Hey everyone! Let's check out all my empties for the month of November!
Face
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil (20 ml) - I put this under the face category but there are honestly so many uses for tea tree oil. I do have a
blog post dedicated to it. You can apply them on pimples or put it in your scalp to stop it from being dry and/or itchy. I used this in conjunction with my baby shampoo to clean my makeup brushes which also helps to disinfect them. This bottle lasted me a long time and I suggest you wait for a sale at The Body Shop before you purchase as they have sales quite often.
Bioré Nose + Face Deep Cleansing Pore Strips (14 count) - I went into my local Walmart on Sunday night and it was a zoo. The machines apparently were down the day before, people were all down the aisles and they were out of stock of other items I wanted to carry. This was the only type of pore strip that was in stock as everything else was out of stock. You get 7 nose strips and 7 face strips. They changed up the packaging and I used to buy this before in the past.
Fourth Ray Mellow Milk Mist (122.75 ml) - I purchased this from the Colourpop website and wanted to try out the heavily promoted brand. I would have to say that this product is my least favourite out of the 4 that I ordered. The writing is coming off on the bottle, the sprayer kept getting jammed which I managed to fix a few times, the droplets went on my face and there was a milky substance on my face that I had to pat with a beauty blender. I didn’t care for the product at all and would never recommend or repurchase it.
Bath & Body Works
Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Coconut Pumpkin Latte (259 ml x 2) - I can’t find this on the website anymore but I did pick it up this year. It has notes of: coconut cream, whipped pumpkin and warm praline. This is a great fall scent and I love the packaging!
Body
LUSH Outback Mate Soap - I went to a LUSH event where you were able to create your own bath bomb. It was a fun experience and I browsed the store after and decided to pick this up. It includes: eucalyptus oil, lemongrass oil and peppermint oil. The vibrant blue colour stood out to me which I thought was very fun.
Hair
L’Oréal Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum Leave-In (100 ml) - Honestly, this was just alright. I would apply a generous amount and it would only cut down the frizz. My hair is very frizzy and this just helped to reduce the frizz. I don’t know if I would purchase it again and towards the bottom of the bottle when the product got low, it stopped pumping out. I had to unscrew it to get the product out which was annoying.
Miscellaneous
Johnson’s Calming Shampoo (600 ml) - I honestly prefer the purple formula and I really like the new packaging with the pump. The old packaging didn’t come with a pump and often got super messy to use. You get way more product inside the new bottle and it lasts a long time! I use this to clean my makeup brushes mainly.
Vitamins/Supplements
Equate Time Released B12 1,200 mcg (180 tablets) - This bottle lasted me about 6 months and it is only $13 at Walmart. This is the best bang for your buck and I noticed having more energy throughout the day. I will continue to repurchase these in the value size container.
Promo/Samples - Face
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Fluid Lotion (3 ml) - This claims to be an ultra-light formula which I agree with and I appreciate the fact that there is no white cast. It layers well under makeup and people often forget to wear sunscreen in the colder months but it is so important to! This is more of a watery consistency which I don’t mind and it is great for every day wear.
Body
Ouai Melrose Place Eau De Parfum (1.5 ml) - I got this as a sample with my Sephora order and I tried to like it. The notes include: bergamot, lychee, cedar-wood and white musk. This is a floral perfume and I try to give them a chance even though they are not my go-to. I just got tired of the scent and I know scents are personal which end up smelling different on each person depending on their body chemistry. It also doesn’t have much lasting power once applied on the skin.
Bad Dad Tea (2 g) - I was at a convention and came across this booth which I wanted to quickly write about. The branding and marketing was so good which I verbally told them. It made me stop and the graphics are truly eye-catching. Not to mention that the black tea I tried was very good! Each sachet comes inside a different graphic which is so fun! Even on the string of the tea bag has the Bad Dad Logo at the end which is such a clever touch.
Quick Strip Fast Acting Melatonin (10 strips) - This has a mint flavour when you put it in your mouth but what I didn’t like is that there is a weird almost metallic taste once it goes under your tongue. 1 strip has 5 mg of melatonin and there is 1 calorie per strip. There is no sugar, it claims to be fast acting which I find to be debatable and this is meant to be used as a sleep aid. I am not totally convinced and I wouldn’t purchase these on my own.
Quick Strip Fast Acting Vitamin B12 (5 strips) - These were decent and I also got these for free at an event. 1 strip equals 1,000 mcg of B12 and it is cherry flavoured. It also left a weird metallic mouth until it dissolved under the skin. I wouldn’t purchase these on my own.
Well Told Health Energy Vegan Capsules - I got these at an event for free as they were handing them out. These are vegan and use organic ingredients. You are supposed to take 2 capsules once a day and I did not get the jitters from this product. I felt that it worked just alright and I would not pay $30 for a full size bottle of it. There are more affordable products on the market.
Until next time,
STAY CLASSY
