Hey everyone! Today I will be sharing with you, all the products that I used up for the month of May and my opinions on each one!
Face
Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser - I really enjoyed this product! It removed all my makeup and the bottle lasted me a long time!
Up & Up Dual-Treatment Moisturizer (Oil Free) - Claims that it is an acne medication lotion with salicylic acid. Clears up pimples and moisturizes dry skin. It was a very basic and very standard moisturizer. It didn't do anything out the ordinary and it helped keep my pimples from getting out of control but I wouldn't say that it cleared them up.
Nair Moisturizing Face Cream - Hair Removal - Love this product, it's my holy grail. I have repurchased several of these throughout the years and am already on my new bottle.
Ardell Edgy Lashes in #402 Black - It claims to be: lightweight, easy to apply and comfortable. I would agree with the above claims and really got a lot of wear out of these lashes. I bought them on sale and definitely got my money's worth out of them!
Hands
Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Cucumber Melon - Very fresh and clean smelling. Great to use in the kitchen or the washroom.
Bath & Body Works Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Sweet Clementine (Fresh Picked Collection) - This was a great scent and they really captured the clementine scent and I would definitely repurchase! On the side of the bottle it reads: 'experience the perfect balance of sweet and tart that only clementines can offer.'
Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Winter Cranberry - This was a nice scent but I grew tired of it after awhile and I'm not sure if I would repurchase it. On the side, the scent is described as: 'frosted cranberries sprinkled with iced peach.'
Bath & Body Works PocketBac Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel in Paris Amour - I really loved this scent and received many compliments when I wore it. I actually would consider purchasing other Bath & Body Works products in this particular scent! It did indeed leave my hands feeling very clean! It claims to be a: 'powerful germ-killing formula enriched with Tahitian Palm Milk. Leaves hands feeling clean and virtually germ free.'
Body
Elizabeth Grant Natural Hand Soap/Shower Gel/Shampoo - I hated this product! I found myself going through it quicker than expected and it didn't do anything for my skin. I only used it as a shower gel and would never use it on my hair as a shampoo like it recommends! Also, there's no way that this could be a hand soap!
Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Stress Relief Body Bar in Eucalyptus Spearmint - This is a larger bar of soap and I would recommend cutting it in half or even in quarters to get more use out of it. I however, used the entire bar of soap on my body and I found it to be too bulky and difficult to hold. I did however like the scent and the formula of the bar soap!
Gillette Satin Care Shave Gel in Alluring Avocado (with Aloe Aroma) - I have been using this brand for years and always like to try out new scents from them. This scent was pleasant but I wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase it.
Vitamins
Nature's Bounty C-1000 MG with Rose Hips (100 Coated Tablets) - On the bottle it says that these vitamins are a factor in the maintenance of good health. During the winter months and the majority of spring, when I was taking these vitamins in conjunction with Emergen-C, I rarely got sick and before taking these two very effective products, I kept getting sick. These are my go-to products and will continue to up my vitamin C intake during the colder months from now on! You only need to take one tablet per day and they are very easy to swallow.
Nature's Bounty Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc with Vitamin D3 (200 Caplets) - This claims to help maintain bones and I was taking this in the morning before I ate and they were too hard on my stomach. I started taking them while I was eating lunch and that really helped. I recommend taking these with solid food. I am already on my second bottle of these. I know a lot of people are deficient in magnesium and this is a great supplement to take to boost it up. The only con is that you need to take 3 daily and they are ugly white pills. Just get past that and you'll be fine!
Samples
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - This claims to be, 'Bigger, Blacker, Badder.' Here's the thing about this mascara: I enjoyed it after the formula dried up a bit. The second month of using this mascara was when I found myself really enjoying using it! I didn't care for it during the first month because the formula was too wet for my liking. Not sure if I could commit to the full size though.
Dolce & Gabbana The One (Eau de Parfum) - When I tried this sample, I knew that I had to go out and buy the full sized version. I bought it before I even finished this smaller bottle. It smells amazing and I urge you to go and smell it in stores whenever you can!
Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel (For All Skin Types) - It says on the packaging that it removes makeup, dirt and oil without drying your complexion. Non-foaming and formulated with papaya and grapefruit extracts to provide mild exfoliation. This product didn't do it for me because I need a cleanser that foams and this doesn't. I didn't feel that it was cleansing my skin deep enough either. That's just my personal preference and I'm sure that other people will love this product!
Mario Badescu Special Cucumber Lotion (C & O Skin Types) - On the packaging, it reads that it is a cucumber infused toner with cooling astringent properties. I applied the product on a cotton round and it was interesting to see the green colour appear on it before I applied it to my face. Don't worry though - it won't appear green on your skin; it absorbs very quickly and no green residue will be visible.
Mario Badescu Collagen Moisturizer with SPF 15 (C & S Skin Types) - I thought that this was a great facial moisturizer for every day use. I would definitely consider purchasing the full sized version! It also protects your skin from harmful UV rays which is another bonus!
Yves Rocher Luminosity Reactivator (Elixir 7.9) - I used up 3 of these samples. When I applied it, it was not sticky at all and I used it before I went to bed. I didn't notice any dramatic results but I only used it for three days so it was hard to tell. They use Light-Botanical Technology which is an interesting read if you're interested!
L'Occitane Light Comforting Cream - It claims to be a non-greasy texture with shea butter and helps treats many different skin types. I used up 2 of these samples and I agree with the fact that it is non-greasy. I can't speak to the fact that it is good for different skin types because I only used it on my skin type which is combination. It is very hydrating and I enjoyed using this item. There was a lot of product in the sample and I was able to use it twice in a day. Once during the day and again at night on my face as well as down my neck.
L'Occitane Hydra Vital Cream (New Formula) - It claims to be a velvety cream with 48 hour hydration. It was nice to try this but it really didn't stand out to me. I would use it again, but this sample didn't sell me on trying out the full size version.
L'Occitane Precious Cream (New Formula) - Again, I enjoyed using this sample but it didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I don't know how they improved the formula so I can't speak on that unfortunately.
The Face Shop Oil Drop Anti-Aging Serum - I received this sample when I was in the mall when they were handing them out. Since I ran out of my full sized version of my moisturizer, I have been using up all my samples of any product pertaining to the face. I enjoyed that it was an oil and did absorb rather quickly. I have never heard of this product prior to being handed a sample of it. Overall, I'm not sold on it just yet.
Thanks for stopping by!
STAY CLASSY.
