SampleSource Fall Box | 2017

Hey everyone! I missed out on the Spring box from SampleSource but I was lucky enough to get their Fall box and let's take a look what I got inside of my box!

I honestly got many more items last year than this year and most people got much better boxes than I did. I guess that word is getting around because I seen a SampleSource box in my neighbour's mailbox too! I know that this is a free service and I am grateful for it but I do wish that there were some beauty items this year because I got all food and drink products in this box. My box was shipped on the 26th of October and I received it on the 31st (Halloween!)

You get notified through email when samples are available and they also post on their Instagram as well as Twitter so make sure to keep an eye out there in the future. This is a free service that residents from both the USA and Canada can take advantage of. They also do send out a survey for you to complete after you take some time to test out your products so that they can see how they worked out for you!

I do enjoy Clif bars and can't wait to try out a new flavour. I haven't tried the gummies yet, but they claim to be healthy and there are in-fact, many claims such as being: Low GI, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Natural, Non-GMO, CGMP Certified, USDA Organic, there are 28 grams of fiber, 10 g of protein and 1 g of sugar.

I currently have David's Tea in my house but I have never tried any of the flavours that were sent to me. Also, I am very familiar with Véa Crackers and the only flavour I have not yet tried is the Peruvian Sweet Potato. There are 6 flavours in total currently to chose from. Needless to say, when I was at Sobey's, I picked up that exact flavour and in case you are wondering, one bag there retails for $4.99. The Hummus flavour is great to eat on its own or with some hummus dip and the Andean Quinoa & Spices flavour is great with a side of sour cream to dip into!

Glamour VoxBox | Review & Unboxing

Hey everyone! I was one of the lucky people to have been chosen to get a Glamour VoxBox! I wanted to share with you what I received in my box and give you a review on each product!

LaNeige Water Sleeping Mask (15 ml) -  I have actually used up an entire jar of this sleeping mask before in the past and really enjoyed using it! You apply an even layer to your face before you go to bed and wake up with soft skin. This is good for people with: dry skin, dullness, uneven texture or even fine lines and wrinkles. There are ingredients such as: orange flower, rose, sandalwood, evening primrose extracts, and hydro ionized mineral water. This is good for all skin types, it smells great as the scent is not too strong and I find it to be cooling on the skin! You can find the full size of this product at Sephora for $33 and you get 70 ml of product.

 LaNeige Lip Sleeping Mask (3g) - I have actually been wanting to try this product out for many months now and I'm glad to have finally had the chance to try it out! Similar to the Water Sleeping Mask, you leave this product on overnight as the main goal is for the product to really skin in and hydrate your lips. It's good for those with really dry lips and also for fine lines. In my opinion, it smells like candy and it goes on clear - it is not tinted. There are many great ingredients found in this lip sleeping mask such as: vitamin C, antioxidants, berry mix complex (various berries,) and they use moisture wrap technology. When I first used it, I noticed that the ingredients were very nourishing and didn't wear off as quickly as some of my other lip balms I apply at night tend to do. My lips felt more hydrated and were softer the next day when I woke up. This is definitely a yes for me and I will continue to use it going forward! You can also find the larger size at Sephora where you can get 20 grams of product for $26.

Burt's Bees 100% Natural Nourishing Mascara in Classic Black (11.5 g) - I have been intrigued to try their makeup line but haven't really had to chance to do so until now! It claims to give you visibly longer lashes and definition instantly. It also says that it is long-lasting and the mascara is infused with jojoba oil - it is 100% natural. It also contains glycerin that help to nourish the lashes and it's gentle enough for use around the eye area. At first when I pulled the mascara out from its packaging, I thought that it would have a brown formula as the tube is brown. To my surprise, my shade was in classic black which I much preferred. It did lengthen my lashes and it did not flake on me throughout the day is something that I personally look for in a mascara. I don't really have any cons other than the price of this mascara as it performed well on my lashes and it did what it claimed to do for the most part. I also like the applicator as it's just a plastic wand that allows me to easily coat my bottom lashes with it. It retails for $13.99 at well.ca.

 Le Petit Marseillais Mandarin & Lime Body Wash (2 x 10 ml) - Again, this is another product that I have tried out in the past and really enjoyed using! Lime is one of my all time favourite scents and if it comes in form of a body wash: I'm all about it! This lathers very well in the shower and each sample contains a generous amount of product that is great for travel. The formula does not dry out my skin, leaves my body feeling refreshed as well as super clean and there are many other scents to choose from online! The full size version of this body wash retails for $7.46 at well.ca and you get 400 ml of product. I also appreciate that it came with a $2 off coupon for my next purchase of a body wash from the brand!

Chick Advisor Showcase At Home Kit | Unboxing 2018

Hey everyone! Tickets sold out so quickly for the Chick Advisor Showcase in Toronto this year and I'm glad that they were offering an At-Home Kit! Salma's Oven Baked Corn Crackers Unboxing & Review

Hey everyone! I wanted to share an unboxing and product review on my first box that I received from ChickAdvisor. I'll be talking about Salma's Oven Baked Corn Crackers that are made with 4 ingredients.

