, but these sheet masks from The Face Shop have been my favourite as of lately.

I have not yet used this 3-Step Programming Kit. Let me know if you have used it and what results you received! The packaging is rather large as you can see in the photo above when my hand is used to show how wide the packaging really is.

I featured this in my September Empties | 2016 blog post!

Until next time,

May Empties | 2016

Hey everyone! This blog post is a few days late and I wasn't sure if I would post it at all because I didn't finish very many products last month. However, I still wanted to get something up for you and decided to post it anyway.

Hair
L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Re-Nutrition Intense Mask - This product contains royal jelly and it is "active serum enriched." It lasted me quite a long time and I really did enjoy using it. My hair felt softer and more moisturized after using it! I would put it in my hair before I would go to sleep, put my hair in a bun and wash it out the following morning. I would definitely repurchase this product because it is effective and it is very affordable!

Face
Classic Clean Sea Breeze Original Formula - This is an astringent and it claims that it 'deep cleans down to the pores' with a 'tingling, refreshing feeling.' I would have to agree. I had previously used the blue formula for sensitive skin and I would have to say that I prefer that one much more!

Life Brand Skin Firming Peel-Off Face Mask in Honey & Caramel - It is free of parabens and it claims to "hydrate and tightens skin." I did notice that it did both however, I did not smell any caramel at all. It is rather on the messy side because it is a peel-off mask. Also, when applying, make sure that you put on a nice evenly coated layer because if you apply it too thick, it will take forever to dry and it will not be fully dried when you decided to peel it off making a very messy situation for you to deal with.

rue beaute! Grapefruit Vitamin Rich SOS Hydrating Face Mask - I actually found that my skin drank up this face mask! It is extremely hydrating like the name suggests and I really enjoyed using it!

rue beaute! Blueberry Extract Emergency Makeover Face Mask - These sheet masks are very easy to use and I enjoyed the scent of this mask!

rue beaute! Coconut Hydration Rehab Your Skin Face Mask - I would suggest checking out these sheet masks because they are only $1.99 USD for one and they do wonders for your skin!

rue beaute! Hangover Ginseng Face Mask - It claims that it is 'soothing and hydrating for even skin.' I love the packaging and the word 'hangover' made me laugh and that is why I purchased this mask in the first place to be honest with you.

Body
Secret Scent Expressions Clear Gel Antiperspirant in Cocoa Butter Kiss - This is a great smelling deodorant but I feel as though I need to reapply throughout the day. I really like the clear formula!

Hands
Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Driftwood Surf - I absolutely love this scent and it reminds me of men's cologne! It is "a blend of: nectarine blossom, ocean driftwood and warm amber."

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Watermelon Lemonade - This scent was decent but I would not repurchase it. It isn't one of my favourites sadly. I wish there was more of a watermelon scent than a lemonade scent to it.

Samples
Orange Naturals MagPop! in Tangy Orange - I received these three samples to review and I always keep it 100 as you all know. I did thoroughly enjoy these because of the convenience factor and also, it is great for taking on the go! The orange flavour is great and you can read more of my thoughts regarding this product.

Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand & Face Wipes in the Citrus Scent - These come in very handy! They don't take up much room in your purse and I even can clean various surfaces using these!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths - I have a lot of individual packs of these and you will see them quite frequently in my upcoming empties blog posts! I adore these wipes and remove all of my makeup!

Benefit Dew The Hoola - My friend gave me this sample to try-out and even though I haven't ever owned the original Hoola Bronzer in powder form, I have swatched it in Sephora multiple times. I can tell you that the original formula is much better than the liquid bronzer. I do not like it because even though it is easy to apply with a beauty blender, it shows up very light on my skin even though I am on the more fair side. I wish it was darker in colour and do not recommend this to anyone with tan skinned or even darker than that!

Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid in Juicy RG50 - My friend also gave my this sample to test and this shade worked pretty well for my skin tone! I loved the formulation and it did not oxidize on me throughout the day. My skin looked flawless and I loved the coverage that it gave my skin! I would say that it is a medium to full-coverage foundation. I applied it using my beauty blender and it looked fantastic! The price tag is a bit steep as one bottle retails for $55 CAD. Also, the finish is more dewy because there is argan oil inside. I would recommend setting it with a good powder before going on about your day.

Stay tuned this week because I have a fun blog post coming out & I will be posting another Project 10 Pan blog post shortly!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.

April Empties | 2016

Hey everyone! Long time no talk! I didn't have enough items earlier in April to do an empties blog post so I waited a few extra days until I finished up some more items.

Hair
Selsun Blue Anti-Dandruff Shampoo - This one with the red label is my least favourite to be quite honest with you. There is only 1% of Pyrithione Zinc which is less than other formulas. I find it to be not as effective to battle my oily/dry scalp.

Oral Hygiene
Equate Flosser Picks (90 Count) - I purchased these at Wal-Mart and they did the job well! They are affordable and do not break while using! I definitely recommend these!

Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste - I am really not a huge fan of this product but what I do like about it is that it comes in the gel formula. It is inexpensive and I have stocked up on these so I must get through them!

Face
Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream for Combination/Oily Skin - This is an item that I purchased at The Body Shop when they sent me a 50% off coupon which I used on this item. I found it to be hydrating but it did not help with my skin type. I would not repurchase this. I did like that it absorbed quick into the skin and I used it in the morning before I applied my makeup.

Hands
Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Oh Snap! - I have mentioned this before and I really can't get enough of the packaging! I am a huge sucker for packaging and aside from that, the gingerbread scent is absolutely heavenly!

Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Vanilla Bean Noel - I have been using this scent for years and love a great vanilla scent!

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Perfect Beach Day - This scent is amazing! On the side of the bottle, it is described as having the following inside, "watery melon, young coconut and sparkling bergamot." I already want to buy another bottle of it! You need to smell it for yourself!

Body
Bath & Body Works Body Lotion in Carried Away - I have known about this scent for quite some time and have repurchased it many times. At first, it can seem rather strong but it wears nicely throughout the day. The notes are: raspberry, white jasmine and vanilla. It is perfect to wear around Valentine's Day!

Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapour Bath - I am a huge fan of Johnson's baby products and wanted to try something new out. I wasn't a huge fan and the formula is quite liquidy. I will go back to my other favourite products from the same brand!

Face Masks
The Face Shop Character Mask - This particular one has brightening properties and it is a fun mask to use! I found my skin to be tighter and very subtle after use! It is paraben free and I will want to use this again in the future!

Life Brand Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask with Hyaluronic Acide & Konjac - It claims to be hydrating and to also smooth the skin. I would have to agree and it was very affordable at Shoppers Drug Mart. They have many different ones to choose from!

Life Brand Brightening Facial Sheet Mask with Ouija & Scutellaria Extract - I have been on a sheet mask kick lately if you haven't been able to tell! This one promotes radiance and brightens your skin. I say that their claims are true and that it is a very easy product to use! You only leave it on for 10-15 minutes.

Samples
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths - I used up 4 of these and they are such great wipes! I will definitely purchase a pack of my own once I am out of wipes!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleaner for Face & Body (All Skin Types) - I finished an entire bottle of this product a few years back and I forgot how much I liked it! It helps break-down my makeup and does not irritate my eyes!

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion for Body (All Skin Types) - Same deal, I went through a bottle of this awhile back and it really absorbs quickly into the skin after a shower! My only issue with these two packets is that you HAVE TO use scissors to open them and I didn't have them close-by which led to much frustration to get it open.

The Face Shop Verbena Soothing Body Cleanser - I was given two free samples at the store with my purchase and the scent was very light as well as refreshing! It was extremely pleasant to use and I enjoyed these samples very much!

L'Occitane Milk Concentrate for Body - This was a great body lotion that I even used on my face! It is lightly fragranced and absorbed quickly into the skin with no sticky feeling being left behind.

Lionesse Gem Skin Care White Pearl Day Moisturizer - This is apparently a $200 skin care item if you buy the full-sized version. It does feel luxurious and did not make my face break-out but I don't like it enough to drop $200 on it.

The Body Shop Oils of Life - It says that it is an intensely revitalizing facial oil. I wouldn't use the word "intensely," but other than that, I would have to agree. I used it at night and my face felt fresh in the morning when I woke up.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth - Youth Cream - I REALLY enjoyed using this cream! It wasn't too thick and really penetrated into my skin. It was so soft the next day and I am wanting to purchase a larger size when I go through my other skin care products! I can't say enough good things about it!

Kaizen Naturals Whey Protein in Vanilla Bean - I want to give a shoutout to this company for sending me a sample of their product! I previously had a bad experience with another brand of protein powder and was skeptical to try another one. I am certainly glad that I did because this one tasted like a vanilla milkshake! I just added the entire packet to my water and stirred for 20-30 seconds are directed on the back. Some benefits are that it is: gluten free, there are no artificial colours or flavours, it is sweetened with Stevia, from grass fed cows and there is low temp filtration. There are 24 grams of protein, only 120 calories and only 1 gram of sugar which is amazing! I had a great experience using it and am excited to see which other flavours they have!

Miscellaneous
Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies with Biotin - These vitamins really need no introduction because I speak about them all the time. Basically, they are my holy grail and help my hair as well as my nails grow long & be strong!

TUMS Antacid Ultra Strength 1000 mg in Peppermint (72 Count) - I have been using TUMS for over a decade and always have some in my purse. They have helped me on numerous occasions as well as my friends! I can't be without them.

Secret Scent Expressions Antiperspirant in Va Va Vanilla - This is in my top 3 favourite deodorants of all time and it is vanilla scented! I can't say no to that!

BIC Soleil Twilight Razors (5 Count) - These are incredible and really help me get a close shave! The only downfall is that they dull very quickly and I find myself replacing them quicker than I would like to.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.
