Photoshoot in Peterborough & Dancing Blueberries

Hey everyone! This past Sunday, two of my friends and I went to Peterborough for a little adventure. It is winter time here, but that didn't stop us from exploring another area in Ontario! We ate some great food, did a bit of shopping, met up with another friend who is a local, and she was nice enough to show us around! We went to see the Lift Locks, the Peterborough Overlook and we feasted at Dancing Blueberries.

Lift Locks

"The Peterborough Lift Lock was designated a national historic site of Canada because it is the highest hydraulic lift lock in the world."

"It is a large concrete structure along the Trent-Severn Waterway designed to lift boats 19.8 metres."

"The lock operates on a balance system, whereby water is let into the upper chamber, a connecting valve is opened and the heavier chamber automatically descends, forcing up the lower chamber to start a new cycle."