Benefits

These crackers are: oven baked, made with only 4 ingredients, there are no artificial colours, they are Gluten-Free, Non GMO and are a great light snack. There is a light crisp texture to them and 3 crackers are just 70 calories. There are no trans fats and no saturated fat. There are 0 mg of cholesterol, 0 grams of sugar and only 1 gram of fat per 3 crackers or 1 pack.

This is marketed as a new product and there is just a pinch of salt added for flavour. This is a great snack to take with you to work as the crackers are individually packaged in groups of threes, you just have to store them in a way for them not to break while you are transporting them. Another great benefit is the packaging which is made with 100% recycled fibres and it is after all, 100% recyclable once you are finished with the box.

Taste

They have really perfected the recipe and these crackers will have you wanting more! They are crispy, light and truly delicious! This was something that I would look forward to eating and the best part is that I was able to share it with my family members who also loved snacking on them! These are a great alternative to other snack foods and the best part is that they are super healthy!

How I Eat Them

 There are various toppings that you can add on top and as pictured below, I like to spread a layer of Roasted Red Pepper Dip on mine and then I finish it off with a few sprinkles of Cayenne Pepper for some added spice!

You can also add some Hummus on your crackers or even some tuna! The options are truly endless!

Would I Purchase?

I would definitely purchase them after I run out of the current box that I am currently eating. You are getting a total of 8 packages of crackers inside one box and that retails on the Wal-Mart web site for $3.98 CAD which is very affordable. This is a great product and I am not just saying that because I was sent this box. #GotItFree I am excited to come up with different ways to enjoy these delicious crackers and I want to hear in the comments down below, how you eat your Salma's Oven Baked Corn Crackers!

SoundPEATS P2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker Unboxing & Review

Hey everyone! I don't know about you, but when I am putting on my makeup, having my laptop on my vanity playing music is not very practical! I have since saved a ton of room and now taking its place is my SoundPEATS P2 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker! It is also great for those long bike rides because you can attach it right onto your bicycle! I have been testing it out and want to give your my thoughts on it!

What's In The Box:

- One P2 Speaker

- One 3.5 mm AUX Cable

- 1 Micro USB Cable

- 1 User Manual

Pros:

- It takes up very little room and it will fit effortlessly into my purse.

- It is great to travel with!

- The is a strap attached to the speaker which I love!

- This connects faster through my phone than any other speaker that I have ever used!

- It makes a pleasant sound letting you know that you have turned on the speaker and again when you have paired the speaker to your device of choice. It appears as 'P2' on your device.

- On the speaker itself, you can: control the volume, pause or play the song, skip to a track and turn it on or off.

- It is very affordable retailing at $30.99 CAD on Amazon.

- The P2 Speaker is mainly black and you get to choose the accent colour which is either green or blue.

- Shipping was very fast! 

Features/Benefits:

- Water Resistant

- Wireless

- Rechargeable battery with 6+ hours of playback.

- It comes with two cords which make charging the P2 Speaker very easy! It will be red when it is charging and when it is finished charging, it will turn green.

- There is an LED Indicator Chart in the User Manual that you can refer to for easy reference.

- X-Bass feature. I love the bass!

- It can be quite loud at maximum volume which is something that I do appreciate! Some speakers are too quiet for my liking even at max.

- There is a Bicycle Screw Connector located at the bottom which is such an awesome innovative feature that cyclists in Toronto especially will be thankful for!

- This speaker remembers the last device that it paired with and it will automatically reconnect when they are both turned on instead of searching for it again each time. This has happened to me with some other Bluetooth speakers that I have used in the past which can be frustrating, but not this one! 

- 10 metres working distance. I tested this out and it the music still played when the speaker was further away, it just was slightly distorted. Nothing too terrible sounding though.

- There is a built-in microphone that can answer any phone calls hands-free. I have tried this feature and it does in-fact work! It was awesome to find out that this speaker offered it!

When & Where I Use It:

- When I am applying makeup, I like to have it nearby and I place it on my vanity.

- You can take it with you when you are: camping, on a bike ride, at the gym, at the beach or at the pool, picnics, on a walk or a hike. 

- You can bring it to a party you plan on attending so that you can share some great music with your friends!

- You can use it pretty much anywhere you can imagine because it is very portable as the name suggests! 

Overall:

I really do like this SoundPEATS speaker and there are some great features! I believe that it is worth the price retailing at $30.99 CAD on Amazon. It has a 5 star rating over there and feel free to check out some more ratings over there! I love how small and lightweight it is! It is very easy to travel with and I will for sure bring this with me when I travel as well as maybe even to work! I always carry an external power bank with me that I can easily use to charge this speaker if it ever does run out of battery!

If you read my blog posts, you know that I am always very honest in my reviews and I will never speak about a product in a positive light that I don't enjoy. With that being said, I have NOTHING bad to say about this speaker. I can't think of one single con because I really do enjoy using it! I have used many different speakers in my life both Bluetooth compatible and others that were not. With that being said, I have many to compare this to and this is a great Bluetooth speaker in general!
