The Face Shop: Jeju Volcanic Lava Nose Strips Comparison & The Lip Mask Review

Hey everyone! I placed an online order from The Face Shop a few days ago where they were having free shipping on orders of $25 or more and you got an additional 15% off on your entire order. I wish I had waited a few extra days to order because they now have a Simpsons collection out and I am a huge fan!

Aloe Nose Strips vs. Volcanic Ash Nose Strips
You are getting 7 nose strips in each box for $7 and that is basically $1 per nose strip. An easy way to identify each type is to remember that the Aloe Nose Strips are white in colour and the Volcanic Ash Nose Strips are black.

The ingredients initially grabbed my attention and there are more products within the line that you can check out either in-store or online. These strips are meant to draw out any impurities and/or pollutants around the nose area. They are very simple to use; you basically wet your nose with water, apply the strip and then remove it with all the white/black heads coming off on the strip. I used the Volcanic Ash Nose Strip first and I felt like it did do a great job at removing my white heads. Of course since the strip is a darker colour and I have plenty of white heads, it is a lot more noticeable on that strip. It was very effective and I could definitely use it in place of my Biore. It won't completely replace my pride and true, but I can use them interchangeably. The Aloe Nose Strip was indeed effective but my personal favourite is the Volcanic Ash.

Lip Mask
The lip mask retails for $4 on the web site and it is good for 1 use. It is a best seller on their website and it contains Shea Butter. It is a hydrogel mask and its main purpose is to moisturize dry, chapped lips. When I tore the package open, I realized that it was wet and it is my first time trying out this product so I don't know if that is normal or not. Anyway, after applying your skincare, you remove the film on both sides of the mask, press the mask firmly against your lips and leave it on for 10-20 minutes. You can then pat in the remaining product into your lips. There is an expiration date at the bottom of the package so be mindful of that.
Update: I can't find it on their website so it might be discontinued.

This lip mask is meant for people with smaller lips and the top potion fit me well but the bottom one slipped around a lot. It is a hydrogel mask so it is not uncommon for it to do that but my bottom lip is more plump so the bottom part just fit my bottom lip with barely any extra room. I want to mention that I did use a hair removal cream on my upper lip earlier in the day and this mask did cause my upper lip area to sting/burn a little bit but it wasn't anything unbearable. My lips did feel smooth, moisturized and bouncy after taking off the mask. I left it on my lips for 20 minutes and they felt very plump afterwards.

Which One Is Worth The Money?
I wanted to try-out all of these products because there were no reviews about any of these products and I wanted to draw my own conclusions. About a year ago, I tried out 2 different types of nose strips from The Face Shop that they no longer make and I didn't care for either one of them to be completely honest. Overall, I will definitely go back and forth between the Biore and the Volcanic Ash Nose Strips but only buy the Aloe ones if the Volcanic Ash are not available. I didn't care for the lip mask and much prefer using my lip balm anyway.

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY
