Christmas 2016 in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays Everyone! 

I went over to my cousin's house this year for Christmas where he and his lovely wife hosted Christmas. Their white tree was beautifully decorated and the food was delicious!

We first had some appetizers and drinks. We have Spinach Dip with Pumpernickel Bread every year as a tradition!

This dinner table was decorated very elegantly and we first started off with Butternut soup that was made with Coconut Milk! The crackers were almost too pretty to pull apart! I didn't take a picture of the turkey unfortunately because I was starving and ate my food rather quickly.

Right after the main course, we went straight in for dessert and as you can see, there was a wide variety of sweets to choose from! The picture below is the Clark Griswold Moose Mug that my Dad received as a present which is from the movie, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. There is a scene of him drinking from one in the movie. If you haven't seen it already, I highly recommend that you watch that movie because it is hilarious!

This is how the CN Tower in Toronto looks like at night time during the Holiday Season and I captured this shot when I was standing right at the bottom of it. I see the CN Tower so often that I don't usually take photos, but I wanted to show you in-case you haven't seen it before. They change the colours depending on different holidays or events that are happening in and around the city.

Holiday Cookie Decorating & Christmas Candles

Hey everyone! If you are anything like me, you love the holidays and enjoy baking delicious treats as well as burning your favourite holiday fragrances around the house!

I have included a photo of 5 Ugly Sweater Cookies that I had a lot of fun decorating! The brown, white and blue cookie to the far right shows a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree with one blue ornament. I couldn't write too much text on the cookies because there wasn't enough room so I decided to keep it short! 

My mom makes a Cherry Chip Cake every year around Christmas and it is absolutely delicious! I wanted to show you how it looks inside! She actually does cut the Maraschino Cherries into small pieces (which can be rather tedious,) but the results speak for themselves!

My mom went the more traditional route and decorated a Christmas tree as well as two snowmen!

The holidays wouldn't be complete without warm and cozy scents from Bath & Body Works! Flannel is my new favourite scent that is more on the masculine side. Roasted Chestnut & Cherries is not a scent that I would have picked up myself, but I really am enjoying it! Marshmallow Fireside is a warm scent and the labels on all three are decorated beautifully for the holidays! 

 I just love the silver tops of these two candles which feature a Christmas tree! I purchased these two candles for $10.50 each from the Biggest Candle Event of the Year at Bath & Body Works a few weeks ago.
