Hey everyone! It's time for another Project Pan post where I show you 10 makeup items that I have used up recently!
Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation in 20 Classic Ivory (30 ml) - I actually purchased this at the L’Oreal Warehouse Sale and I have to say that I was impressed with this foundation. It is a great drugstore foundation, it didn’t look cakey on my face. It matched me well and worked for my oily skin. I definitely want to try-out the concealer in the same range!
Update: I think this has been discontinued.
Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Luminous Foundation in 01 Bisque (17 ml) - I wasn’t a fan of this mascara for several reasons. It smelled strange, there is barely any product inside the bottle and the formula doesn’t work on my skin type as it looks way too greasy on my skin when wearing it alone. I do have an entire review on this foundation and the only good thing I can think of is that it comes with a pump.
Update: Target no longer carries this brand of makeup.
L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer in #302 Light (20 ml) - I actually purchased this from the L’Oreal Warehouse Sale and when I finally came across this product in the shade light, I snatched it up! You actually get quite a lot of product in this tube considering that it’s a concealer, but the down side is that they repackaged it and you only get 1.5 ml of product in the tube now. It also creased on me throughout the day hence why I featured it in my Disappointing Products | Volume 1 post. I even tried using this as a foundation which I much preferred!
Update: Pretty sure that this has been discontinued.
The Body Shop Make-Up Setting Spray (60 ml) - I purchase this online when The Body Shop was having a 40% off sale with no minimum purchase required for free shipping. My order glitched and I actually got charged twice for two bottles which isn’t a big deal to me because I know that I’ll go through them. This was just alright and didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. It didn’t stand out from the rest and was just an average setting spray as it did what it was supposed to do which is set makeup. You can check out my dedicated review on this setting spray.
Rimmel Super Curler 24 Hour Mascara (12 ml) - I do have an entire review on this particular mascara and I decided to give it another chance. This is my second tube of it and it will definitely be my last. The wand is too big for my small eyes, I still had to go in with an eyelash curler and it just wasn’t for me.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Mascara in 01 Extreme Black (2.8 ml) -I didn’t like using this mascara as it is clumpy on my lashes no matter how I try to apply it. The wand is too large and thick for my small eyes. I have no interest in repurchasing this mascara nor using it again. It also smudges on me which is another downfall. The only upside is that I purchased this from the Estee Lauder Warehouse Sale for only $4.
Sephora Collection Lash Craft Big Volume Mascara (5 g) - I remember redeeming 100 of my points on the Sephora web site to get this in my online order as a point perk. At first I did not like this mascara, but the more I used it, the more I liked it. The wand is a little big for my small eyes but it definitely gives them volume and I really like how intense this shade of black appears on my lashes. The brush is curved and I do like the packaging. There is also jojoba seed oil which is nourishing for the lashes and helps prevent clumping as well as flaking. It retails for $18 for the full size version as mine is just the deluxe mini.
MAC Zoom Lash Mascara (4 g) - I went on a Google search as I no longer seen this mascara on the MAC website. My assumptions were correct and this mascara has been discontinued and apparently, the False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara is the alternative for this one. I enjoyed the thinner wand to evenly coat and separate my lashes. It also made doing bottom mascara a lot easier! I picked up a deluxe sample size up for $4 at the Estee Lauder Warehouse Sale in the Fall.
MAC Lipstick in Myth (3 g) - This has been a cult favourite for many years now and it is described as a light neutral nude. This is a satin formula and it very comfortable to wear on the lips. I do swatch this for you in my MAC Lipstick Collection & Swatches post that you can check out!
Marc Jacobs Lip Crème in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (1.0 g) - I received this from Sephora as the 2016 Birthday Gift that also came with a black travel mini gel eyeliner. This is described as a baked rose shade and the colour is a little deeper but goes with so many different outfits as it is pretty versatile. I really like the formula as it is very comfortable on the lips and the full size retails for $38 online. There are about 29+ shades to choose from.
Update: The full size retails for $42.
Until next time,
STAY CLASSY
