November Empties | 2014

Hey everyone! As you can tell from the photo, I have gone through quite a few products this month. Like always, I will give you a brief review on how I found each product to be. I have categorized the products for you.

Hair

Organix Quenched Sea Mineral Moisture Shimmering Weightless Moisture Replenisher - I really enjoyed this product. I have wavy hair and it really helped me achieve that perfect 'beach hair.' If you use just enough of the product, it does not feel greasy and does not weigh down your hair.

Tresemme 24 Hour Body Shampoo - I did not like this particular shampoo at all. I felt and saw no improvement of the condition of my hair at all. I could not wait until this bottle finished. Sadly, I have another one that I need to go through still. The only pro that I can think of is that it is very cheap to buy.

Face

Nair Moisturizing Hair Removal Cream + Face & Upper Lip - I have gone through half a dozen to a dozen of these throughout the years. Holy grail item.

Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips - This is my second box of these. I really find these to be effective and I buy them so that I am able to share with my brother who also uses them from time to time.

Studio 35 Beauty Cleansing Towelettes Wet Facial Wipes - I bought these at Walgreens on sale for $2.00 and really did not have high hopes for them. Let me tell you that I absolutely love these wipes and probably my new favourite! The sad part is that I do not live in the USA so next time I am at a Walgreens, I am stocking up.

Olay Fresh Effects As Fresh As New! Exfoliating Wet Cloths - Did not care for these. In my opinion, the exfoliating part is unnecessary.

Make Up

ELF Make Up Mist & Set - Holy grail item. You probably see one of these every month in my empties blog posts.

Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder in 320 Honey Beige - This product lasted me a long time. It offered good bang for your buck. Not sure if I would repurchase but it worked just as I had expected it to. Nothing more and nothing less. A very standard powder.

Hands

Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in Coconut Lime Verbena - I have gone through one of these in the past and I simply adore this scent!

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Honeyed Nectarines [Artisan Market] - The scent was decent, would not repurchase though.

Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soap in Brown Sugar & Carrots [Artisan Market] - This is by far my favourite fall scent! My only regret is not buying this particular scent in bulk when I first smelled it in stores!

Nails

Quo Nail Polish Remover [Strengthening] - A Canadian brand, it did the job and the bottle lasted me a decent amount of time.

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Color + Red Red [414A] - Love the colour and I used up the bottle up. 

Body

Victoria's Secret Love Spell Cherry Blossom & Peach Hydrating Body Lotion - Often times, I would get compliments on the scent of this lotion but I would not go through another bottle of this. Just my personal preference.

Ulta Moisture-Intense Body Butter in Luscious Pear - The pear scent is very pleasant and the formula is perfect for the colder months here in the GTA.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion  - A great lotion for every day use and it is not scented.

Samples

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic - This scent was really not for me. Not for my liking.

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light - I used this on my face before bed and I did enjoy using it. It is a multi purpose product which is another great selling factor. (Can also use it on your hair.)

L'Occitane Divine Youth Oil - I loved the formula and the results that the oil delivered. However, I did not care at all for the smell of the product.

Miscellaneous

EOS Shave Cream in Pomegranate Raspberry - I didn't care for this shave cream. Would not repurchase.

Mitchum Power Gel Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant in Shower Fresh - The only deodorant that I currently use. I am already on my next stick!

Crest 3D White White Strips in Gentle Routine - Generally, I do love Crest White Strips but I did NOT like these. The adhesive is very sticky and gooey. It can get quite messy. Also, I did not see any improvement in the colour of my teeth. This can be due to the fact that I am an avid coffee drinker and may need something stronger. Love the line but this product simply did not work for my teeth.

 

Nature's Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Advanced Multi Vitamin Formula - I bought this product on a whim one day while I was shopping at Target. My nails were short for months and I really wanted a product to help me grow my nails longer. These multi vitamins really exceeded my expectations and I am constantly receiving compliments on my nails. I bought another bottle but this time, I purchased the gummies (instead of the pills,) and am currently using that bottle. (You will most likely see it in an upcoming empties. Stay tuned!)
