Skindinavia - The Makeup Finishing Spray Review & Thoughts

Hey everyone! Today's topic will be on a new makeup setting spray that I have been trying out lately. It's by Skindinavia and I purchased the oil control one because I have combination skin that's more on the oily side right now due to the hot summer weather!

In case you're wondering, it is a fine mist that is oil-free, cruelty-free, hypoallergenic and paraben-free. It comes in 0.66 fl oz (travel size,) 4 fl oz (medium size what I purchased for $29 USD,) and 8 fl oz (large version for $39 USD.) The Makeup Primer Spray and The Makeup Finishing Spray displayed above, are both 0.66 fl oz and were free gifts with my purchase of the 4 fl oz bottle. There are also bundle packages for sale on their web site so be sure to get that out to save yourself a few extra coins!

What I like about this product is that it is an anti-shine formula that absorbs quickly and prolongs the longevity of your makeup! It really helps it stay in place without melting off. It does not feel sticky on the face and is very easy to apply. If you are wondering how to apply it, there are directions on the back of the bottle instructing you to "spray 2-4 times in an X and T formation" after giving bottle a good shake.

The only con is that you can only buy it at: makeup shows, their web site or Amazon. It is not sold in retail stores. It is a great item for using in your kit if you freelance and there is another spray that is specifically designed for brides!

I would recommend this setting spray to you because it has brought me great results! I need to try out the primer a little bit more before having a final opinion on it.

Tip: Shake well before you use the product so all the ingredients are activated when spraying the product on your face!

Thanks for stopping by!

STAY CLASSY.

Battle Of The Setting Sprays

Hey everyone! Today we will be talking all about three different makeup setting sprays! I have been using setting sprays for a few years now and wanted to share some points with you!

ELF Makeup Mist & Set - $3.00 USD (2.02 fl oz)

Pros:
- Inexpensive
- Moisturizing
- Lasts all day
- They fixed the nozzle from where the mist comes out of and now, it evenly disperses on the face when you press down
- Holy grail item!

Cons:
- One bottle lasts me anywhere from 1 month to a month and a half
- Can be hard to find in stores!
- The scent isn't that great

Pros:
- Gives a matte finish to the skin
- Lightweight formula
- Easy to apply and is effective
- Doesn't break out my skin
- Is suitable for wearing outside when it is humid (it tends to hold up most of the time)

Cons:
- The nozzle can be improved as it tends to squirt out sometimes
- The black packaging really gets dirty when applying makeup! (as seen in the photo above)
- The smell of the actual product can be improved

Pros:
- Gives a matte finish
- Long lasting
- Award winning
- There is a nice variety of setting sprays online to choose from depending on your skin type
- Makeup artists use this product as it is reputable

Cons:
- A more expensive setting spray
- Can only buy online or makeup conventions (IMATS & others)
- I find myself still needing to touch up sometimes throughout the day

Overall
I tend to use my ELF Makeup Mist & Set before I go to work or when I'm running errands. I like to use my Skindinavia Oil Control Finishing Spray for special events or when I'm going out at night. It feels luxurious on the skin and it makes me feel good! As far as the NYX Matte Setting Spray, I use it here and there but I find myself reaching for the other two sprays more often. I just hate how dirty the packaging gets after I blend my foundation and reach for it, it gets filthy! Just my personal opinion.

Tip: Spray your face after you apply all your face products and apply mascara after you spray! If you spray your face at the very end of your entire makeup application and the mascara isn't waterproof, it can ruin your eye makeup giving you racoon eyes when it runs underneath!

Until next time,

STAY CLASSY.
